There is a long report of the reunion of the Twenty-Fifty Michigan Infantry in the Holland City News, p. 4. It includes the list of visitors such as Governor J.J. Bagley and Senator Ferry, who both attended the event. At the program in the Public Square [now Centennial Park?], Mayor Van Landegend introduced Rev. Albertus C. Van Raalte, who delivered a short address of greeting. The writer went on to say that, His remarks were eminently appropriate to the occasion and were received with enthusiasm. He pictured the parting of the members of the regiment, that left our city in 1862, with the prayers and God speeds\u27 of mothers, sisters, and wives; and after fervently thanking God for the results of the war, he earnestly hoped that the angel of Peace might swell with us in the future. System Identification and Uncertainty Quantification Using Orthogonal Excitations and the Semi-span Super Sonic Transport (S4T) Model

Orthogonal harmonic multisine excitations were utilized in a wind tunnel test and in simulation of the SemiSpan Supersonic Transport model to assess aeroservoelastic characteristics. Fundamental issues associated with analyzing sinusoidal signals were examined, including spectral leakage, excitation truncation, and uncertainties on frequency response functions and mean-square coherence. Simulation allowed for evaluation of these issues relative to a truth model, while wind tunnel data introduced real-world implementation issues

The city will commit $16,000 to the railroad project; bonds will be issued; by a vote of 105 to 0 in the first ward and 129 to 1 in the second ward, a large majority favored this action. A series of three articles which appeared in the Holland City News, by Gerrit Van Schelven, entitled, Historical Sketch of Holland City and Colony. These are valuable articles because Van Schelven was very interested in the history of the Holland colony. He later published much in his paper, De Grondwet, on the Holland colony. He also organized the 25th anniversary celebration in 1872.
