    Vidéki szegregátumokban élők pszichoaktív szerhasználata és a segítés lehetősége

    Az új pszichoaktív szerek (ÚPSZ) terjedése az országban a vidéki szegregátumokban élők szerhasználatára is ráirányította a figyelmet, és a nemzetközi tapasztalatok is azt mutatták, hogy a mélyszegénységben élő marginalizált társadalmi csoportok kitettsége ezeknek a szereknek jóval magasabb. Az itt bemutatott kutatásunk célja az volt, hogy feltérképezzük a vidéki kistelepülések szegregátumaiban élők legális és illegális szerhasználati szokásait és kapcsolataikat az ellátórendszerhez. A kutatást egyszerű rétegzett véletlen mintavételi módszerrel kiválasztott 30 településen végeztük, a válaszadók kiválasztásához a privilegizált hozzáférés módszerét alkalmaztuk (n=401). A kérdőívek elemzése alapján az alkohol, cigaretta és ÚPSZ-fogyasztás inkább férfiakra jellemző, míg az altatók, nyugtatók recept nélküli használói inkább nők. A teljes lakosságtól eltérően a szegregátumokban az ÚPSZ-ek nagyobb arányban vannak jelen, mint a hagyományos kábítószerek. Nagy arányban vannak, akiknek addiktológiai problémát okoznak az egyes szerek, 64%-nak több szerrel kapcsolatban is van problémája. A hozzáférés nem okoz problémát, nagyon könnyű recept nélkül gyógyszerhez, vagy ÚPSZ-hez jutni ezeken a településeken. Az ellátórendszerhez való hozzáférés viszont rossz, a szerhasználathoz kapcsolódó szolgáltatások gyakorlatilag nem érhetőek el, de a megkérdezettek 61%-a szociális munkással sem találkozott az elmúlt egy év során. A helyzet kezeléséhez a helyben elérhető szolgáltatások biztosítása elengedhetetlen, de átfogó szociálpolitikai eszközök nélkül nem lehet eredményt elérni ezen a téren

    Main-Belt Asteroids in the K2 Engineering Field of View

    Unlike NASA’s original Kepler Discovery Mission, the renewed K2 Mission will stare at the plane of the Ecliptic, observing each field for approximately 75 days. This will bring new opportunities and challenges, in particular the presence of a large number of main-belt asteroids that will contaminate the photometry. The large pixel size makes K2 data susceptible to the effect of apparent minor planet encounters. Here we investigate the effects of asteroid encounters on photometric precision using a sub-sample of the K2 Engineering data taken in February, 2014. We show examples of asteroid contamination to facilitate their recognition and distinguish these events from other error sources. We conclude that main-belt asteroids will have considerable effects on K2 photometry of a large number of photometric targets during the Mission, that will have to be taken into account. These results will be readily applicable for future space photometric missions applying large-format CCDs, such as TESS and PLATO

    Photometric and Spectroscopic Properties of Type Ia Supernova 2018oh with Early Excess Emission from the Kepler 2 Observations

    Supernova (SN) 2018oh (ASASSN-18bt) is the first spectroscopically- confirmed type Ia supernova (SN Ia) observed in the KeplerKepler field. The KeplerKepler data revealed an excess emission in its early light curve, allowing to place interesting constraints on its progenitor system (Dimitriadis et al. 2018, Shappee et al. 2018b). Here, we present extensive optical, ultraviolet, and near-infrared photometry, as well as dense sampling of optical spectra, for this object. SN 2018oh is relatively normal in its photometric evolution, with a rise time of 18.3pm\\pm0.3 days and Delta\\Deltam15(B)=0.96pm_{15}(B)=0.96\\pm0.03 mag, but it seems to have bluer BVB - V colors. We construct the "uvoir" bolometric light curve having peak luminosity as 1.49times\\times1043^{43}erg s1^{-1}, from which we derive a nickel mass as 0.55pm\\pm0.04Modot_{\\odot} by fitting radiation diffusion models powered by centrally located 56^{56}Ni. Note that the moment when nickel-powered luminosity starts to emerge is +3.85 days after the first light in the Kepler data, suggesting other origins of the early-time emission, e.g., mixing of 56^{56}Ni to outer layers of the ejecta or interaction between the ejecta and nearby circumstellar material or a non-degenerate companion star. The spectral evolution of SN 2018oh is similar to that of a normal SN Ia, but is characterized by prominent and persistent carbon absorption features. The C II features can be detected from the early phases to about 3 weeks after the maximum light, representing the latest detection of carbon ever recorded in a SN Ia. This indicates that a considerable amount of unburned carbon exists in the ejecta of SN 2018oh and may mix into deeper layers

