Hate speech detection has become a crucial mission in many fields. This paper introduces the system of team By1510. In this work, we participate in the HaSpeeDe 2 (Hate Speech Detection) shared task which is organized within Evalita 2020(The Final Workshop of the 7th evaluation campaign). In order to obtain more abundant semantic information, we combine the original output of BERT-Ita and the hidden state outputs of BERT-Ita. We take part in task A. Our model achieves an F1 score of 77.66% (6/27) in the tweets test set and our model achieves an F1 score of 66.38% (14/27) in the news headlines test set.L’individuazione dell’incitamento all’odio è diventata una missione cruciale in molti campi. Laser-induced periodic annular surface structures on fused silica surface

    No full text
International audienceWe report on the formation of laser-induced periodic annular surface structures on fused silica irradiated with multiple femtosecond laser pulses. This surface morphology emerges after the disappearance of the conventional laser induced periodic surface structures, under successive laser pulse irradiation. It is independent of the laser polarization and universally observed for different focusing geometries. We interpret its formation in terms of the interference between the reflected laser field on the surface of the damage crater and the incident laser pulse

Interaction of Isoflavones with β-Conglycinin and Its Effect on the Structure and Potential Allergenicity of Their Complex

In this study, the interaction mechanism of isoflavones with β-conglycinin (BGG) and its effect on the structure and potential allergenicity of their complex were investigated. Fluorescence spectroscopy and circular dichroism spectroscopy were used to analyze the types of quenching, the number of binding sites, the types of forces and the secondary structure content of BGG complexes with one of the two soy isoflavones genistein (Gen) and daidzein (Dai). The structure of isoflavone-BGG complexes prepared under different conditions was characterized, and the potential allergenicity of the complexes were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and Western blotting. The result showed that isoflavones caused a static quench of the fluorescence of BGG, and the interaction was dominated by hydrophobic interactions, with one binding site. Furthermore, the interaction with isoflavones induced an increase in the polarity of the amino acid microenvironment of BGG, which led to unfolding of the peptide chain and a looser structure. ELISA and immunoblotting of digestion products showed that the potential allergenicity of the protein was enhanced by the binding of isoflavones. The results of this study would be helpful to understand how isoflavones affect the allergenicity of allergenic proteins in complex food matrices, and be significant for its further development and utilization for allergenicity reduction

In this work, keyhole-tungsten inert gas (K-TIG) butt welding was used to join 10 mm thick Invar 36 alloy plates. The effect of heat input on the microstructure, morphology and mechanical properties was studied by using scanning electron microscopy, high energy synchrotron X-ray diffraction, microhardness mapping, tensile and impact testing. It was shown that regardless of the selected heat input, the material was solely composed of austenite, although the grain size changed significantly. The change in heat input also led to texture changes in the fusion zone, as qualitatively determined with synchrotron radiation. With increases in heat input, the impact properties of the welded joints decreased. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the joints was measured, which demonstrated that the current process is suitable for aerospace applications.publishersversionpublishe

A versatile route to fabricate single atom catalysts with high chemoselectivity

    Get PDF
Preparation of single atom catalysts (SACs) is of broad interest to materials scientists and chemists but remains a formidable challenge. Herein, we develop an efficient approach to synthesize SACs via a precursor-dilution strategy, in which metalloporphyrin (MTPP) with target metals are co-polymerized with diluents (tetraphenylporphyrin, TPP), followed by pyrolysis to N-doped porous carbon supported SACs (M1/N-C). Twenty-four different SACs, including noble metals and non-noble metals, are successfully prepared. In addition, the synthesis of a series of catalysts with different surface atom densities, bi-metallic sites, and metal aggregation states are achieved. This approach shows remarkable adjustability and generality, providing sufficient freedom to design catalysts at atomic-scale and explore the unique catalytic properties of SACs. As an example, we show that the prepared Pt1/N-C exhibits superior chemoselectivity and regioselectivity in hydrogenation. It only converts terminal alkynes to alkenes while keeping other reducible functional groups such as alkenyl, nitro group, and even internal alkyne intact

Development, validation, and evaluation of a risk assessment tool for personalized screening of gastric cancer in Chinese populations

Background Effective risk prediction models are lacking for personalized endoscopic screening of gastric cancer (GC). We aimed to develop, validate, and evaluate a questionnaire-based GC risk assessment tool for risk prediction and stratification in the Chinese population. Methods In this three-stage multicenter study, we first selected eligible variables by Cox regression models and constructed a GC risk score (GCRS) based on regression coefficients in 416,343 subjects (aged 40–75 years) from the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB, development cohort). In the same age range, we validated the GCRS effectiveness in 13,982 subjects from another independent Changzhou cohort (validation cohort) as well as in 5348 subjects from an endoscopy screening program in Yangzhou. Finally, we categorized participants into low (bottom 20%), intermediate (20–80%), and high risk (top 20%) groups by the GCRS distribution in the development cohort. Results The GCRS using 11 questionnaire-based variables demonstrated a Harrell’s C-index of 0.754 (95% CI, 0.745–0.762) and 0.736 (95% CI, 0.710–0.761) in the two cohorts, respectively. In the validation cohort, the 10-year risk was 0.34%, 1.05%, and 4.32% for individuals with a low (≤ 13.6), intermediate (13.7~30.6), and high (≥ 30.7) GCRS, respectively. In the endoscopic screening program, the detection rate of GC varied from 0.00% in low-GCRS individuals, 0.27% with intermediate GCRS, to 2.59% with high GCRS. A proportion of 81.6% of all GC cases was identified from the high-GCRS group, which represented 28.9% of all the screened participants. Conclusions The GCRS can be an effective risk assessment tool for tailored endoscopic screening of GC in China. Risk Evaluation for Stomach Cancer by Yourself (RESCUE), an online tool was developed to aid the use of GCRS
