The negative results in the search for Kaluza-Klein graviton modes at the LHC, when confronted with the discovery of the Higgs, has been construed to have severely limited the efficacy of the Randall-Sundrum model as an explanation of the hierarchy problem. We show, though, that the presence of multiple warping offers a natural resolution of this conundrum through modifications in both the graviton spectrum and their couplings to the Standard Model fields.Comment: 16 pages, 6 figure

Herbal medicine is still the mainstay of about 70-80% of the world Population mainly in the developing countries for Primary Health Care because better cultural acceptability better, compatibility with the human body and lesser medicine or only palliative therapy is available. Even in this era of antibiotics, radiotherapy and strict drug laws, a very large number of herbal products are consumed and marketed throughout the world as health nutrients, food supplements and curing agents for disease control. It has been observed that number of herbs and their extract are used for hair growth activities some are described as follow: Petroleum ether extract of aerial parts of Tridax procumbens showed luxurious growth of hair in albino rats. 70% ethanolic extract of leaves of Ginko biloba was shown to be effective for hair growth activity. Methanolic extract of Potyporus umbellatus has shown excellent hair growth activity in rats. Combined extract Emblica officinalis, Lawsonia inermis, Nardostachys jatamansi, Cyperus rotundus and Corchorus prevent the falling of hairs and enhancement of hair growth activity. Proanthocynidins from grape seeds promote proliferation of mouse hair follicle cell in vitro and convert hair cycle in vivo similar to Minoxidil 2% solution which is synthetic and has numbers of side effect. Herbal cosmetics are in vogue these days. Nowadays, people have become aware of using herbal cosmetics. Now a day's cosmetology is a well-defined science based on experiences gathered over centuries. The safety and efficacy of natural herbs could not find any suitable match i.e. cannot be replaced by synthetics. There is once again revival of preference for natural products. KEYWORDS: Herbal Medicine, Herbal Cosmetics, Natural Herbs, Hair Growth Activity, Hair Cycl

In the last few decades, a curious thing has happened to Herbal medicines. Instead of being killed off by medical science and pharmaceutical chemistry, it has made come back. Herbal medicine has benefited from the objective analysis of the medical science, while fanciful and emotional claims for herbal cures have been thrown out, herbal treatments and plant medicine that works have been acknowledge. And herbal medicine has been found to have impressive credentials. Developed empirically by trial and error, many herbal treatments were nevertheless remarkably effective. In a recent survey estimated that 39% of all 520 new approved drugs in 1983-1994 were natural products or derived from natural products and 60-80% of antibacterial and anticancer drugs were derived from natural products. Medicinal plants play an important role in the development of potent therapeutic agents. Plant derived drugs came into use in the modern medicine through the uses of plant material as indigenous cure in folklore or traditional systems of medicine. Bacopa Monnieri, Cyperus Rotundus & Emblica Offcinalis (Brahmi, Nagarmotha, Amla) have several chemical compounds have been isolated from these herbs which are useful in treating number of diseases like : Diarrhea, Vomiting, Indigestion, Antibacterial, Antifungal, Antiviral, Hair Growth, Hair Wash, Anti-Oxidant, Anti-Convulsant, Analgesic, Anti-Allergic, Antifungal, Cardiac Depressant And Cardio-Tonic etc. These reported therapeutic activities are due to the presence of Phyto-chemicals present in these Herbs. Even Ayurveda has recognizes the nutritional elements derived from foods, and rasayanas which help to optimize the availability of essential nutrients†in the body.KEYWORDS: Bacopa Monnieri, Cyperus Rotundus, Emblica Officinalis, Medicinal plants, Antibacterial, Cardio-Tonic, Hair growth, Herbal plants, Ayurveda, Brahmi, Nagarmotha, Amla, Essential Nutrients, Herbal Cosmetics, Physico-chemical, Chemical Constituents, Inorganic Components, Phyto-Constituent, Pharmacological and Traditional Properties

Bulk reconstruction using timelike entanglement in (A)dS

It is well-known that the entanglement entropies for spacelike subregions, and the associated modular Hamiltonians play a crucial role in the bulk reconstruction program within Anti de-Sitter (AdS) holography. Explicit examples of HKLL map exist mostly for the cases where the emergent bulk region is the so-called entanglement wedge of the given boundary subregion. However, motivated from the complex pseudo-entropy in Euclidean conformal field theories (CFT), one can talk about a `timelike entanglement' in Lorentzian CFTs dual to AdS spacetimes. One can then utilize this boundary timelike entanglement to define a boundary `timelike modular Hamiltonian'. We use constraints involving these Hamiltonians in a manner similar to how it was used for spacelike cases, and write down bulk operators in regions which are not probed by an RT surface corresponding to a single CFT. In the context of two dimensional CFT, we re-derive the HKLL formulas for free bulk scalar fields in three examples: in AdS Poincar\'{e} patch, inside and outside of the AdS black hole, and for de Sitter flat slicings. In this method, one no longer requires the knowledge of bulk dynamics for sub-horizon holography.Comment: Version 2. 51 pages, 13 figures. Minor modifications and corrections. References added. Background: Personality of medical students have been shown to affect both their academic performance as well as their capabilities to develop rapport with patients, with evidence that they change through the medical course. This research aimed to explore the personality traits of undergraduate medical students and assess whether personality parameters changed throughout the medical education course. Methods: A pseudo-longitudinal design was utilized for this study. A total of 346 MBBS students studying in a Medical College of Eastern India were recruited at different stages of their coursework. These participants were similar in their sociodemographic makeup and differed only with respect to their year of MBBS study. The personality characteristics were assessed among these participants using the short-form revised Eysenck personality inventory. Results: The minimum possible score for each subscale was 0, and the maximum was 12. Mean scores of the participants for the extraversion, neuroticism, psychoticism, and lie scales were 6.17±3.09, 7.51±3.16, 3.40±1.61, and 4.98±2.48, respectively. Females scored significantly higher in neuroticism and lie dimensions. There were significant differences of psychoticism scores between rural and urban background participants. Significant negative trend was seen from the first to the final year of study in the extraversion dimension (Kendall’s tau =-0.094, p-value=0.025). Conclusion: Medical students in India scored high on the neuroticism and low on the psychoticism scales of personality with a trend of increasing extraversion over the years of their coursework

Preparation of Undoped and Phosphorus Doped μc-Si:H Films: Effect of Extended Period of Hydrogen Plasma Annealing in Interrupted Growth

    Get PDF
Interrupted growth and H-plasma annealing of stacking layers of Si:H film resulted in a significant improvement in material properties towards microcrystallization. Increase of dark conductivity and reduction of optical absorption due to extended period of hydrogen plasma exposure was noted. An associated improvement in the network structure towards crystallinity was observed by Raman, TEM and XRD studies. Highly conducting ( σD ~ 6 × 10-3 s. cm-1) undoped mc-Si:H films have been prepared at significantly low thickness of 650 Å. P-doped mc-Si:H films having conductivity ~ 26.2 S.cm-1 were obtained from very low level of PH3 dilution. Large number of dopants introduce additional defects at the grain boundary and inhibits the crystallization process
