Globalisasi dan Tata Ekonomi Politik Baru: Studi Kasus Persebaran K-Pop di Amerika Latin

Globalisasi dan Resistensi: Studi Kasus Kemunculan Gerakan Occupy Wallstreet
The main globalist argument is to depict globalization as a universalization process. The notion chains several debates on how the future of resistance takes place within globalization. The interconnectivity, which became the main feature of the recent globalization, issues a dominant narrative concerning universal governance in the form of capitalism. Those dominant narrative results in an inevitable globalization paradigm. On the other hand, the skeptic critics stated that interconnectivity made possible towards resistance upon globalization in terms of relations between market and state. This research departs from the skeptic notions of globalization to argue that there is a robust future of resistance and ideology along with the globalization process. Globalization brought up a discussion concerning the nature of the paradox of power, which lies beneath interconnectivity. On the one hand, interconnectivity connects the capitalist impacting the hegemon nature of nowadays capitalism. On the other hand, the hegemony caught up in a vis-a-vis position with the ideological resistance in the Occupy Wallstreet movement. Keywords: Globalization, Resistance, Occupy Wallstreet Movement, Power, InterconnectivityArgumen kaum globalis yang mengidentifikasi globalisasi sebagai proses universalisasi memunculkan perdebatan mengenai eksistensi resistensi.

Rapid tranquillisation for agitated patients in emergency psychiatric rooms: a randomised trial of midazolam versus haloperidol plus promethazine
OBJECTIVE: To compare two widely used drug treatments for people with aggression or agitation due to mental illness.
DESIGN: Pragmatic, randomised clinical trial.
SETTING: Three psychiatric emergency rooms in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
SUBJECTS: 301 aggressive or agitated people.
INTERVENTIONS: Open treatment with intramuscular midazolam or intramuscular haloperidol plus promethazine.
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Patients tranquil or sedated at 20 minutes. Secondary outcomes: patients tranquil or asleep by 40, 60, and 120 minutes; restrained or given extra drugs within 2 hours; severe adverse events; another episode of agitation or aggression; needing extra visits from doctor during first 24 hours; overall antipsychotic load in first 24 hours; and not discharged by two weeks
Terorisme di Indonesia: Antara Kepentingan Politik Negara dan Permasalahan Ontologis
The arguments on terrorism has been debated since long time, and yet ther has been no collective agreement of how to define terrorism. As a major Moslem country, Indonesia also has this problem, diversity of definitions. Here, terrorism is crossing path with religious and nationalism discourses. This writing is aimed to mapping the various definition of terrorism in both academia and government. This paper consist of three parts. First, explanation on how state‟s perspective on terrorism is always fluidly folow the political interest. Second, The academia definitions that has ontological precisition. The last students perception on terrorism that goes along with government‟s. Keywords: Terrorism, Definition, Indonesia, College Student
Circulating C-reactive protein and breast cancer risk – systematic literature review and meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies
We conducted a systematic literature review to explore the association between circulating C-reactive protein (CRP), a low-grade inflammation biomarker, and breast cancer risk. Relevant prospective studies in women were identified in PubMed and Web of Science until February 2015. Random-effects dose-response metaanalysis was conducted, overall and in post-menopausal women. Twelve out of 15 studies identified were included in the meta-analysis on any breast cancers (3,522 cases, 69,610 women) and nine on postmenopausal breast cancer (2,516 cases, 36,847 women). For each doubling of CRP concentration, a 7% (95% CI: 2%–12%) and 6% (95% CI: 1%–11%) increased risk was observed (I2=47% and 32%; P heterogeneity=0.04 and 0.17), respectively. The association was linear over most of the range of CRP concentrations. Positive associations remained in the studies that examined the exclusion of early years of follow-up. Associations were attenuated in studies adjusted for lifestyle factors, which partly explained the significant heterogeneity between studies in the overall analysis. On average, the associations in studies adjusted or not adjusted for body mass index were similar. Low-grade inflammation may have a role in breast cancer development. Additional prospective studies are needed to better understand confounding and effect modification from lifestyle factors
Pair creation of anti-de Sitter black holes on a cosmic string background
We analyze the quantum process in which a cosmic string breaks in an anti-de
Sitter (AdS) background, and a pair of charged or neutral black holes is
produced at the ends of the strings. The energy to materialize and accelerate
the pair comes from the strings tension. In an AdS background this is the only
study done in the process of production of a pair of correlated black holes
with spherical topology. The acceleration of the produced black holes is
necessarily greater than (|L|/3)^(1/2), where L<0 is the cosmological constant.
Only in this case the virtual pair of black holes can overcome the attractive
background AdS potential well and become real. The instantons that describe
this process are constructed through the analytical continuation of the AdS
C-metric. Then, we explicitly compute the pair creation rate of the process,
and we verify that (as occurs with pair creation in other backgrounds) the pair
production of nonextreme black holes is enhanced relative to the pair creation
of extreme black holes by a factor of exp(Area/4), where Area is the black hole
horizon area. We also conclude that the general behavior of the pair creation
rate with the mass and acceleration of the black holes is similar in the AdS,
flat and de Sitter cases, and our AdS results reduce to the ones of the flat
case when L=0.Comment: 13 pages, 3 figures, ReVTeX
The seesaw mechanism at TeV scale in the 3-3-1 model with right-handed neutrinos
We implement the seesaw mechanism in the 3-3-1 model with right-handed
neutrinos. This is accomplished by the introduction of a scalar sextet into the
model and the spontaneous violation of the lepton number. We identify the
Majoron as a singlet under symmetry, which makes it
safe under the current bounds imposed by electroweak data. The main result of
this work is that the seesaw mechanism works already at TeV scale with the
outcome that the right-handed neutrino masses lie in the electroweak scale, in
the range from MeV to tens of GeV. This window provides a great opportunity to
test their appearance at current detectors, though when we contrast our results
with some previous analysis concerning detection sensitivity at LHC, we
conclude that further work is needed in order to validate this search.Comment: about 13 pages, no figure
