Stop-words in keyphrase extraction problem
Keyword extraction problem is one of the most significant tasks in information retrieval. High-quality keyword extraction sufficiently influences the progress in the following subtasks of information retrieval: classification and clustering, data mining, knowledge extraction and representation, etc. The research environment has specified a layout for keyphrase extraction. However, some of the possible decisions remain uninvolved in the paradigm. In the paper the authors observe the scope of interdisciplinary methods applicable to automatic stop list feeding. The chosen method belongs to the class of experiential models. The research procedure based on this method allows to improve the quality of keyphrase extraction on the stage of candidate keyphrase building. Several ways to automatic feeding of the stop lists are proposed in the paper as well. One of them is based on provisions of lexical statistics and the results of its application to the discussed task point out the non-gaussian nature of text corpora. The second way based on usage of the Inspec train collection to the feeding of stop lists improves the quality considerably
Anticorrosive effects and antimicrobial properties of alkyldimethyl(hydroxyalkyl)ammonium bromides
Quaternary ammonium compounds containing the hydroxyalkyl moiety in the head group have been synthesized. These compounds exhibit a micelle-forming ability, high anticorrosive activity, and antimicrobial action. The compounds of the formula R(CH3)2N+(CH2CH 2CH2OH)Br- with R = C14H 29-C18H37 are characterized by a protective effect higher than 90-99% at 10 mg/l with respect to hydrogen sulfide corrosion, inhibiting properties against carbon dioxide corrosion (84-98% at 10-25 mg/l), and bactericidal action on sulfate-reducing bacteria (10-50 mg/l). © 2011 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd
Pion interferometry in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[sNN]=200GeV
We present a systematic analysis of two-pion interferometry in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[sNN]=200GeV using the STAR detector at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. We extract the Hanbury-Brown and Twiss radii and study their multiplicity, transverse momentum, and azimuthal angle dependence. The Gaussianness of the correlation function is studied. Estimates of the geometrical and dynamical structure of the freeze-out source are extracted by fits with blast-wave parametrizations. The expansion of the source and its relation with the initial energy density distribution is studied
Particle-type dependence of azimuthal anisotropy and nuclear modification of particle production in Au+Au collisions at s(NN)**(1/2) = 200-GeV
We present STAR measurements of the azimuthal anisotropy parameter and
the binary-collision scaled centrality ratio for kaons and lambdas
() at mid-rapidity in Au+Au collisions at
GeV. In combination, the and
particle-type dependencies contradict expectations from partonic energy loss
followed by standard fragmentation in vacuum. We establish
GeV/c as the value where the centrality dependent baryon enhancement ends. The
and values are consistent with
expectations of constituent-quark-number scaling from models of hadron
fromation by parton coalescence or recombination.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, 1 table. As published in PRL on Feb. 2, 2004;

Pion interferometry in Au+Au collisions at = 200 GeV
We present a systematic analysis of two-pion interferometry in Au+Au
collisions at = 200 GeV using the STAR detector at RHIC. We
extract the HBT radii and study their multiplicity, transverse momentum, and
azimuthal angle dependence. The Gaussianess of the correlation function is
studied. Estimates of the geometrical and dynamical structure of the freeze-out
source are extracted by fits with blast wave parameterizations. The expansion
of the source and its relation with the initial energy density distribution is

Observation of charge-dependent azimuthal correlations and possible local strong parity violation in heavy ion collisions
Parity-odd domains, corresponding to non-trivial topological solutions of the
QCD vacuum, might be created during relativistic heavy-ion collisions. These
domains are predicted to lead to charge separation of quarks along the orbital
momentum of the system created in non-central collisions. To study this effect,
we investigate a three particle mixed harmonics azimuthal correlator which is a
\P-even observable, but directly sensitive to the charge separation effect. We
report measurements of this observable using the STAR detector in Au+Au and
Cu+Cu collisions at =200 and 62~GeV. The results are presented
as a function of collision centrality, particle separation in rapidity, and
particle transverse momentum. A signal consistent with several of the
theoretical expectations is detected in all four data sets. We compare our
results to the predictions of existing event generators, and discuss in detail
possible contributions from other effects that are not related to parity
violation.Comment: 17 pages, 14 figures, as accepted for publication in Physical Review

Identified baryon and meson distributions at large transverse momenta from Au+Au collisions at GeV
Transverse momentum spectra of , and up to 12 GeV/c
at mid-rapidity in centrality selected Au+Au collisions at GeV are presented. In central Au+Au collisions, both and
show significant suppression with respect to binary scaling at
4 GeV/c. Protons and anti-protons are less suppressed than
, in the range 1.5 6 GeV/c. The and
ratios show at most a weak dependence and no significant
centrality dependence. The ratios in central Au+Au collisions approach
the values in p+p and d+Au collisions at 5 GeV/c. The results at high
indicate that the partonic sources of , and have
similar energy loss when traversing the nuclear medium.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
