CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF SOME RARE PLANT SPECIES IN THE FLORA OF ROMANIA

    Get PDF
The autor is presenting here 43 rare plant species in the flora of Romania, discovered in various new localities. Most of them have been identyfied in Dobrudja, being included on different red lists (2, 5, 10). In order ot make a distinction among those 3 (three) red lists, concerning their degree of threatening, I have inserted the IUCN indices for every registred plant species here. One can remark a large difference between these red lists, which requires o good collaboration between botanists, to achieve a unitary red list for Romania

THE STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF LEARNING ORGANIZATION – A FRAMEWORK FOR HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

    Get PDF
Learning and intelligence are multi-dimensional concepts that cannot be determined with a single measure. Much as individuals learns in different ways (Kolb, 1974) too with organizations. To some extent, differences are a function of the diverse environments in which organizations must operate. Learning Organizations develop as a result of the pressures facing modern organizations and enables them to remain competitive in the business environment (McLean, 2006). Elaborated by Arie deGeus (1988) and Peter Senge (1990), the Learning Organization is a template for an organization that continually creates its future by adapting to environmental change.learning organization, human resource

HOW TO TRANSFORM SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SMES) INTO LEARNING ORGANIZATIONS

Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are the most dynamic and vital factor of progress in the contemporary society, main generator of economic performance and substance in any country, employment opportunity provider for most of population, major contributor to the national budget, and engine to improve the living standard of the population. SMEs represent 99% from all enterprises, drawing up the main human resource agglomeration. In Romania and other countries from The European Union, SMEs play an essential role in economic life, having special features that make adaptation process to the knowledge-based economy easier. In a knowledge-based economy context, SMEs should act as learning entities, by developing the most important resources they own: the human resources.learning organization, knowledge-based economy, small and medium enterprises, Romania

THE IMPORTANCE OF TECHNOLOGY USE WITHIN THE EDUCATIONAL COMMUNICATION PROCESS

Romanian economic environment, in terms of social and cultural boundaries suppression, was oriented towards the knowledge global trend, but in the absence of strategic options, it was unsystematic, especially manifested informaly and randomly: a local, disorganized phenomenum. The new communication process type of approach outlines a map of knowledge management in education and creates the necessary infrastructure to support teaching and learning within universities, while increasing the quality of academic training provides highly qualified graduates for the Romanian economic environment.technology, education communication,

A 2500-yr late holocenemulti-proxy record of vegetation and hydrologic changes from a cave guano-clay sequence in SW Romania

We provide sedimentological, geochemical, mineral magnetic, stable carbon isotope, charcoal, and pollen-based evidence froma guano/clay sequence in Gaura cuMuscă Cave (SWRomania), fromwhichwe deduced that from ~1230 BC to ~AD 1240 climate oscillated betweenwet and dry. From ~1230 BC to AD 1000 the climate was wetter than the present, prompting flooding of the cave, preventing bats fromroosting, and resulting in a slowrate of clay accumulation. The second half of the MedievalWarm Period (MWP) was generally drier; the cave experienced occasional flash flooding in between which maternity bat roosts established in the cave. One extremely wet event occurred around AD 1170, when Fe/Mn and Ti/Zr ratios show the highest values coincident with a substantial increase of sediment load in the underground stream. The mineral magnetic characteristics for the second part of the MWP indicate the partial input of surface-sourced sediments reflecting agricultural development and forest clearance in the area. Pollen and microcharcoal studies confirm that the overall vegetation cover and human land use have not changed much in this region since the medieval times

There are present and discussed the fact that the legitimate name is Cirsium heterophyllum (L.) Hill and the synonime name is Cirsium helenioides auct., non (L.) Hill.In the flora of Romania, as well as in Europe, is growing Cirsium heterophyllum (L.) Hill; Cirsium helenioides (L.) Hill is growing in Central Asia and in Siberie.Follow, it is showed that the taxa Juncus trifidus L. ssp. monanthos (Jacq.) Asch. & Graebn. is not growing in the flora of Romania. There is presented an infraspecific taxa, new for the science, namely: Juncus trifidus L. ssp. trifidus var. brevifolia Ciocârlan var. nova., discovered in the Mountains of Cozia (Vâlcea county). Also, in this paper is presented two rare plants in the flora of Romania: Dianthus kladovanus Degen and Thymus longicaulis C. Presl, species listed in the “Red Lists”, discovered by the author in new localities
