    Abstarck : This research was aimed to increase learning proces and student achievement of science lesson V.C grade years of 2014 / 2015. Subject of this research is student IV.B grade of state elementary school 62 Pekanbaru which is total 30 students, consisted of 21 girls and 14 boys. This was a classroom research which has two cycles.the data shown either learning proces icreased. The basic score of daily examination as 12,04% which 25 students passed and 10 students failed. The ending of daily examination was as 71,43%. The second daily examination alsos increased from basic score as 21,44% which 32 students passed and 3 students failed. The ending of second daily examination was 94,43%. Based on the expalanation above it can be concluded that the imlpementation learning cooperatif type think pair share (TPS) increased students' achievement in science lesson of students IV.B grade of state elementary school 62 Pekanbaru

    This study was motivated by the low skills of students in meronce, the average value of 69.9 and was lower than the minimum completeness criteria specified namely 70. The number of students 28 people, students who completed only 12 students with a percentage of 42.9 %, while students who did not complete 16 students with a percentage of 57.1 %. In addition, the lack of creativity in learning meronce activity, because the teacher does not give an idea in advance of a variety of shapes roncean result, only a few people are able to meronce according to the instructions of teachers, because less active teachers guide students in meronce. The hypothesis in this study is a learning model when applied directly, it can increase the skill meronce Elementary School fifth grade students 72 Pekanbaru. This study aims to improve the skills meronce Elementary School fifth grade students 72 Pekanbaru with direct application of learning models with a number of students 28 students. Form of research is classroom action research. The research instrument consisted of learning tools and data collection instruments such as teacher observation sheet activities, student activities, and skills meronce. The data presented in this study are: (1) The skills of students in meronce increase can be seen from the average score of the class is the base class average only 69.9 in the first cycle increases the average grade and cycle menjadi 74,1 II increased to 79.2. This is an increase of 4.2 units from the base score to the first cycle, whereas from the first cycle to the second cycle increased by 5.1 units; (2) Activities of teachers increased from an average of 61.7 % first cycle is increased to 88.3% in cycle II with an increase of 26.7%; and ( 3 ) Student activity during learning with direct instructional model also increased, on average, in the first cycle was 68.3% and the average of the second cycle is 86.7% increased by 18.3%. From the results of the study proved that the application of direct learning model can improve the skills meronce Elementary School fifth grade students 72 Pekanbaru

    Two cases of Pentalogy of Cantrell diagnosed antenatally at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra

    Pentalogy of Cantrell is a rare congenital malformation syndrome that may be associated with other congenital anomalies. The syndrome is said to affect males and females in equal numbers and the prognosis is generally poor. We report two cases of Cantrell’s Pentalogy diagnosed antenatally at the Korle Bu teaching Hospital. The 2 cases described in this report demonstrate the complete and incomplete variant of the syndrome. The cases were referred as an omphalocoele and a detailed anomaly scan confirmed the diagnosis of Pentalogy of Cantrell. Both cases were females and neither survived beyond 24 hours. Although this condition is associated with a poor prognosis, there have been some reported cases of survival in the literature. Thus, accurate prenatal diagnosis and a multidisciplinary approach to the management may offer improved outcomes.Keywords: Foetal Anomaly, Ventral wall defect, Obstetric ultrasound, Prenatal diagnosis, Thoraco-abdominalsyndrom

    Base of problem in this research is the value of the students still under KKM. It is unknown, because the teacher does not involve students in the learning process, the teacher does not use the media during the learning process to take place, many students who are less interested in the teaching-learning process because it is considered less interesting, and presence of dependent students to other students who are superior,It is necessary for the improvement of learning with immediate application of learning models. Direct instructional model is a learning process that is more centered on the teacher (teacher centered), the teacher becomes the main information source and giver. Although the direct instruction method is used in addition to lectures and equipped or supported with the use of the media, the emphasis remains on the admissions process knowledge (subject matter) rather than on the search process and the construction of knowledge, and tend to emphasize the delivery of information sourced from textbooks, reference or personal experience. The study is in the form of classroom action research (PTK). This study aims to improve the skills makrame Elementary School fifth grade students 145 Pekanbaru. After the adoption of direct learning model can be applied, the data obtained from quantitative data. With the formulation of the problem is "Does the application of the model pembelajara can directly improve the skills makrame fifth grade students of SDN 145 Pekanbaru?". The quantitative data in the form of tests students' knowledge and skills through repetition test cycle. Activity teachers each meeting there is an increase. At the first meeting of teachers activity percentage is 65%. The second meeting of teacher activity increased by 15% to 80%. The third meeting increased 5% to 85%. At the fourth meeting increased 5% to 90%. The average percentage of the activity of teachers in the first cycle was 72.5%. While the average percentage of the activity of the teacher on the second cycle increased by 15% to 90%. in the first cycle, the daily tests of skills I, which completed 24 students with an average (70.58%), and incomplete 7 students with an average (29.42%). Experienced an increase from a base score of 26.47%. In the daily tests are completed the second cycle 31 students with an average (91.17%), and incomplete 3 students with an average (8.83%) and an increase from the previous cycle of 20.59%, while the increase from the base score to the second cycle of 29.41%

    Information has now become an important comodity in human life, with the rapid development of communications technology has enable people to communicate and exchange information more easily. Internet is very popular and used by billions users worldwide, the information passing through the internet is very large, and some certain people trying to get this information for profit. The information need to be secured to prevent the others to get the information that send through the internet, steganography can be used to hide the information before sending it and the receiver can recover the hidden data. Digital steganography using computer can use a variety of digital file, digital image file is one of them. With the infomation being hidden inside the image-carrier, the others will not aware about the hidden information. Application created using C# programming leanguage and the steganoraphy method using Least Significant Bit Insertion (LSBI). Microsoft Visual Studio used as Integrated Development Environtment (IDE) to code and design the user interface. Software develpment model using Extreme Programming, and the testing using black box method. Application designed to hide text or image inside an image-carrier and the hidden text or image can be recovered. The result of this research are an application that can hide text or image into image-carrier, and the hidden text or image can be recovered. Based on the testing application can run as expected and fulfill all the requirements

    Open mirror symmetry for Pfaffian Calabi-Yau 3-folds

    We investigate the open mirror symmetry of certain non-complete intersection Calabi- Yau 3-folds, so called pfaffian Calabi-Yau. We perform the prediction of the number of disk invariants of several examples by using the direct integration method proposed recently and the open mirror symmetry. We treat several pfaffian Calabi-Yau 3-folds in P6\mathbb{P}^6 and branes with two discrete vacua. Some models have the two special points in its moduli space, around both of which we can consider different A-model mirror partners. We compute disc invariants for both cases.     Global Properties of Topological String Amplitudes and Orbifold Invariants

    We derive topological string amplitudes on local Calabi-Yau manifolds in terms of polynomials in finitely many generators of special functions. These objects are defined globally in the moduli space and lead to a description of mirror symmetry at any point in the moduli space. Holomorphic ambiguities of the anomaly equations are fixed by global information obtained from boundary conditions at few special divisors in the moduli space. As an illustration we compute higher genus orbifold Gromov-Witten invariants for C^3/Z_3 and C^3/Z_4.Comment: 34 pages, 3 figure
