The analysts and evaluators in the financial market needs to risk free rate return (RFRR) to take the financing and investment decisions. This paper aims to study and analyze the causal relationship between Euribor rate and stock prices in the Arab stock exchanges, at level of nine Arab stock markets namely: Abu Dhabi, Bahrein, Morocco, Dubai, Egypt, Kuwait,Muscat, Qatar and Saudia during 2007 -2013. The results showed a strong inverse relationship between the Euribor rate and stock prices in the Arab stock exchanges, and that the Euribor rate can be used as an indicator for the pricing in Arab Stock markets

The analysis of banking performance is very important, allowing Islamic banks to better understand the factors that affect their profitability. The purpose of our studyhere, is to examine the main financial indicators that influence the profitability of an Islamic bank called "El Baraka" and to compare them with those of a conventional bank "BNA". And for this reason, we used the ordinary least squares method during the period 2005 - 2015

An Optimal Current Controller Design for a Grid Connected Inverter to Improve Power Quality and Test Commercial PV Inverters

Grid connected inverters play a crucial role in generating energy to be fed to the grid. A filter is commonly used to suppress the switching frequency harmonics produced by the inverter, this being passive, and either an L- or LCL-filter. The latter is smaller in size compared to the L-filter. But choosing the optimal values of the LCL-filter is challenging due to resonance, which can affect stability. This paper presents a simple inverter controller design with an L-filter. The control topology is simple and applied easily using traditional control theory. Fast Fourier Transform analysis is used to compare different grid connected inverter control topologies. The modelled grid connected inverter with the proposed controller complies with the IEEE-1547 standard, and total harmonic distortion of the output current of the modelled inverter has been just 0.25% with an improved output waveform. Experimental work on a commercial PV inverter is then presented, including the effect of strong and weak grid connection. Inverter effects on the resistive load connected at the point of common coupling are presented. Results show that the voltage and current of resistive load, when the grid is interrupted, are increased, which may cause failure or damage for connecting appliances

Advancing electrical properties through hybridization: Synthesis, characterization, and doping of poly(m‐aminophenol)/ SnO2 Nanocomposites

This study focuses on the synthesis of novel organic/inorganic hybrid materials by combining the conductive polymer poly (m-aminophenol) (PMAP) with the metal oxide SnO2, with the primary aim of enhancing the electrical properties of the resulting nanocomposite polymer. The nanocomposite is intricately crafted through in situ polymerization of m-aminophenol in the presence of SnO2, incorporating various loading rates (1%, 3%, 10%). Comprehensive characterization of the synthesized materials is conducted using analytical techniques including infrared spectroscopy (IR), UV–Visible spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction (DRX), confirming the structural integrity of the hybrid materials. Notably, XRD analyses distinctly illustrate the successful integration of SnO2 into the polymer matrix. Conducting an extensive study on the doping of PMAP samples with varying concentrations of SnO2 (1%, 3%, and 10%) reveals a nuanced relationship between dopant concentration and electrical conductivity. The doped polymers exhibit a significant enhancement in electrical conductivity, directly correlating with the concentration of SnO2. This comprehensive exploration offers valuable insights into customizing the electrical properties of hybrid materials for diverse applications

Characterization, at Partial Loads, of the Combustion and Emissions of a Dual-Fuel Engine Burning Diesel and a Lean Gas Surrogate

For decentralized power generation in West Africa, gas from a small biomass gasification unit can be used as the main fuel in a dual-fuel engine with diesel as the pilot fuel. To study the combustion in this type of engine (Lister Petter), experiments were conducted with a surrogate gas composed of liquefied petroleum gas and nitrogen (LPGN2), the energy context of which is similar to that of syngas. The tests were conducted at different loads and for different diesel substitution rates. The combustion analysis showed that the LPGN2 mixture had an overall behaviour similar to neat diesel, while the pressure peaks were lower in dual-fuel mode. The results also indicated a longer ignition delay and a pronounced diffusive combustion phase leading to a lower indicated mean effective pressure with gas. The fuel efficiencies remained low in both mono- and dual-fuel operation. The relative instability of the combustion in dual-fuel mode gave rise to an increase in the coefficient of variation (COVIMEP). Compared to neat diesel, the engine running at low loads in dual-fuel mode showed higher emission levels of CO, a slight reduction of 2.5% of CO2 and a sub-stantial decrease of 73% for nitrogen oxides
