    This article presents a reciprocal peer tutoring initiative carried out in a third-year secondary class in biology and geology lessons. Over the covers of a term, when the students took on the role of tutor, they become responsibles teaching their classmates, and when they took on the role of the person being tutored, they learnt from the help offered by their peers. The students involved were very satisfied with the methodological idea and achieved significantly better academic marks in this subjec
