On the preservation of unitarity during black hole evolution and information extraction from its interior
For more than 30 years the discovery that black holes radiate like black
bodies of specific temperature has triggered a multitude of puzzling questions
concerning their nature and the fate of information that goes down the black
hole during its lifetime. The most tricky issue in what is known as information
loss paradox is the apparent violation of unitarity during the
formation/evaporation process of black holes. A new idea is proposed based on
the combination of our knowledge on Hawking radiation as well as the
Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen phenomenon, that could resolve the paradox and spare
physicists from the unpalatable idea that unitarity can ultimately be violated

Strict Compliance with Marine Insurance Contracts: Conflicting Rules in the Ninth Circuit
Under the federal admiralty strict compliance rule, a policy of marine insurance is voided by an insured vessel owner\u27s failure to comply with express policy terms or warranties. Although recognized and applied by a majority of the federal circuits, the strict compliance rule has been improperly ignored by a handful of district courts within the Ninth Circuit. Instead, by misapplying the holding of Wilburn Boat v. Fireman\u27s Fund Insurance Co., a 1955 Supreme Court case, and by ignoring the Ninth Circuit\u27s interpretation of Wilburn Boat in Bohemia, Inc. v. Home Insurance Co., these district courts have turned to state insurance law, requiring a causal or other relationship between a breached policy warranty and the loss before voiding coverage. This Comment describes these current inconsistencies among marine insurance cases in the Ninth Circuit and the importance of maintaining uniformity in admiralty law and in uniformly applying the well-established strict compliance rule
A proposed framework of an interactive semi-virtual environment for enhanced education of children with autism spectrum disorders
Education of people with special needs has recently been considered as a key element in the field of medical education. Recent development in the area of information and communication technologies may enable development of collaborative interactive environments which facilitate early stage education and provide specialists with robust tools indicating the person's autism spectrum disorder level. Towards the goal of establishing an enhanced learning environment for children with autism this paper attempts to provide a framework of a semi-controlled real-world environment used for the daily education of an autistic person according to the scenarios selected by the specialists. The proposed framework employs both real-world objects and virtual environments equipped with humanoids able to provide emotional feedback and to demonstrate empathy. Potential examples and usage scenarios for such environments are also described