    Activity of 50 Long-Period Comets Beyond 5.2 AU

    Remote investigations of the ancient solar system matter has been traditionally carried out through the observations of long-period (LP) comets that are less affected by solar irradiation than the short-period counterparts orbiting much closer to the Sun. Here we summarize the results of our decade-long survey of the distant activity of LP comets. We found that the most important separation in the dataset is based on the dynamical nature of the objects. Dynamically new comets are characterized by a higher level of activity on average: the most active new comets in our sample can be characterized by afrho values >3--4 higher than that of our most active returning comets. New comets develop more symmetric comae, suggesting a generally isotropic outflow. Contrary to this, the coma of recurrent comets can be less symmetrical, ocassionally exhibiting negative slope parameters, suggesting sudden variations in matter production. The morphological appearance of the observed comets is rather diverse. A surprisingly large fraction of the comets have long, teniouos tails, but the presence of impressive tails does not show a clear correlation with the brightness of the comets

    K2 Observations of SN 2018oh Reveal a Two-component Rising Light Curve for a Type Ia Supernova

    We present an exquisite 30 minute cadence Kepler (K2) light curve of the Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) 2018oh (ASASSN-18bt), starting weeks before explosion, covering the moment of explosion and the subsequent rise, and continuing past peak brightness. These data are supplemented by multi- color Panoramic Survey Telescope (Pan-STARRS1) and Rapid Response System 1 and Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory 4 m Dark Energy Camera (CTIO 4-m DECam) observations obtained within hours of explosion. The K2 light curve has an unusual two-component shape, where the flux rises with a steep linear gradient for the first few days, followed by a quadratic rise as seen for typical supernovae (SNe) Ia. This “flux excess” relative to canonical SN Ia behavior is confirmed in our i-band light curve, and furthermore, SN 2018oh is especially blue during the early epochs. The flux excess peaks 2.14 ± 0.04 days after explosion, has a FWHM of 3.12 ± 0.04 days, a blackbody temperature of T=17,{500}-9,000+11,500 K, a peak luminosity of 4.3+/- 0.2× {10}37 {erg} {{{s}}}-1, and a total integrated energy of 1.27+/- 0.01× {10}43 {erg}. We compare SN 2018oh to several models that may provide additional heating at early times, including collision with a companion and a shallow concentration of radioactive nickel. While all of these models generally reproduce the early K2 light curve shape, we slightly favor a companion interaction, at a distance of ∼2× {10}12 {cm} based on our early color measurements, although the exact distance depends on the uncertain viewing angle. Additional confirmation of a companion interaction in future modeling and observations of SN 2018oh would provide strong support for a single-degenerate progenitor system

    A needle in the haystack – the dire straits of needle exchange in Hungary

    Abstract Background The two largest needle exchange programs (NEPs) in Hungary were forced to close down in the second half of 2014 due to extreme political attacks and related lack of government funding. The closures occurred against a background of rapid expansion in Hungary of injectable new psychoactive substances, which are associated with very frequent injecting episodes and syringe sharing. The aim of our analysis was to predict how the overall Hungarian NEP syringe supply was affected by the closures. Methods We analyzed all registry data from all NEPs in Hungary for all years of standardized NEP data collection protocols currently in use (2008–2014) concerning 22 949 client enrollments, 9 211 new clients, 228 167 client contacts, 3 160 560 distributed syringes, and 2 077 676 collected syringes. Results We found that while the combined share of the two now closed NEPs decreased over time, even in their partial year 2014 they still distributed and collected about half of all syringes, and attended to over half of all clients and client contacts in Hungary. The number of distributed syringes per PWID (WHO minimum target = 100) was 81 in 2014 in Hungary, but 39 without the two now closed NEPs. Conclusions There is a high probability that the combination of decreased NEP coverage and the increased injection risk of new psychoactive substances may lead in Hungary to a public health disaster similar to the HIV outbreaks in Romania and Greece. This can be avoided only by an immediate change in the attitude of the Hungarian government towards harm reduction

    In this paper the authors summarize experience of a drug service provider with the injecting use of novel psychoactive substances. Among clients of the needle exchange programme of Blue Point Drug Counselling and Outpatient Centre, the authors observed the spread of the novel substances since 2009. The extensive spread of the novel substances caused substantial change in injecting use patterns, thus in the usage of the needle exchange programme. The novel psychoactive substances appeared consecutively, so that this setting gave a unique opportunity to observe and track the emergence of these substances. The authors summarize the characteristics which are important for medical practice (risks, frequent use, severe psychopathological conditions) as well as special risks associated with these substances (substances with unknown composition and effect). They highlight the importance and role of the early warning system, monitoring the online sources of information and testing of samples containing novel psychoactive substances. Orv.
