    Fertility dynamics in Russia: assessment and forecast

    Get PDF
    Fertility rate is one of the key statistical indicators that needs to be tracked, analyzed in order to assess the current situation in the country and identify relevant trends as objectively as possible. The article analyzes the birth rate in Russia in recent years in the context of a 6-year period and identifies a trend in changing indicators of this phenomenon for subsequent years. In the course of the study, the author uses various statistical methods, such as horizontal analysis, the method of analytical alignment of the dynamic’s series and trend analysis, which allows an objective assessment of the current changes. The article emphasizes the importance of the analysis of the birth rate for the study of various demographic processes in the country, and also provides an overview of the development of this indicator in Russia

    Determination of the monetisation coefficient dynamics of the Russian economy and its impact on macroeconomic indicators

    The monetisation coefficient is the most important indicator of the saturation level of the economy with money. This article examines the dynamics of the monetisation coefficient of the Russian economy in 2017–2021, provides a forecast for the level of monetisation for 2022, and an assessment of its impact on key macroeconomic indicators: unemployment, inflation and economic growth. Based on the correlation analysis, the existence of a strong relationship between the monetisation coefficient and the unemployment rate in Russia has been determined, while an increase in unemployment in the country contributes to a decrease in the gross domestic product, which, in turn, is an important component in calculating the monetisation level. A direct linear relationship between the monetisation level and gross domestic product has been revealed. The existence of a direct relationship between the level of inflation and the monetisation of the Russian economy has been determined. The conclusion is made about the need to increase the monetisation level of the Russian economy

    Double-Pionic Fusion of Nuclear Systems and the ABCEffect -- Aproaching a Puzzle by Exclusive and Kinematically Complete Measurements

    The ABC effect - a puzzling low-mass enhancement in the ππ\pi\pi invariant mass spectrum - is well-known from inclusive measurements of two-pion production in nuclear fusion reactions. Here we report on first exclusive and kinematically complete measurements of the most basic double pionic fusion reaction pndπ0π0pn \to d \pi^0\pi^0 at 1.03 and 1.35 GeV. The measurements, which have been carried out at CELSIUS-WASA, reveal the ABC effect to be a (ππ)I=L=0(\pi\pi)_{I=L=0} channel phenomenon associated with both a resonance-like energy dependence in the integral cross section and the formation of a ΔΔ\Delta\Delta system in the intermediate state. A corresponding simple s-channel resonance ansatz provides a surprisingly good description of the data

    Measurement of the Slope Parameter for the eta->3pi0 Decay in the pp->pp eta Reaction

    Get PDF
    The CELSIUS/WASA setup is used to measure the 3pi0 decay of eta mesons produced in pp interactions with beam kinetic energies of 1.36 and 1.45 GeV. The efficiency-corrected Dalitz plot and density distributions for this decay are shown, together with a fit of the quadratic slope parameter alpha yielding alpha = -0.026 +/- 0.010(stat) +/- 0.010(syst). This value is compared to recent experimental results and theoretical predictions.Comment: 4 pages, 7 Postscript figures, uses revtex4.st

    Search for eta-mesic 4He in the dd->3He n pi0 and dd->3He p pi- reactions with the WASA-at-COSY facility

    Full text link
    The search for 4He-eta bound states was performed with the WASA-at-COSY facility via the measurement of the excitation function for the dd->3He n pi0 and dd->3He p pi- processes. The beam momentum was varied continuously between 2.127 GeV/c and 2.422 GeV/c, corresponding to the excess energy for the dd->4He eta reaction ranging from Q=-70 MeV to Q=30 MeV. The luminosity was determined based on the dd->3He n reaction and quasi-free proton-proton scattering via dd->pp n_spectator n_spectator reactions. The excitation functions determined independently for the measured reactions do not reveal a structure which could be interpreted as a narrow mesic nucleus. Therefore, the upper limits of the total cross sections for the bound state production and decay in dd->(4He-eta)_bound->3He n pi0 and dd->(4He-eta)_bound->3He p pi- processes were determined taking into account the isospin relation between both the channels considered. The results of the analysis depend on the assumptions of the N* momentum distribution in the anticipated mesic-4He. Assuming as in the previous works, that this is identical with the distribution of nucleons bound with 20 MeV in 4He, we determined that (for the mesic bound state width in the range from 5 MeV to 50 MeV) the upper limits at 90% confidence level are about 3 nb and about 6 nb for npi0 and ppi- channels, respectively. However, based on the recent theoretical findings of the N*(1535) momentum distribution in the N*-3He nucleus bound by 3.6 MeV, we find that the WASA-at-COSY detector acceptance decreases and hence the corresponding upper limits are 5 nb and 10 nb for npi0 and ppi- channels respectively.Comment: This article will be submitted to JHE

    Production of eta and 3pi mesons in the pd->3HeX reaction at 1360 and 1450 MeV

    Get PDF
    The cross sections of the pd -> 3He eta, pd -> 3He pi0 pi0 pi0 and pd -> 3He pi+ pi- pi0 reactions have been measured at beam kinetic energies T_p= 1360 MeV and T_p= 1450 MeV using the CELSIUS/WASA detector setup. At both energies, the differential cross section dsigma/dOmega of the eta meson in the pd -> 3He eta reaction shows a strong forward-backward asymmetry in the CMS. The ratio between the pd -> 3He pi+ pi- pi0 and the pd -> 3He pi0 pi0 pi0 cross sections has been analysed in terms of isospin amplitudes. The reconstructed invariant mass distributions of the pi-pi, 3He-pi and 3He-2pi systems provide hints on the role of nucleon resonances in the 3pi production process.Comment: Shorter version accepted to EPJA 10 pages 14 figure

    Polarisation of the omega meson in the pd-->3He+omega reaction at 1360 and 1450 MeV

    Get PDF
    The tensor polarisation of omega mesons produced in the pd-->3He+omega reaction has been studied at two energies near threshold. The 3He nuclei were detected in coincidence with the pi0pi+pi- or pi0gamma decay products of the omega. In contrast to the case of phi meson production, the omega mesons are found to be unpolarised. This brings into question the applicability of the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka rule when comparing the production of vector mesons in low energy hadronic reactions.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figure
