    Este trabalho consiste no desenvolvimento de uma handbike, veículo de propulsão humana voltado para o lazer de pessoas portadoras de deficiência física nos membros inferiores. O projeto foi focado em manter as condições de estabilidade e segurança em níveis satisfatórios, onde foram analisados fatores referentes à geometria da direção, o dimensionamento geral, a ergonomia do ciclista e a análise estrutural, feita em software que utiliza o método dos elementos finitos, apresentando também uma seleção dos componentes necessários para seu funcionamento. O projeto prioriza a simplicidade na construção e manutenção, propondo mudanças nos conceitos já existentes, resultando em uma redução de custo final, contribuindo para popularização dessa prática esportiva no lazer, e ajudando na inclusão dessa parcela da sociedade

    Emerging topics in Brexit debate on Twitter around the deadlines a probabilistic topic modelling approach

    The present study is focused on the online debate relating to the Brexit process, three years and half since the historical referendum that has sanctioned the divide of the United Kingdom from the European Union. In our analysis we consider a corpus of approximately 33 million Brexit related tweets, shared on Twitter for 58 weeks, spanning from 31 December 2019 to 9 February 2020. Due to its great accessibility to data, Twitter constitutes a convenient data source to monitor and evaluate a wide variety of topics. In addition, Twitter’s marked orientation towards news and the dissemination of information makes this microblogging network more connected to politics compared to other platforms. Through static and dynamic topic modelling techniques, we were able to identify the topics that have attracted the most attention from Twitters users and to characterise their temporal evolution. The topics retrieved by the static model highlight the major events of the Brexit process while the dynamic analysis recovered the persistent themes of discussion and debate over the entire period

    Aspergillus biomass production from sugarcane vinasse and its potential use for fish farm feed

    Fish farming development faces several challenges, including the unavailability of good quality and affordable fish feeds. Thus, debate over fish farming is focused on fostering a shift from conventional feeds (fishmeal and soybean meal) to less expensive protein sources such as biomass of some fungal species. Elaborating new policies for improving the management of distillery effluents such as vinasse is relevant throughout the worldwide. Hence, recycling of vinasse for the manufacture of value-added fungal biomass could reduce production costs of fish feed and environmental impact of distillery effluents. In a previous study, it was demonstrated the tolerance of the fungus Aspergillus sp. V1 to high sugarcane vinasse concentrations. The goal of this study was to determine the bromatological composition of fungus biomass produced from vinasse to be used for fish feed formulations. A feed test with different proportions of lyophilized fungus was also performed, using the Guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata) as a model. Biomass produced from vinasse supplemented with 2 g/L urea at 30 °C for 96 h was harvested by pouring out the culture through a fine mesh stainless sieve and washed with distilled water, prior analyses. Total proteins of lyophilized biomass were determined by the Kjeldahl-Arnold-Gunning method using the universal factor of conversion to protein 6.25, total fat (or lipids) by the Soxhlet gravimetric method, crude fiber by the official method (OMA-Official Methods of Analysis), moisture by heating under reduced pressure, ash by weight difference after calcining the sample, and in carbohydrates indirect form: total carbohydrates = 100 – (Proteins + Total Fat + Moisture + Ash). For feed test, a chronic study (28 days) was carried out with different administrations of the lyophilized fungus (0%, 50% and 100%) compared to a commercial food (Shulet Carassius). As variables, parameters related to fish growth (body condition index, K) and enzymes related to oxidative stress (catalase and TBARS) were evaluated. Under the current assay conditions, biomass analysis revealed a protein content (44.0%), fat (3.9%), ash (5.2%), fiber (5.6%), moisture (5.2) and carbohydrate (37.0) within the standards recommended for fish diets. Regarding feed test, the results show a high survival (80%) in the fish fed with the lyophilized fungus compared to fishes feeding with commercial food (50%). Also, the statistical analyzes showed similarity between all the treatments in K index. However, the statistical analyzes revealed significant increases in the enzymes related to oxidative stress in the fishes where commercial food was administered (catalase value: 0.012; TBARS: 28.25) compared to those fed with lyophilized fungus (catalase value: 0.005 to 0.006; TBARS: 21.64 to 26.43). These results demonstrate that Aspergillus sp. V1 grown on vinasse may be used as an inexpensive fish feed ingredient, providing the benefits of a sustainable development across society.Fil: del Gobbo, Luciana Melisa.     Aplicación de tecnología LIDAR en El Shincal de Quimivil, Londres, Catamarca

