    Get PDF
A household appliance (10), particularly a cooking appliance, more particularly a cooking hob, specifically an induction cooking hob, comprises a consumer load, which may be a heating system comprising at least one heating element (32), a mains connection unit (42) connected or connectable to a power supply system, in particular a power supply line, for supplying the household appliance (10) with electrical power, and an additional power source (38) for supplying the household appliance (10) with power in addition to the power supplied by the power supply system. Further, a method for operating such a household appliance (10) is disclosed. During an operating program electrical power supplied by a power supply system is consumed. In addition and simultaneously, electrical power supplied by an additional power source (38) is consumed as well. Fig.

White balancing of a camera in a home appliance_ID-05265

    Get PDF
The invention proposes that a kitchen appliance with a camera assisted cooking to achieve auto white balance (AWB) by using an algorithm. The algorithm allows the prevention of color biasing, commonly caused by a color channel failure during image processing. The color biasing results in the wrong estimation of food browning to mislead users to end up cooking processes based on the image\u27s information with low qualities. It causes the users to get overcooked or undercooked foods to degrade the user experience. Hence, the invention solves the color biasing issue, thereby allowing accurate identification of food browning inside an oven

Support bottom heater: Embossments for stackability - ID-05632

    Get PDF
The present invention relates to a support frame and a bottom heater thereof, wherein the support frame comprises a bottom plate, flanges, and embossment elements. The flanges are inclinedly extended from the side edges of the bottom plate. The embossment elements are arranged on the flanges. During a process of stacking at least two support frames, a holding mechanism is formed by the embossment elements of one of the two support frames. The embossment elements of one of the two support frames hold the bottom plate of the other support frame. Preferably, the support frame further comprises cut-out portions arranged on the flanges. During the stacking process, a stable holding mechanism is built by paring embossment elements of one of the two support frames and the cut-out portions of the other of the two support frames. Accordingly, the present invention provides a support frame having a stable-holding mechanism between stacked support frames without compromising the production, transportation, assembly, and functionality of the support frames

Front frame welded on modular cavity for ovens_ID-05158

    Get PDF
The invention relates to a cooking oven, which can accommodate food. The oven can be a microwave oven or a conventional heating oven with a microwave oven feature. The cavity of the oven into which the food is pushed has a flange at an edge facing the oven flap, which delimits the opening of the cavity. A front frame is attached to the flange, which is arranged between the oven flap and the flange when the oven flap is closed. It is proposed to weld the front frame to the flange so that there is no gap between the flange and the front frame. The effect that results from the elimination of the gap by welding of the front frame is that there is no channel-like connection between the interior of the cavity of the oven and the outer space surrounding the cavity. Therefore, microwave radiation cannot escape from the cavity. This means that no components, such as the electronic components of the oven or other devices in the vicinity, can be damaged by the microwave radiation, which would otherwise escape and interact with the electronic components

    Thermoelectric Generation in Home Appliance-ID-05011

    Get PDF
The invention applies a thermoelectric generator (TEG) to devices/home appliances for enhancing improve power consumption. The TEG converts thermal energy into electric current based on the difference of temperature gradient of the TEG materials with different Seebeck coefficient, making a reduction to total electricity for the operation of an appliance/device. Further, the electric current generator TEG provides power to a sensor attaching to pot utensils, e.g., a temperature sensor for monitoring food temperature, without relying on the continuous input of external electricity

Vertical support with cut-outs for snapping mechanism _ID-06256

    Get PDF
The invention relates to the simplified and quick installation of the kitchen hood at the ceiling above an island (or wall) positioned the cooking hob at a certain height, without the need to measure the height of the kitchen hood at the same time, by the assembling of the functional unit of the kitchen hood (venting part-chimney) with a support structure of the kitchen hood, already positioned, oriented and fixed. To support the concept of simplified installation of the hood, the vertical section of the hood support is done in the form of the vertical “U-profile” channel that has more cut-offs, displaced at its back wall following a matrix form, and marked by numbers indicating the hood installation height. The range of the hood’s vertical positioning into the channel could variate up to 300mm, with steps of 50mm. Through the hood installation approach, it is predicted that the hood chimney section should be inserted into the cavity of the vertical channel up to a certain height, being hooked here into cut-offs, by the snapping mechanism in form of a spring hook or the quick-release fasteners. Once inserted and hooked at the final position the hood should be screwed, afterwhile the aesthetic panels could be fixed (by magnetic snaping) to its ventilation section and support structure, following a specific procedure

HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE AND DOMESTIC APPLIANCE HAVING A HINGE ASSEMBLY_ID-05315

    Get PDF
There is described a hinge assembly (6, 6’, 6’’) for a domestic appliance (1), in particular an oven, for the treatment of food products. The hinge assembly (6, 6’, 6’’) comprises a first coupling body (15) configured to be coupled to a main body (2) of the domestic appliance (1), a connection unit (16) removably connected to the first coupling body (15), a second coupling body (17) configured to be coupled to a door (4) of the domestic appliance (1) and being pivoted to the connection unit (16) and is configured to angularly move around a first pivot axis (B) so as to control the second coupling body (17) between at least a first angular position and a second angular position and a locking unit (18) pivoted to the connection unit (16) and angularly moveable around a second pivot axis (C) and moveable between at least an active angular position at which the locking unit (18) is configured to interact with the first coupling body (15) and a rest angular position. The locking unit (18) comprises an engagement surface (28) configured to abut against an abutment surface (29) of the first coupling body (15) with the locking unit (18) being in the active angular position so as to generate a locking force for impeding detachment of the connection unit (16) from the first coupling body (15) and the abutment surface (29) and the engagement surface (28) are complementary to one another and/or are parallel to one another with the locking unit (18) being in the active angular position

Cooking/Keep warm function for religious preferences (Sabbath) - ID-06083

    Get PDF
The invention relates to an oven with a Sabbath mode. The oven comprises a control unit with an algorithm enabled to control both a heating arrangement and a user interface in compliance with the Jewish Laws for Sabbath celebration. Furthermore, the heating arrangement is adapted to deliver a low and constant power output without cycling intervals, thereby achieving a relatively low temperature inside an oven cavity. The heating arrangement comprises a two-circuit bottom heater or alternatively a first and a second heating elements in serial connection. Accordingly, a Sabbath mode enables an oven to warm food for a prolonged period without cooking it, and to comply with the rules extending to the use of household appliances in accordance with the requirements for the Sabbath celebration
