The Relationship Between Teachersā Perception Towards School Climate and Their Decision-Making Styles at a Primary School in Anning District, Lanzhou City, China
Ā The main purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between teachersā perception towards school climate and their decisionmaking styles at a selected primary school in Anning District, Lanzhou city, China. The study firstly assessed the teachersā perception towards school climate, examined the teachersā decision-making styles; lastly tested the relationship between these two main variables. A total of 71 full-time teachers replied the questionnaires adopted by the researcher. Means and Standard Deviations were used to report the teachersā perception towards school climate and their decision-making styles; Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient analysis was applied to test the relationship between these two variables. The results showed that, the teachers in the target school had a relatively positive attitude towards school climate. Besides, teachersā most preferred decision-making style was group decision-making style. The Pearson Correlation test indicated that there was a significant relationship between teachersā perception towards school climate and their decisionmaking styles at the selected primary school in Anning District, Lanzhou city, China.
Convergence on Gauss-Seidel iterative methods for linear systems with general H-matrices
It is well known that as a famous type of iterative methods in numerical
linear algebra, Gauss-Seidel iterative methods are convergent for linear
systems with strictly or irreducibly diagonally dominant matrices, invertible
matrices (generalized strictly diagonally dominant matrices) and Hermitian
positive definite matrices. But, the same is not necessarily true for linear
systems with nonstrictly diagonally dominant matrices and general matrices.
This paper firstly proposes some necessary and sufficient conditions for
convergence on Gauss-Seidel iterative methods to establish several new
theoretical results on linear systems with nonstrictly diagonally dominant
matrices and general matrices. Then, the convergence results on
preconditioned Gauss-Seidel (PGS) iterative methods for general matrices
are presented. Finally, some numerical examples are given to demonstrate the
results obtained in this paper
A Case Study of Green Energy Roofs in Taiwan Using Financial Analyses
As part of the low-carbon policy and development in Taiwan, the Bureau of Energy introduced the āGreen Energy Roofs Projectā in 2017, which encouraged homeowners to install green energy roofs. However, the incentives of homeowners and solar photovoltaic operators to participate in this Project were low. The aim of this study is to propose and evaluate alternative models for investing green energy roofs. The contributions of this study are that, first, we consider factors such as risk management schemes and crowdfunding that have not been considered in evaluating green energy roofs project. In addition, this study provides a solution to Taiwan governmentās current dilemma about how to encourage homeowners to install green energy roofs. This study adopts five common investment appraisal methods (including payback period, discounted payback period, net present value, internal rate of return and profitability index) to evaluate four different models for investing green energy roofs. The results show that when homeowners are fully responsible for installation costs of green energy roofs with partial funds borrowed from banks and with consideration of risk management, the homeowners have better investment returns. Therefore, the Taiwan government could consider the alternative strategy proposed in this study for promoting green energy roofs so that the country can x`move a bigger step forward towards the goal of being nuclear-free