    The aim of this article is to assess the potential that LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) has for the study of archaeological sites. In doing so, we present our recent research on the site of El Shincal de Quimivil and watershed of the Zapata mountain range, Department of Belén, Province of Catamarca. This is the first research that employs this technology at an archaeological site in the Argentine Republic. LIDAR technology is based on the emission and registration of reflected laser light which thereby allows the identification of different levels of data that the beam finds across its path. This property makes it possible to detect a priori constructions hidden by layers of vegetation. The use of this methodology in different parts of the world has led to the discovery of previously hidden structures and archaeological sites in recent years. The results of our study revealed the presence of new, previously unregistered, archaeological structures at the site, and the generation of a high-resolution Digital Terrain Model (DTM).El objetivo de este artículo es presentar las potencialidades que posee el uso de la tecnología LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) para el estudio de sitios arqueológicos. Para ello daremos a conocer los recientes trabajos realizados en El Shincal de Quimivil e interfluvio de la sierra de Zapata, departamento de Belén, provincia de Catamarca. Se trata de los primeros trabajos con esta tecnología implementados en un sitio arqueológico de la República Argentina. La tecnología LIDAR se basa en la emisión y registro de luz láser reflejada que permite la identificación de distintos niveles de información que el haz encuentra en su camino. Esta propiedad hace posible detectar construcciones a priori ocultas por la capa vegetal. La aplicación de esta metodología en diferentes lugares del mundo ha significado el descubrimiento de estructuras y sitios arqueológicos en los últimos años.     Framing automatic grading techniques for open-ended questionnaires responses. A short survey

    The assessment of students' performances is one of the essential components of teaching activities, and it poses different challenges to teachers and instructors, especially when considering the grading of responses to open-ended questions (i.e., short-answers or essays). Open-ended tasks allow a more in-depth assessment of students' learning levels, but their evaluation and grading are time-consuming and prone to subjective bias. For these reasons, automatic grading techniques have been studied for a long time, focusing mainly on short-answers rather than long essays. Given the growing popularity of Massive Online Open Courses and the shifting from physical to virtual classrooms environments due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the adoption of questionnaires for evaluating learning performances has rapidly increased. Hence, it is of particular interest to analyze the recent effort of researchers in the development of techniques designed to grade students' responses to open-ended questions. In our work, we consider a systematic literature review focusing on automatic grading of open-ended written assignments. The study encompasses 488 articles published from 1984 to 2021 and aims at understanding the research trends and the techniques to tackle essay automatic grading. Lastly, inferences and recommendations are given for future works in the Learning Analytics field

    Pulmonary squamous cell carcinoma with lepidic growth pattern : new insights into lung cancer classification

    Lung squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) has always been considered a monomorphic entity, different from lung adenocarcinoma which is known to be a very heterogeneous tumor from morphological and molecular point of view. Just two histological subtypes of SCC are recognised, the basaloid and lymphoepithelioma-like histotypes, as in other sites different from the lung. Recently, different studies tried to expand the classification of SCC by adding different subtypes based on morphological characteristics (such as keratinization or clear cell features) or different growth patterns (papillary or basaloid).     Synchronous pleural and peritoneal malignant mesothelioma : a case report and review of literature

    The coexistence of mesothelioma and other primary malignancies has been previously reported in literature, but the finding of a pleural mesothelioma with a synchronous peritoneal mesothelioma has not been reported so far. We report a case of a 58-years-old woman that came to our attention for the incidental finding of an inguinal mass. Fine-needle biopsies of the mass and a thoracoscopy with pleural biopsies were performed, after imaging studies showed pleural thickenings suspicious for malignancy. Histological morphology and growth pattern were similar in both cases. Both tumors stained for calretinin, but only the pleural mesothelioma showed positivity for Wilms-Tumor 1 antibody. We tried to demonstrate with molecular biology techniques whether they were synchronous or one was the metastasis of the other, but our studies did not give informative results. The prognosis in this case is poor, and after 6 months the patient is still following a chemotherapy regimen, which is the only practicable approach given the extent of the disease

    Pulmonary adenocarcinoma with massive lymphocytic infiltration: a case report with review of the literature of a rare histological entity with a peculiar biological behaviour

    BACKGROUND: Tumors with a massive inflammatory infiltration are described in several organs. There is agreement about considering the inflammatory infiltration as the host's immune response to neoplastic cells; such neoplasms indeed have a better prognostic outcome than non-inflammatory counterparts. Only seventeen cases of pulmonary adenocarcinoma with massive lymphocytic infiltration (AMLI) have been reported in literature so far. CASE PRESENTATION: We present a case of pulmonary adenocarcinoma with massive lymphocytic infiltration occurring in a 71 years old male smoker. He came under our attention because of dyspnea, and underwent a left lower lobectomy. Histological examination showed a moderately differentiated (G2) acinar adenocarcinoma associated with a stromal desmoplastic reaction and a massive inflammatory infiltration, made up mostly of CD3+ lymphocytes. pTNM stage was pT2a, N0 (clinical stage: Ib).Molecular testing of EGFR gene showed no mutations and immunohistochemistry for ALK resulted negative.EBV infection was ruled out by EBV in situ hybridization. CONCLUSIONS: Literature review showed seventeen similar cases, with a 16/1 male/female ratio and a mean age of 70,2 years. In eight out of seventeen cases EBV-infection was demonstrated with immunohistochemical or molecular biology techniques.Similarly to the cases previously reported in literature our patient is a male smoker, without lymph node metastasis and he is still alive after a follow-up period of six months without recurrent or residual disease.Because of histological, biological and clinical peculiarity, we propose to take into account pulmonary adenocarcinomas with massive inflammatory infiltration for a separate pathological classificatio
