The House of Spirits – The Female Influence and the Chilean Military Dictatorship

The present work is the result of the reflections provided by the classes of the Postgraduate Program in Sociocultural Practices and Social Development, at the University of Cruz Alta - UNICRUZ (RS). Thus, the proposal of analyzing and explaining the literary work "The House of Spirits" by the Chilean writer Isabel Allende was brought forward. Book that became a bestseller in Brazil, after its release in April 1984. This work aims to examine the construction of Isabel Allende\u27s success in the 1980s, through the biographical and historical analysis of the representations of Chile, the Chilean military dictatorship and the reference to the female gender, elements that appear in her writings. The history of the work "The House of Spirits" portrays the life of the Trueba family, which over four generations was part of the social and political movements of Chile. The main figures of the plots are always women, especially the one who embodies the role of the writer, with the function of organizing and recreating the memory of the family in a text that allows establishing deep connections with other narratives of Latin American women

PANDEMIA DE COVID-19: REFLEXÕES ACERCA DO AUXÍLIO EMERGENCIAL E SEUS IMPACTOS SOCIAIS

O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar o impacto da pandemia do Covid-19 acerca do mercado de trabalho e com ênfase na política pública que estabeleceu o pagamento do auxílio emergencial em prol de pessoas em situação de vulnerabilidade econômica. Para tanto, a pesquisa se faz bibliográfica, referenciada em dados governamentais oficiais de mídias, corroborados com doutrinas que alargam a temática, a partir da pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, para elaboração das tratativas referentes ao tema, enfatizando a conceituação científica relativa ao momento pandêmico, ao vírus propagado, posteriormente a narrativa do mercado de trabalho e renda permissiva aos sujeitos acerca do auxílio emergencial

Families, generations and intergeracionality in net modernity

We are experiencing a period of accelerated socio-cultural, political and economic changes that are reflected in practically all social institutions, including the family. This is a secular social institution, which reflects the evolution of society. There is still resistance to “idealizing” the family as the “sphere of care and love”. However, it is known that the traditional family of the 19th century gave way to the nuclear family and that, at the same time, it gives way to families with different backgrounds. Also noteworthy are the transformations that occur in complex and liquid society, as highlighted by authors such as Morin and Bauman. In this sense, these transformations also occur in the social institutions that compose it, among them the family nuclei and other social spaces where different generations are inserted, especially with the increasing presence of elderly people. Therefore, with so many important social issues involved in these relationships (society-family-aging and intergenerationality), these reflections are considered to be extremely relevant

POR QUE NÃO TENHO MAIS MEDO DOS JUÍZES? UMA ANÁLISE DO POSICIONAMENTO DECISÓRIO DO STF FRENTE AO ESTADO DEMOCRÁTICO DE DIREITO

O presente artigo visa realizar um enfrentamento epistemológico acerca do respeito de alguns posicionamentos do Supremo Tribunal Federal no atual cenário político do país, estabelecido a partir da ideia de que os poderes do Estado possuem limites (constitucionais). Desta forma, a pluralidade e a democracia devem ser o alicerce que permeia a sustentação do um sistema pautado pelo consenso, não se admitindo a concentração arbitrária de poder, evidenciada a uma representação. A explanação se dá através da pesquisa de cunho bibliográfico, de natureza qualitativa e perfaz a conclusiva acerca do Estado Democrático de Direito suscitar a efetividade da democracia, pautado no direito de escolha, imbricado ao texto constitucional, respaldado na constituição dos poderes harmônicos e independentes para o bom funcionamento do ordenamento jurídico democrático no país
