The dry season often causing hundreds of hectares of rice fields suffer from drought, coupled with reduced discharge of irrigation water sources. This problem can be experienced by the farmers in various areas, including in the District of South Payakumbuh. As an alternative to solving the problem if there is such a thing is to build a small dam that is used to store water for the rainy season and used for the dry season. This paper will discuss about availability of water, irrigation water requirements, analyze capacity small dam, operating time opening the sluicegate, rice area which can be irrigated and calculate the dimensions of the spillway. From the calculation of available water discharge approximately 159.33 l / dt, maximum irrigation water requirement of 1.204 l/sec/ha, the maximum reservoir for irrigation around 12577.177 m3. Rice area which can be irrigated calculated every hour on each opening the sluicegate as high as 0.1 m, 0.15 m, 0.20 m, 0.25 m, and 0.30 m for 10 hours and a maximum rice area which can be irrigated successively measuring 195.424 ha, 284.876 ha, 368.494 ha, 445.991 ha and 517.042 ha in the first hour. Furthermore, at the tenth hour rice area which can be irrigated successively an area of 182.966 ha, 237.896 ha, 268.727 ha, 276.084 ha and 261.411 ha. Spillway using Ogee type summit with a summit height of 7.94 m and 1 m high surveillance

An algorithmic approach to the existence of ideal objects in commutative algebra

The existence of ideal objects, such as maximal ideals in nonzero rings, plays a crucial role in commutative algebra. These are typically justified using Zorn's lemma, and thus pose a challenge from a computational point of view. Giving a constructive meaning to ideal objects is a problem which dates back to Hilbert's program, and today is still a central theme in the area of dynamical algebra, which focuses on the elimination of ideal objects via syntactic methods. In this paper, we take an alternative approach based on Kreisel's no counterexample interpretation and sequential algorithms. We first give a computational interpretation to an abstract maximality principle in the countable setting via an intuitive, state based algorithm. We then carry out a concrete case study, in which we give an algorithmic account of the result that in any commutative ring, the intersection of all prime ideals is contained in its nilradical

Analisis Laju Perubahan Garis Pantai Pulau Karimun Besar Menggunakan DSAS (Digital Shoreline Analysis System)

Shoreline changes could occurred because of hydrodinamically nature in coastal zone. The purpose of this study is to identify and approximating rate of shoreline changes which occurred in Karimun Besar Island. This study used to analyzed shoreline changesbased on remote sensing (satellite) data that processed by GIS (Geographic Information System). Then, to analyze the rate of its shoreline changes using DSAS (Digital ShorelineAnalysis System) with LRR (Linear Regression Rate) statistic method. The result found that shoreline has changes through 25 years (1991-2016) that abrasions are 1,63m/y and accretions are 3,78m/y

Analisis Berth Occupancy Ratio (BOR) untuk Memenuhi Standar Ultilitas Dirjen Perhubungan Laut pada Dermaga B Curah Cair Pelabuhan Dumai

Berth B (The pour liquid berth) is one of the berth which has a higher activity in Dumai Harbour. Berth B handling cargo activities dominated by CPO with the amount up to 5 million tons each year and come increasing every year. The increasing amount of CPO, need a project to know the value of visiting ships and the value of BOR in short term. Project value is required to evaluate performance of the port so in the future the berth still being capable to manage activities of cargo handling. Based on results of analysis, the value of BOR in short time projection until 2021 is 82.90%. To fulfill The Standard Of Managing Director Of Marine in 2011, the value of BOR was 70% it could be did by adding the lenghth of berth and increase discharge of the pump. The short time projection in 2021 the Berth should be lengthnened formerly 800 meters become 961 meters. Another solution that could be done without adding the length of berth is increased the discharge of pump. The capacity of pump formerly 200 tons/hour, by increased the discharge into 250 ton/hour the value of a BOR become 62.18

    A momentum-space representation of Green's functions with modified dispersion on ultra-static space-time

We consider the Green's functions associated to a scalar field propagating on a curved, ultra-static background, in the presence of modified dispersion relations. The usual proper-time deWitt-Schwinger procedure to obtain a series representation of the Green's functions is doomed to failure, because of higher order spatial derivatives in the Klein-Gordon operator. We show how to overcome this difficulty by considering a preferred frame, associated to a unit time-like vector. With respect to this frame, we can express the Green's functions as an integral over all frequencies of a space-dependent function. The latter can be expanded in momentum space, as a series with geometric coefficients similar to the deWitt-Schwinger's ones. By integrating over all frequencies, we finally find the expansion of the Green's function up to four derivatives of the metric tensor. The relation with the proper-time formalism is also discussed.Comment: revtex, version accepted for publication in Phys. Rev.

Supersymmetry and Fredholm modules over quantized spaces

The purpose of this paper is to apply the framework of non- commutative differential geometry to quantum deformations of a class of Kahler manifolds. For the examples of the Cartan domains of type I and flat space, we construct Fredholm modules over the quantized manifolds using the supercharges which arise in the quantization of supersymmetric generalizations of the manifolds. We compute the explicit formula for the Chern character on generators of the Toeplitz C^* -algebra.Comment: 24

Brane World in a Topological Black Hole Bulk

    Get PDF
We consider a static brane in the background of a topological black hole, in arbitrary dimensions. For hyperbolic horizons, we find a solution only when the black hole mass assumes its minimum negative value. In this case, the tension of the brane vanishes, and the brane position coincides with the location of the horizon. For an elliptic horizon, we show that the massless mode of Randall-Sundrum is recovered in the limit of large black hole mass.Comment: Latex, 8 pages, v2: Additional references, to appear in MPL

We review some aspects of quantum gravity in the context of cosmology. In particular, we focus on models with a phenomenology accessible to current and near-future observations, as the early Universe might be our only chance to peep through the quantum gravity realm.Comment: 15 pages, 1 figure.
