In this paper, we briefly introduce the various types of sub-categorization in pour, which are to be distinguished from occurrences of pour as a discourse connective. We describe how we added arguments in pour within the syntactic lexicon Lefff, thus refining sub-categorization information for many verbal, nominal, adjectival and adverbial entries.

Genomic location of the bovine growth hormone secretagogue receptor (Ghsr) gene and investigation of genetic polymorphism

The growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR) is involved in the regulation of energetic homeostasis and GH secretion. In this study, the bovine GHSR gene was mapped to BTA1 between BL26 and BMS4004. Two different bovine GHSR CDS (GHSR1a and GHSR1b) were sequenced. Six polymorphisms (five SNPs and one 3-bp indel) were also identified, three of them leading to amino acid variations L24V, D194N, and Del R242. These variations are located in the extracellular N-terminal end, the exoloop 2, and the cytoloop 3 of the receptor, respectively

Surface-tension-driven instabilities of a pure liquid layer evaporating into an inert gas

    No full text
A theoretical model of the evaporation of a pure liquid layer is developed. We focus on the influence of an inert gaseous component, in addition to vapor, on surface-tension-driven Bénard instabilities. It is assumed that the gas phase is perfectly mixed at some distance from the liquid–gas interface (given composition, pressure, and temperature). If this distance is not much larger than the liquid layer thickness, it is shown that a reduction of the full two-layer problem to a one-layer problem is possible, provided the evaporation rate is not too large. An analytical expression is given for the corresponding dimensionless heat transfer coefficient (a generalized, wavenumber-dependent Biot number) at the evaporating interface. The approach is validated through a comparison with a direct numerical resolution of the full two-layer problem.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

Contribution to the theoretical and numerical study of grooved heat pipes: multilevel approach

    No full text
The aim of this work is to model the phenomena of transport of matter, momentum and energy within a heat pipe, starting from the equations of continuity, Navier-Stokes and heat transport. This multilevel study consists of a local approach and a global one. On the one hand, the local approach allows to establish the profiles along the heat pipe for the height of liquid, the mean velocity of the flow and the temperature. This local study also highlights the influence of the parameters of the heat pipe on its performances. On the other hand, the global approach leads to the closure of a system of equations for the averaged values (on a cross-section of liquid) of the velocity of the flow, the pressure and the temperature of the heat pipe.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

Hydrodynamic Stability of a thin volatile liquid film

    No full text
This paper deals with the nonlinear evolution of a thin liquid film in contact with a hot rigid plate. The liquid phase is separated from its own vapour by a deformable interface. Various mechanisms affect the stability of the film and govern its shape. Among them, we focus on the sur- face tension and its variation with temperature, the evaporation and the resulting vapour recoil pressure resulting from momentum conservation at the interface, the disjoining pressure resulting from molecular interactions with the sub- strate, the temperature discontinuity between vapour and liquid at the interface and the variation of the saturation temperature due to the disjoining pressure and the interfa- cial curvature. We show how the contact angle and the heat flux vary with some of these effects.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
