Purpose: To study small intestinal absorption of schisadrol A, schisandrol B, schizandrin A and schisandrin B in JingNing particles using in situ single-pass intestinal perfusion (SPIP).Methods: Absorption rate constant (Ka) and apparent permeability (Papp) of the drugs at different concentrations in various parts of rat small intestine (duodenum, jejunum and ileum) were determined using SPIP. JingNing particles were also perfused in situ at different pH in the entire rat intestine. Ethanol extract of Schisandra chinensis (standard) at low concentration was perfused in the duodenum for comparison with extract of JingNing particles. Results: The order of apparent permeability of the four lignans was schisandrol A < schisandrol B < schizandrin A < schisandrin B. Ka and Papp values of the four lignans in JingNing particles were concentration-dependent. Absorption increased in the rank order: ileum > duodenum > jejunum. Optimum absorption pH was 6.50. Polygala tenuifolia extract and volatile oil of Rhizoma acori tatarinowii significantly (p < 0.05) enhanced the absorption of the four lignans. Conclusion: The four lignans were well absorbed in the intestinal tract, particularly the ileum, probably through carrier-mediated transport. The alcohol extract of Polygala tenuifolia and volatile oil of Rhizoma acori graminei enhanced the absorption of the four lignans. Keywords: JingNing, Intestinal absorption, Polygala tenuifolia, Rhizoma acori graminei, Lignans, Schisandrol, Schisandrin, Single-pass intestinal perfusio

The Cultural Ecology Protection and Management of Urban Forests in China

Forests have economic, ecological, social and cultural functions. Forests Cultural ecology, the counterpart of forest ecology, is the integration of human spirit formed on the basis of natural forest and living systems. In recent years, China's urbanization rate has increased from 28% in 1993 to 45.68% in 2008, and ecological protection of urban forest has made great progress, but insufficient attention was paid to the forest cultural ecology protection and the relevant regulatory was not well performed. In order to strengthen the protection of forest cultural ecology and the management, the study showed that the social economic development of China has become mature and entered the consumption phase, besides, cultural ecology protection of forest will be the essence of urban forestry development in the future, so more and more attention will be paid to the protection of urban forest cultural ecology , especially with the enhancement of urbanization in China. The study suggests that protection of urban forest cultural ecology should be included into the forest legislation and management. The development planning of urban forest development should be strengthened to highlight the organic combination of material wealth production and spiritual wealth production, and finally promote protection of urban forest culture and the development of green culture

Residual dynamics and dietary exposure risk of dimethoate and its metabolite in greenhouse celery

This study aimed to explore the residual dynamics and dietary risk of dimethoate and its metabolite omethoate in celery. Celery was sprayed with 40% dimethoate emulsifiable concentrate (EC) at either a low concentration of 600 g a.i./ha or a high concentration of 900 g a.i./ha. Plants in the seedling, transplanting, or middle growth stages were sprayed once, and the samples were collected 90 days after transplantation. Plants in the harvesting stage were sprayed two or three times. The samples were collected on days 3, 5, 7, 10, 14 and 21 after the last pesticide application. The dimethoate and omethoate compounds were extracted from the celery samples using acetonitrile, and their concentrations were detected using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Also, the dietary risk assessments of dimethoate and omethoate were conducted in various populations and on different foods in China. The metabolism led to the formation of omethoate from dimethoate in the celery. The degradation dynamics of dimethoate and total residues in greenhouse celery followed the first-order kinetic equation. The half-lives of the compounds were 2.42 days and 2.92 days, respectively. The celery which received one application during the harvesting stage had a final residue of dimethoate after 14 days, which was lower than the maximum residue limit (MRL) 0.5 mg kg−1 for Chinese celery. The final deposition of the metabolite omethoate after 28 days was less than the maximum residue limit of 0.02 mg kg−1 for Chinese celery. Furthermore, the risk quotients of dimethoate in celery were less than 1; therefore, the level of chronic risk was acceptable after day 21. Only children aged 2–7 years had an HQ of dimethoate more than 1 (an unacceptable level of acute risk), while the acute dietary risks to other populations were within acceptable levels. It was recommended that any dimethoate applications to celery in greenhouses should happen before the celery reached the harvesting stage, with a safety interval of 28 days

Modified Porous SiO2-Supported Cu3(BTC)2 Membrane with High Performance of Gas Separation

The structures and applications of metal-organic framework materials (MOFs) have been attracting great interest due to the wide variety of possible applications, for example, chemical sensing, separation, and catalysis. N-[3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine is grafted on a porous SiO2 disk to obtain a modified porous SiO2 disk. A large-scale, continuous, and compact Cu3(BTC)2 membrane is prepared based on a modified porous SiO2 disk. The chemical structure, surface morphology, thermal stability, mechanical stability, and gas separation performance of the obtained Cu3(BTC)2 membrane is analyzed and characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and a gas separation experiment. The results show that the prepared Cu3(BTC)2 membrane has an intact morphology with its crystal. It is continuous, compact, and intact, and has good thermal stability and mechanical stability. The result of the gas separation experiment shows that the Cu3(BTC)2 membrane has a good selectivity of hydrogen and can be used to recover and purify hydrogen

Experimental Investigation on the Residual Stresses in a Thick Joint with a Partial Repair Weld Using Multiple-Cut Contour Method

The stress distributions in a thick welded specimen with a partial repair weld were measured with the three-cut contour method. The longitudinal stress maps in the original weld and the repair weld were obtained and the transverse stress map at the weld centerline in the original weld was acquired. The difference between the longitudinal stress in the partial repair weld and that in the original weld was investigated. Results show that the longitudinal stress increases significantly within the entire repair region with a peak tensile longitudinal stress close to the yield strength of weld material; and the longitudinal stress in the region above the repair weld decreases distinctly after repair; the introduction of the partial repair weld does not affect the stress distribution trend in the original weld (whether it is beyond or above the repair weld), and it has a slight effect on the tensile stress distribution width in the repair region
