Bethe eigenvectors of higher transfer matrices
We consider the XXX-type and Gaudin quantum integrable models associated with
the Lie algebra . The models are defined on a tensor product irreducible
-modules. For each model, there exist one-parameter families of
commuting operators on the tensor product, called the transfer matrices. We
show that the Bethe vectors for these models, given by the algebraic nested
Bethe ansatz are eigenvectors of higher transfer matrices and compute the
corresponding eigenvalues.Comment: 48 pages, amstex.tex (ver 2.2), misprints correcte
Evidence of electro-active excitation of the spin cycloid in TbMnO3
Terahertz electromagnetic excitations in the multiferroic TbMnO3 at the
field-induced magnetic transition are investigated for different orientations
of the magnetic cycloid. In addition to the electromagnon along the a-axis, the
detailed polarization analysis of the experimental spectra suggests the
existence of an electro-active excitation for ac electric fields along the
crystallographic c-axis. This excitation is possibly the electro-active
eigenmode of the spin cycloid in TbMnO3, which has been predicted within the
inverse Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya mechanism of magnetoelectric coupling.Comment: 5 page
Spaces of quasi-exponentials and representations of gl_N
We consider the action of the Bethe algebra B_K on (\otimes_{s=1}^k
L_{\lambda^{(s)}})_\lambda, the weight subspace of weight of the
tensor product of k polynomial irreducible gl_N-modules with highest weights
\lambda^{(1)},...,\lambda^{(k)}, respectively. The Bethe algebra depends on N
complex numbers K=(K_1,...,K_N). Under the assumption that K_1,...,K_N are
distinct, we prove that the image of B_K in the endomorphisms of
(\otimes_{s=1}^k L_{\lambda^{(s)}})_\lambda is isomorphic to the algebra of
functions on the intersection of k suitable Schubert cycles in the Grassmannian
of N-dimensional spaces of quasi-exponentials with exponents K. We also prove
that the B_K-module (\otimes_{s=1}^k L_{\lambda^{(s)}})_\lambda is isomorphic
to the coregular representation of that algebra of functions. We present a
Bethe ansatz construction identifying the eigenvectors of the Bethe algebra
with points of that intersection of Schubert cycles.Comment: Latex, 29 page
High-field AFMR in single-crystalline La_{0.95}Sr_{0.05}MnO_3: Experimental evidence for the existence of a canted magnetic structure
High-field antiferromagnetic-resonance (AFMR) spectra were obtained in the
frequency range 60 GHz < \nu < 700 GHz and for magnetic fields up to 8 T in
twin-free single crystals of La_{0.95}Sr_{0.05}MnO_3. At low temperatures two
antiferromagnetic modes were detected, which reveal different excitation
conditions and magnetic field dependencies. No splitting of these modes was
observed for any orientation of the static magnetic field excluding the
phase-separation scenario for this composition. Instead, the full data set
including the anisotropic magnetization can be well described using a
two-sublattice model of a canted antiferromagnetic structure.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
An Analysis of the Chemical Composition of the Atmosphere of Venus on an AMS of the Venera-12 Using a Gas Chromatograph
Eight analyses of the atmosphere of Venus were made beginning at an altitude of 42 km right down to the surface of the planet. The following were detected in the atmosphere of Venus: nitrogen in concentrations of 2.5 plus or minus 0.5 volumetric %, argon ir concentrations (4 plus or minus 2) x 10 to the minus 3 power volumetric %, CO--(2.8 plus or minus 1.4) x 10 to the minus 3 power volumetric % and SO2 in concentrations (1.3 plus or minus 0.6) x 10 to the minus 2 power volumetric %. The upper limits were estimated for the content of oxygen and water equal to 2 x 10 to the minus 3 power and 10 to the minus 2 power volumetric %, respectively
Chemical analysis of aerosol in the Venusian cloud layer by reaction gas chromatography on board the Vega landers
The experiment on sulfuric acid aerosol determination in the Venusian cloud layer on board the Vega landers is described. An average content of sulfuric acid of approximately 1 mg/cu m was found for the samples taken from the atmosphere at heights from 63 to 48 km and analyzed with the SIGMA-3 chromatograph. Sulfur dioxide (SO2) was revealed in the gaseous sample at the height of 48 km. From the experimental results and blank run measurements, a suggestion is made that the Venusian cloud layer aerosol consists of more complicated particles than the sulfuric acid water solution does
Terahertz spectroscopy of electromagnons in Eu_{1-x}Y_xMnO_3
Dielectric permittivity spectra of yttrium-doped EuMnO in the composition
range 0 =< x =< 0.5 have been investigated in the terahertz frequency range.
Magnetoelectric contributions to the permittivity were observed in all
compositions for ac electric fields parallel to the crystallographic a-axis.
Well defined electromagnons exist for x >= 0.2 close to \nu ~ 20 cm^{-1} and
with dielectric strength strongly increasing on doping. In addition to
electromagnons, a broad contribution of magnetoelectric origin is observed for
all compositions. For Eu_{0.8}Y_{0.2}MnO_3 the electromagnons can be suppressed
by external magnetic fields which induce a canted antiferromagnetic phase.
Magnetoelectric effects in the different doping regimes are discussed in
detail.Comment: 7 pages, 9 figures include
Nested Bethe ansatz for Y(gl(n)) open spin chains with diagonal boundary conditions
In this proceeding we present the nested Bethe ansatz for open spin chains of
XXX-type, with arbitrary representations (i.e. `spins') on each site of the
chain and diagonal boundary matrices . The nested Bethe anstaz
applies for a general , but a particular form of the matrix.
We give the eigenvalues, Bethe equations and the form of the Bethe vectors for
the corresponding models. The Bethe vectors are expressed using a trace
formula.Comment: 15 pages, proceeding for Dubna International SQS 09 Worksho
Carbon and Oxygen Gas Exchange in Woody Debris: The Process and Climate-Related Drivers
The carbon-to-oxygen relationship and gas exchange balance, organic carbon to CO2 conversion intensity and efficiency, and their relevance to climate parameters and wood decay fungi were investigated for birch woody debris (WD) in the Mid-Urals mixed pine and birch forests. It was shown that, within the range of temperatures from 10 to 40◦ C and relative moisture (RM) of wood of 40% and 70%, aerobic gas exchange was observed in the WD, encompassing the physiologically entwined processes of CO2 emission and O2 uptake. Their volumetric ratio (0.9) confirmed that (1) the WD represents a globally significant CO2 source and appropriate O2 consumer and (2) the oxidative conversion of organic carbon is highly efficient in the WD, with an average ratio of CO2 released to O2 consumed equal to 90%. The balance of carbon-to-oxygen gas exchange and oxidizing conversion efficiency in the WD were not affected by either fungal species tested or by moisture or temperature. However, the intensity of gas exchange was unique for each wood decay fungi, and it could be treated as a climate-reliant parameter driven by temperature (Q10 = 2.0–2.1) and moisture (the latter induced a corresponding trend and value changes in CO2 emission and O2 uptake). Depending on the direction and degree of the change in temperature and moisture, their combined effect on the intensity of gas exchange led to its strengthening or weakening; otherwise, it was stabilized. Aerobic respiration of wood decay Basidiomycetes is an essential prerequisite and the major biotic factor in the WD gas exchange, while moisture and temperature are its climatic controllers only. © 2021 by the authors.
