A versatile assessment technique used in classroom for quick and simple feedback is ‘One-Minute paper’. It provides real-time feedback from class and enables the teacher to find out if students have recognized the main points in a class session. The objectives of the study were to employ one-minute paper for post-graduate students during a continuous medical education (CME) program lecture, to assess its effectiveness for achievement of objectives and learning ability of the students, to analyze the questioning pattern of the students for the topic and to obtain feedback on participant’s perception on use of ‘one-minute paper’. The study was employed for one-hour lecture in CME program for post-graduate students. One-Minute paper was employed for the topic ‘Phenylketonuria’. The lecture was sub-divided into five components and the response sheet was designed accordingly. The delivery time for each component varied between 8 to 12 minutes. At the end of each component, 2 minutes was given for the participants to respond to two questions - what was the most important thing they learnt during this session and what important question remains unanswered? Analysis of response was carried out to know achievement of objectives, association of learning ability and questioning pattern. Response to the learning ability showed that 80 to 90% of the participants responded satisfactorily to all the components. Questioning pattern was least for component 3 of the lecture. Questioning skills showed that most questions were in stage 1, 4 and 5. Participants reflected that the use of ‘one-minute paper’ was thinking centered, engaged them throughout the topic and provided liberty for them to ask questions. One-minute paper is inexpensive, easy to use, and an instant assessment means, which reflects the achievement of learning objectives. It is a thinking centered assessment tool, which gives ample opportunity to the learner for active learning. Keywords: One-Minute paper; Questioning pattern; Questioning skills; Thinking centere

This uses the latest in convection display mechanism to create a dynamic liberal DAB model that specifically characterizes its moving slope in order to adjust the reference voltage and modify the work flow. To produce. With this model, a postpaid mechanism was introduced that would fundamentally improve DAB's mobile response to achieve load shift. Then the implementation is increased through the diagnostic make-up to reduce the abnormal mortality time caused by the inverse exchange forms. The output control frame achieves fast and accurate output voltage management for both reference voltage and output changes. A prerequisite for DAB dual voltage amplification is the maintenance of the DC output voltage quickly and accurately under all operating conditions

Rearing of silkworm is highly dependent on environmental variations. To have a healthy cocoon production, it is necessary to have a proper temperature and humidity controlled house for silkworm rearing. Temperature, humidity and fresh air should be managed to get a wonderful silk product. An ideal temperature of 23°C to 28°C and humidity in between 65% to 85% is to be maintained. IoT based silkworm rearing house consists of sensors and actuators, which are interfaced with a low power controllers. The Sericulture unit can be equipped with a wireless sensor node to sense the real time Temperature and Humidity [1], also necessary actuators to control these environmental parameters. The color change in the body of the worms indicates the different stages  and the light yellowish indicates that they have reached to the cocoon stage and the morphological changes in silkworm structure can be used to detect abnormal worms[2].The proposed framework introduces an Internet of Things (IoT) empowered Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) system. The received image is first segregated into two classes as diseased or healthy by analyzing the histogram of the background removed image based on thresholding. Again the diseased class will be sub classified into 2 diseases as either Flacherie or Pebrine by applying suitable mask for extracting worm and obtaining the histogram of the worm and analyzing it. The result will be sent to the farmer via E-mail. The proposed system could be a probable solution for productivity in silkworms. View Article DOI: 10.47856/ijaast.2021.v08i9.00

