Patrim?nio e turismo: o impacto do turismo (in)sustent?vel na paisagem de cidades patrim?nio hist?rico e cultural: o caso do distrito de Milho Verde, Serro-MG

Linha de pesquisa: Pol?tica, Cultura e Sociedade.O presente estudo buscou refletir sobre a preserva??o do patrim?nio e paisagem cultural frente ao advento do turismo e o desenvolvimento social e urbano no distrito de Milho Verde, munic?pio do Serro, Minas Gerais. Atrav?s da realiza??o de estudo de campo e levantamento de trabalhos de outros autores sobre o local, p?de-se observar que houve um crescimento e adensamento da malha urbana na ?ltima d?cada. Tal fen?meno pode ser visualizado atrav?s de desmembramento dos lotes e da verticaliza??o das edifica??es do n?cleo urbano, assim como a ocupa??o das ?reas mais perif?ricas do distrito, causando preocupa??o no que tange a preserva??o do patrim?nio natural da regi?o. O estudo aprofundado com os nativos, advent?cios e visitantes de Milho Verde possibilitou entendermos os processos que est?o ocorrendo no local. O estudo observou que as mudan?as ocorridas nos costumes e no tra?ado urbano n?o se devem apenas ao turismo pois a evolu??o da cultura ? sempre din?mica e possui in?meras outras influ?ncias al?m do turismo. Buscou-se apontar as tend?ncias de crescimento da cidade, os impactos gerados pelo desenvolvimento urbano e social no distrito durante a ?ltima d?cada, bem como, tamb?m, identificou as car?ncias da comunidade residente. Sendo assim, estudar a rela??o entre o desenvolvento urbano, social, o turismo e o patrim?nio de forma interdisciplinar pode contribuir com a possibilidade de um desenvolvimento sustent?vel, ampliando a economia local de forma a valorizar as escolhas da comunidade e buscar conservar o patrim?nio cultural regional. Espera-se que o presente trabalho contribua para a desenvolvimento de pol?ticas p?blicas que possam valorizar a identidade e o patrim?nio da localidade e que, tamb?m, possam ser mitigados os impactos sociais e ambientais que vem ocorrendo no local, propondo uma solu??o que sensibilize a popula??o de Milho Verde e governantes sobre a sua cultura e patrim?nio (material e imaterial) sem desprezar o desenvolvimento econ?mico e social, fazendo com que o distrito se desenvolva de maneira sustent?vel.Disserta??o (Mestrado Profissional) ? Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Ci?ncias Humanas, Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, 2018.The purpose of this article is to bring light to the heritage preservation and cultural landscape when subjected to the tourism and the urban and social development in the district of Milho Verde, city of Serro, Minas Gerais. Through a field research and the analysis of other authors? researches on the same area, it was possible to observe the growth and increase in the urban design density in the last decade. Such occurrence may be observed as subdivisions of tracts of land, verticalization of buildings and the occupation of the district?s periphery, raising concerns regarding the region?s natural heritage preservation. A thorough study with native residents, foreigners and visitors of Milho Verde allowed for the understanding of the current local processes. The study showed that the changes in habits and urban design are not only a consequence of the tourism because the cultural evolution is always dynamic and possesses uncountable other influences. The last decade?s city growth trends and the impact created by the urban and social development are pointed out, while the local community necessities are identified. Therefore, the interdisciplinary study of the relationship between the urban and social developments, tourism and heritage could contribute with the possibility of a sustainable development, improving the local economy in such a way as to prioritize the local community choices and to preserve the regional cultural heritage. This study is expected to contribute to the public policy development which could valorize the locality identity and heritage. It is also expected to contribute to mitigation of current social and environmental impacts by sensitizing the people and government of Milho Verde regarding their cultural and heritage (material and non-material) without disregarding the social and economic development, allowing the district to have a sustainable development
