Get PDF
Augmented Reality (AR) offers transformative potential for augmenting and replacing realities within a wide range of business and social applications. Within this, this study explores antecedents of behavioral adoption of AR mobile travel apps to visit a heritage site by substituting in-person and corporeal tourism experiences through a visualization technique that overlays 3D simulated architecture in front of a user. This research specifically investigates the collective impact of perceived app attributes of the AR service model, and critical characteristics of users in terms of their underlying psychological predispositions impacting their behavioral intention to use AR travel apps for heritage tourism in an emerging nation. In pursuance of this, we adopt a unique mixed-method research methodology where industry experts and travel enthusiasts are invited to delve into the phenomenon and identify facilitators of AR mobile app adoption for heritage tourism in India. Empirical findings find that experiential authenticity, service quality, and user innovativeness are the significant underlying factors expediting the use of AR mobile apps. Additionally, with a focus on the sustainability aspect of AR tourism, this study considers sustainability within travel. This construct is critical since it discerns how it affects the boundary conditions in the light of consumers' personality characteristics for determining intention to use AR apps, thereby providing insightful inferences for the tourism industry and research.</p

Within the National Innovation System, universities play a key role as the main source of knowledge that supports national productivity and as a system that seeks to improve the competitiveness of firms competitiveness and to find answers concerning market needs in today’s fast-changing and globalized economy. Innovation, as a source of competitiveness, is normally supported by a firm’s technological capabilities: internal R&D, external collaborative agreements, and relationships with universities. This study uses a cluster analysis to identify three clusters that represent respectively those firms that interact closely with universities for technology development (which include R&D projects) and technological learning activities, those firms that interact with universities for technological learning only, and those that do not have any kind of relationship with universities. We also analyze the innovation performance of each cluster. Data here come from the Second Colombian Innovation Survey, which was applied in 2005 to a sample of 6,222 firms. Among the main results, this study shows a higher innovation performance for those firms with relevant linkages for technology learning activities

Payment processing systems have advanced significantly in the airline business. Because e-payments are easy, they have captured the attention of many companies in the aviation industry and are quickly becoming the dominant means of payment. However, as technology advances, fraud grows at a comparable rate. Over the years, there has been a surge in payment fraud incidents in the airline sector, reducing the platform\u27s trustworthiness. Despite attempts to eliminate epayment fraud, decision-makers lack the technical expertise required to use the finest fraud detection and prevention assessments. This research recognizes the lack of an established decision model as a hurdle and seeks to fix the problem. In response, this research aims to develop a decision model for the airline industry to evaluate the e-payment fraud detection and prevention capabilities of airlines. The literature examines the scope of airline payment fraud to formulate the optimal framework to handle the problem. Guided by the results, the study proceeds to develop an HDM model from experts’ validation, quantification, and desirability inputs. The results of the factors’ validation and quantification show that the Economic and Financial, and the Security perspectives have the most impact on decision-making. Airline companies can use the developed framework to examine whether they are ready to adopt online fraud prevention technologies to increase their success rate. To measure payment organizations\u27 readiness for digital payment fraud protection technologies, a scoring methodology was developed in this research and applied to two case studies

Cyber security is one of the topics that gain importance today. It is necessary to determine the basic components, basic dynamics, and main actors of the Cyber security issue, which is obvious that it will have an impact in many areas from social, social, economic, environmental, and political aspects, as a hot research topic. When the subject literature is examined, it has become a trend-forming research subject followed by institutions and organizations that produce R&D policy, starting from the level of governments. In this study, cybersecurity research is examined in the context of 5 basic cyber security functions specified in the cyber security standard (CSF) defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). It is aimed to determine the research topics emerging in the international literature, to identify the most productive countries, to determine the rankings created by these countries according to their functions, to determine the research clusters and research focuses. In the study, several quantitative methods were used, especially scientometrics, social network analysis (SNA) line theory and structural hole analysis. Statistical tests (Log-Likelihood Ratio) were used to reveal the prominent areas, and the text mining method was also used. we first defined a workflow according to the “Identify”, “Protect”, “Detect”, “Respond” and “Recover” setups, and conducted an online search on the Web of Science (WoS) to access the information on the publications on the relevant topics It is seen that actors, institutions and research create different densities according to various geographical regions in the 5 functions defined within the framework of cybersecurity. It is possible to say that infiltration detection, the internet of things and the concept of artificial intelligence are among the other prominent research focuses, although it is seen that smart grids are among the most prominent research topics. In the first clustering analysis we performed, we can say that 17 clusters are formed, especially when we look under the definition function. The largest of these clusters has 32 data points, so-called decision making models

Get PDF
Purpose Supply chains need to be made viable in this volatile and competitive market, which could be possible through digitalization. This study is an attempt to explore the role of Industry 4.0, smart supply chain, supply chain agility and supply chain resilience on sustainable business performance from the lens of natural resource-based view. Design/methodology/approach The study tests the proposed model using a covariance-based structural equation modelling and further investigates the ranking of each construct using the artificial neural networks approach in AMOS and SPSS respectively. A total of 234 respondents selected using purposive sampling aided in capturing the industry practices across supply chains in the UK. The full collinearity test was carried out to study the common method bias and the content validity was carried out using the item content validity index and scale content validity index. The convergent and discriminant validity of the constructs and mediation study was carried out in SPSS and AMOS V.23. Findings The results are overtly inferring the significant impact of Industry 4.0 practices on creating smart and ultimately sustainable supply chains. A partial relationship is established between Industry 4.0 and supply chain agility through a smart supply chain. This work empirically reinstates the combined significance of green practices, Industry 4.0, smart supply chain, supply chain agility and supply chain resilience on sustainable business value. The study also uses the ANN approach to determine the relative importance of each significant variable found in SEM analysis. ANN determines the ranking among the significant variables, i.e. supply chain resilience \u3e green practices \u3e Industry 4.0\u3e smart supply chain \u3e supply chain agility presented in descending order. Originality/value This study is a novel attempt to establish the role of digitalization in SCs for attaining sustainable business value, providing empirical support to the mediating role of supply chain agility, supply chain resilience and smart supply chain and manifests a significant integrated framework. This work reinforces the integrated model that combines all the constructs dealt with in silos so far in prior literature
