Psychologie sociale, systèmes socieux et idéologies

El autor examina dos series de cuestiones que afectan al status epistemológico de la psicología social. La primera está centrada en la relación entre psicología social e ideologia y enfrenta a quienes intentan aislar la práctica psicosociológica de los problemas ideológicos y a quienes consideran que ambos están indisolublemente unidos. La segunda está relacionada con el problema del método experimental en psicología social y enfrenta a quienes creen en la posibilidad de una neutralidad ideológica de los métodos y quienes señalan la carga ideológica constitutiva de la propia experimentación. Tras una apretada discusión de las implicaciones que conllevan las distintas posturas, el autor, experimentalista convencido, señala el carácter necesariamente ideológico de la práctica experimental y del propio objeto de la psicología social y hace un llamamiento a la elaboración de una metodología experimental que asuma estas características y que sea capaz de abarcar, en situación natural, los sistemas sociales complejos sin que éstos se vean amputados, bajo pretextos epistemo metodológicos, de sus dimensiones ideológicas.The author discuses two sets of questions related to the epistemological status of social psychology. The first set is centred on the relation between social psychology and ideology and it registers the oposition between those who try to separate sociopsychological praxis from ideological problems and those who think that the two are absolutly linked. The second set is related to the problem of experimental methodology in social psychology and it shows the oposition between those who believe in the possibility of an ideological neutrality of methods and those who point to the ideological nature of experimentation. After a close discusion of the implications of the different positions, the author, experimentalist by conviction, points to the ideological character of the experimental praxis and the object of social psychology. Finally he calls for the constitution of an experimental methodology which would be able to investigate complex social systems in natural settings without excluding its ideological dimensions on the basis of epistemo-methodological pretexts
