Confectionery package
A package for holding a plurality of non-spherical products, each product having at least one product axis, is provided. The package comprises a tray defining a tray plane, a plurality of open pockets protruding from the tray plane, each for containing a single product; and each pocket including an angular orienting pocket wall portion for angularly orienting the product within the pocket, so that a product axis is angularly oriented with respect to the tray plane

Conjugacy theorems for loop reductive group schemes and Lie algebras
The conjugacy of split Cartan subalgebras in the finite dimensional simple
case (Chevalley) and in the symmetrizable Kac-Moody case (Peterson-Kac) are
fundamental results of the theory of Lie algebras. Among the Kac-Moody Lie
algebras the affine algebras stand out. This paper deals with the problem of
conjugacy for a class of algebras --extended affine Lie algebras-- that are in
a precise sense higher nullity analogues of the affine algebras. Unlike the
methods used by Peterson-Kac, our approach is entirely cohomological and
geometric. It is deeply rooted on the theory of reductive group schemes
developed by Demazure and Grothendieck, and on the work of J. Tits on buildingsComment: Publi\'e dans Bulletin of Mathematical Sciences 4 (2014), 281-32
Strongly Enhanced Current Densities in Superconducting Coated Conductors of YBa2Cu3O7-x + BaZrO3
There are numerous potential applications for superconducting tapes, based on
YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) films coated onto metallic substrates. A long established
goal of more than 15 years has been to understand the magnetic flux pinning
mechanisms which allow films to maintain high current densities out to high
magnetic fields. In fact, films carry 1-2 orders of magnitude higher current
densities than any other form of the material. For this reason, the idea of
further improving pinning has received little attention. Now that
commercialisation of conductors is much closer, for both better performance and
lower fabrication costs, an important goal is to achieve enhanced pinning in a
practical way. In this work, we demonstrate a simple and industrially scaleable
route which yields a 1.5 to 5-fold improvement in the in-field current
densities of already-high-quality conductors

Effective theories of single field inflation when heavy fields matter
We compute the low energy effective field theory (EFT) expansion for
single-field inflationary models that descend from a parent theory containing
multiple other scalar fields. By assuming that all other degrees of freedom in
the parent theory are sufficiently massive relative to the inflaton, it is
possible to derive an EFT valid to arbitrary order in perturbations, provided
certain generalized adiabaticity conditions are respected. These conditions
permit a consistent low energy EFT description even when the inflaton deviates
off its adiabatic minimum along its slowly rolling trajectory. By generalizing
the formalism that identifies the adiabatic mode with the Goldstone boson of
this spontaneously broken time translational symmetry prior to the integration
of the heavy fields, we show that this invariance of the parent theory dictates
the entire non-perturbative structure of the descendent EFT. The couplings of
this theory can be written entirely in terms of the reduced speed of sound of
adiabatic perturbations. The resulting operator expansion is distinguishable
from that of other scenarios, such as standard single inflation or DBI
inflation. In particular, we re-derive how certain operators can become
transiently strongly coupled along the inflaton trajectory, consistent with
slow-roll and the validity of the EFT expansion, imprinting features in the
primordial power spectrum, and we deduce the relevant cubic operators that
imply distinct signatures in the primordial bispectrum which may soon be
constrained by observations.Comment: (v1) 25 pages, 1 figure; (v2) references added and typos corrected,

Tracking a Medically Important Spider: Climate Change, Ecological Niche Modeling, and the Brown Recluse (Loxosceles reclusa)
Most spiders use venom to paralyze their prey and are commonly feared for their potential to cause injury to humans. In North America, one species in particular, Loxosceles reclusa (brown recluse spider, Sicariidae), causes the majority of necrotic wounds induced by the Araneae. However, its distributional limitations are poorly understood and, as a result, medical professionals routinely misdiagnose brown recluse bites outside endemic areas, confusing putative spider bites for other serious conditions. To address the issue of brown recluse distribution, we employ ecological niche modeling to investigate the present and future distributional potential of this species. We delineate range boundaries and demonstrate that under future climate change scenarios, the spider's distribution may expand northward, invading previously unaffected regions of the USA. At present, the spider's range is centered in the USA, from Kansas east to Kentucky and from southern Iowa south to Louisiana. Newly influenced areas may include parts of Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, South Dakota, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. These results illustrate a potential negative consequence of climate change on humans and will aid medical professionals in proper bite identification/treatment, potentially reducing bite misdiagnoses