Background: It appears that the rate of caesarean delivery has been increasing over the past two decades. Various western studies have shown that with previous caesarean section, increased risk of placenta previa, adherent placenta, and greater incidence of antepartum haemorrhage. Nonetheless, the extent to which previous caesarean delivery predisposes women to the development of placenta previa is unclear from earlier studies. Also, there are not many Indian studies regarding the association of placenta previa and previous caesarean section. This study aims to find the association between prior caesarean delivery and subsequent development of placenta previa and adherent placenta. Methods: A descriptive study was conducted on 600 antenatal women with post cesarean pregnancy in a tertiary care centre. Similar number of women with previous normal delivery was included in comparison group and placental location was studied. Those patients with previous caesarean were further divided into those with placenta previa and without previa to study the determinants of previa in those with previous caesarean section. Results: Placenta previa was found in 2.8% of the study group compared to 1.2% of comparison group. Adherent placenta was found only in post caesarean group. In the post caesarean group, the incidence of anterior previa was 41.2% compared to posterior previa (29.3%). In those with post cesarean pregnancy, determinants of placenta previa found were multiparity (35.3%), previous history of abortions (35%), multiple previous caesarean sections (29.4%), interpregnancy interval <2 years (35.29%).Conclusions: In post cesarean pregnancy, the risk of placenta previa is 2 times compared to those with a previous normal delivery. Anterior previa occurred with sufficient frequency in post-caesarean pregnancy to warrant ultrasonic placentography prior to surgical entry into lower segment. When the combination of previous caesarean and placenta previa occurs the risk of adherent placenta is 17.6%

Lifetime models with a non-monotone hazard rate \hspace{0.12cm} function have a wide range of applications in engineering and lifetime data analysis. There are different bathtub shaped failure rate models that are available in reliability literature. Kavya and Manoharan (2021) introduced a new transformation called KM-transformation which was found to be more useful in reliability and lifetime data analysis. Power generalization technique would be the best approach to deal with a system whose components are connected in series, in which the distribution of the component is KM-transformation of any lifetime model. In this article, we introduce a new lifetime model, Power Generalized KM-Transformation (PGKM) for Non-Monotone Failure Rate Distribution, which shows monotone and non-monotone behavior for the hazard rate function for different choices of values of parameters. We derive the moments, moment generating function, characteristic function, quantiles, entropy etc of the proposed distribution. Distributions of minimum and maximum are obtained. Estimation of parameters of the distribution is performed via maximum likelihood method. A simulation study is performed to validate the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE). Analysis of three sets of real data are given

This is the accepted manuscript version of a conference paper which has been published in final form at https://doi.org/10.1007/978-981-99-6974-6_17Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) properties are vital for its reliability in mission-critical applications. This research aims to find network topology, call signalling and voice codecs property combinations that meet reliability targets of VoIP communication in a Small Office Home Office (SOHO) environment where network resources may be limited but reliable and secured operation is essential. Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless LAN (WLAN) scenarios are evaluated using Quality of Service (QoS) and Mean Opinion Score (MOS) measurements to find which property combinations satisfy predefined classes; best quality and best performance. The research extended Roslin et al. [1] on LAN VoIP to WLANs, and validated Khiat et al. [2] s and Guy [3]’s work that argued SIP was effective in optimal set up. This research found that VoIP combinations offer some desirable characteristics, but at the cost of other properties required, leading to categorisation being based on the interpretation of the results, concluding that though, not ideal for mission-critical applications, combinations function well in replicating real-world scenarios. The analysis also established VoIP's scalability for application-based configurations, impact of VoIP’s modularity and ease of configuration in achieving user expectations. Further property testing can solidify VoIP’s capabilities to function for mission-critical environments

Usage of grayscale format of radiological images is proportionately more as compared to that of colored one. This format of medical image suffers from all the possibility of improper clinical inference which will lead to error-prone analysis in further usage of such images in disease detection or classification. Therefore, we present a framework that offers single-window operation with a set of image enhancing algorithm meant for further optimizing the visuality of medical images. The framework performs preliminary pre-processing operation followed by implication of linear and non-linear filter and multi-level image enhancement processes. The significant contribution of this study is that it offers a comprehensive mechanism to implement the various enhancement schemes in highly discrete way that offers potential flexibility to physical in order to draw clinical conclusion about the disease being monitored. The proposed system takes the case study of brain tumor to implement to testify the framework
