Intercultural Education – Tensions and Prospects Case Study – The Approach of the 1st-year Students from the Pedagogy of Primary and Pre-school Education
AbstractThe contemporary trend of the globalization does not cancel the cultural differences among the various human entities: states, nations, individuals. It currently constitutes the economic, financial, political frame, able to facilitate interactions and connections. Under these circumstances intercultural education represents a opportunity. Our study aims at identifying the way in which 1st-year students from the Pedagogy of Primary and Pre-School Education, from “Petrol-Gaze” University of Ploieşti and “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, understand this type of education and its place in the context of their training. Finally, we propose several themes and lines for approaching this education's objectives and principles
XML Technologies in Computer Assisted Learning and Testing Systems
The learning and assessment activities have undergone major changes due to
the development of modern technologies. The computer-assisted learning and
testing has proven a number of advantages in the development of modern
educational system. The paper suggests a solution for the computer-assisted
testing, which uses XML technologies, a solution that could make the basis for
developing a learning computer-assisted system.Comment: 6 pages, exposed on 5th International Conference "Actualities and

Cognitive ability experiment with photosensitive organic molecular thin films
We present an optical experiment which permits to evaluate the information
exchange necessary to self-induce cooperatively a well-organized pattern in a
randomly activated molecular assembly. A low-power coherent beam carrying
polarization and wavelength information is used to organize a surface relief
grating on a photochromic polymer thin film which is photo-activated by a
powerful incoherent beam. We demonstrate experimentally that less than 1% of
the molecules possessing information cooperatively transmit it to the entire
photo-activated polymer film.Comment: 16 pages, 4 figure
Performant DLC Films with Enhanced Wear Resistance
Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coatings represent an interesting research subject for various groups of
researchers having interests in surfaces tribology and corrosion. This paper discusses issues relating to the
friction and mechanical behaviour, for 4 types of DLC coating systems deposited on heat treatable steel
hardened and high-tempered (a multilayer of WC/C (a-C:H:W); CrC+a-C:H, a single layer of a-C:H, plasma
nitriding + Si doped DLC (PN+Si-a-C:H). These films were synthesized using a single or a combined
process consisting in either r. f. reactive magnetron sputtering or/followed by Plasma Assisted Chemical
Vapour Deposition (PACVD). The tribological properties (friction coefficient) were obtained and discussed
in correlation with the mechanical properties (the adherence, the nanoindentation hardness) and thickness

Seasonal variation in nutrient content of some leafy vegetables from Banat County, Romania
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of seasonal variation of the moisture content and trace metal
composition of spinach, butter lettuce and parsley leaves. The content of bioactive compounds in green leafy
vegetables at harvest has beneficial effects on human health. It was found that moisture, macro and
microelement content vary from one season to another. Water content measured by thermo-gravimetric
method is presenting small variation during the seasonal change, revealing the lowest value for spinach,
butter lettuce and parsley leaves, in June. Calcium, magnesium and potassium concentrations in leaves are
decreasing in spinach, lettuce and parsley from April to September, but the variations are small. Copper is
accumulating mostly in parsley leaves and less in lettuce and spinach. Knowing the concentration of
important nutrients in different seasons helps do decide the harvesting period in according to the richness of
the diet for each individual
Optimization of chemical fertilizers application at Alopecurus pratensis L., in Banatplain conditions
Application of the fertilizers contributes to the enlargement of the biomass quantity and thus any effort is justified for the fodder plants where is aimed to obtain fodder volume (COJOCARIU L. ET AL., 2010). The goal of this paper is to find a functional dependence of the dry matter production for the Alopecurus pratensis fodder based on different amounts of fertilizer, in order to obtain the technical optimum and also depending on the cultivation technology that is applied. As biological material we used the variety Alpha of meadow foxtail, seeded in autumn at 12,5 cm and 25 cm distances between rows, by scattering method. In the paper there are presented the results obtained in the species Alopecurus pratensis, cultivated at different distances between rows and fertilized with different doses of nitrogen. The largest yields of dry matter were recorded in all variants for the maximal dose of nitrogen (240 kg ha). However, the technical maximum of dry matter was recorded as following: 8219 kg ha-1 for an amount of 214,65 kg ha-1 nitrogen and for 12,5 cm distance between rows; 8091,8 kg ha-1 for an amount of 216,25 kg ha-1 nitrogen and for 25 cm distance between rows, and 8746 kg ha-1 for an amount of 208,29 kg ha-1 nitrogen and for sowing by scattering
