The Effects of Stigma Reduction Programs for Students with Mental Health Issues
Twenty percent of youth in the U.S have mental health issues. They suffer from the symptoms and people\u27s stigma toward people with mental health issues at the same time. If schools provide stigma reduction programs, it will be helpful for students with and without mental health issues. The students with mental health issues will be able to adjust in society but also students without mental health issues will be able to understand people with mental health issues. The review of literature has twelve studies related to the effectiveness of programs aimed at reducing stigma for children with mental health issues in school settings. The paper consists of review of stigma reduction strategy adding mental health classes as regular curriculum, stigma reduction strategy using expert-led workshops, comparison of stigma reduction programs, and a review of meta-analysis of stigma reduction intervention. As a result, the 12 studies suggest the importance of a reduction stigma program. The studies showed that contact with people with mental health issues is the most effective strategy to reduce stigma toward people with mental health issues. A stigma reduction program is not only for the school and students, but also our society and the world. This study has limitations regarding boundaries between methods. Many strategies were blended together. Future studies must clarify the methods in detail. Reducing negative attitudes about mental illness and its treatment via educational interventions may remove barriers to accessing services for children experiencing emotional and behavioral problems
An Empirical Study Of Hospitality Management Student Attitudes Toward Group Projects: Instructional Factors And Team Problems
The development of positive attitudes in team-based work is important in management education. This study investigates hospitality studentsā attitudes toward group projects by examining instructional factors and team problems. Specifically, we examine how the studentsā perceptions of project appropriateness, instructorsā support, and evaluation fairness influence their attitudes toward group projects. Also the effect of studentsā team problems on their attitudes toward group projects is examined. This study has highlighted the criticality of the instructorās role in group project management for achieving a high level of positive attitudes toward group projects among the hospitality management students
Association Between Knowledge and Attitude About Aging and Life Satisfaction Among Older Koreans
SummaryPurposeThe purpose of this study was to measure knowledge and attitude about aging and life satisfaction among older Korean adults and to examine the influence of attitude and knowledge about aging on these adults' life satisfaction.MethodsA cross-sectional and correlational design was used. A total of 405 older adults were surveyed using a written questionnaire at six elderly welfare centers in a metropolitan city in South Korea in mid April 2011. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression.ResultsThe score of knowledge on aging was below the medium level. Attitude about aging was neutral, and life satisfaction was at the medium level. Variables such as female sex, age, economic status, monthly allowance, living with a spouse, self-rated overall health, knowledge and attitude about aging accounted for 33.8% of the total variance in predicting life satisfaction of the older adults. Older age and lower economic status reduced life satisfaction. Being female, having a monthly income of 300,000 Korea Republic Won or more, living with a spouse, and better knowledge and attitude about aging were associated with enhanced life satisfaction.ConclusionThe effect of knowledge and attitude about aging on life satisfaction is significant. Economic status, living with a spouse and self-rated overall health status are also predictive factors in life satisfaction. Consequently, nursing interventions for education and psychological support to increase knowledge about aging and induce a positive attitude towards it should be developed to improve older adults' life satisfaction

The Implication of Substance P in the Development of Tendinopathy: A Case Control Study.
It was reported that substance P had beneficial effects in the healing of acute tendon injury. However, the relationship between substance P and degenerative tendinopathy development remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of substance P in the pathogenesis of tendinopathy. Healthy and tendinopathy tendon were harvested from human and tenocytes were cultured individually. The expression levels of genes associated with tendinopathy were compared. Next, substance P was exogenously administered to the healthy tenocyte and the effect was evaluated. The results showed that tendinopathy tenocytes had higher levels of COL3A1, MMP1, COX2, SCX, ACTA2, and substance P gene expression compared to healthy tenocytes. Next, substance P treatment on the healthy tenocyte displayed similar changes to that of the tendinopathy tenocytes. These differences between the two groups were also determined by Western blot. Additionally, cells with substance P had the tendinopathy change morphologically although cellular proliferation was significantly higher compared to that of the control group. In conclusion, substance P enhanced cellular proliferation, but concomitantly increased immature collagen (type 3 collagen). Substance P plays a crucial role in tendinopathy development and could be a future therapeutic target for treatment
Satellite Clustering for Non-Terrestrial Networks: Concept, Architectures, and Applications
Recently, mega-constellations with a massive number of low Earth orbit (LEO)
satellites are being considered as a possible solution for providing global
coverage due to relatively low latency and high throughput compared to
geosynchronous orbit satellites. However, as the number of satellites and
operators participating in the LEO constellation increases, inter-satellite
interference will become more severe, which may yield marginal improvement or
even decrement in network throughput. In this article, we introduce the concept
of satellite clusters that can enhance network performance through satellites'
cooperative transmissions. The characteristics, formation types, and
transmission schemes for the satellite clusters are highlighted. Simulation
results evaluate the impact of clustering from coverage and capacity
perspectives, showing that when the number of satellites is large, the
performance of clustered networks outperforms the unclustered ones. The viable
network architectures of the satellite cluster are proposed based on the 3GPP
standard. Finally, the future applications of clustered satellite networks are

Emotional fit with culture: Predictor of individual differences in relational well-being
There is increasing evidence for emotional fit in couples and groups, but also within cultures. In the current research, we investigated the consequences of emotional fit at the cultural level. Given that emotions reflect people's view on the world, and that shared views are associated with good social relationships, we expected that an individual's fit to the average cultural patterns of emotion would be associated with relational well-being. Using an implicit measure of cultural fit of emotions, we found across 3 different cultural contexts (United States, Belgium, and Korea) that (1) individuals' emotional fit is associated with their level of relational well-being, and that (2) the link between emotional fit and relational well-being is particularly strong when emotional fit is measured for situations pertaining to relationships (rather than for situations that are self-focused). Together, the current studies suggest that people may benefit from emotionally "fitting in" to their culture
The Sedimentary records of the Hapcheon impact crater basin in Korea over the past 1.3 Ma
The Hapcheon impact crater is the only meteorite impact crater identified on the Korean peninsula. However, the morphology of the impact crater and the nature of the meteorite collision are unknown. In this study, we analyzed the sedimentary facies using grain size data; computed tomography images, 14C, 10Be, and optically stimulated luminescence dating on a >66-m-long sediment core (20HCL04) recovered from the Hapcheon Basin. Four sedimentary units and 10 types of facies were documented in the Hapcheon Basin sediment core. The sedimentary units comprise 1) a lower part (unit 1) that is dominated by moderately to well-sorted coarse gravel, which contains some impact-related sediments; 2) a middle part (units 2 and 3) dominated by well-laminated mud; and 3) an upper part (Unit 4) that is dominated by poorly sorted coarse gravel supplied from the surrounding mountain slopes by alluvial and fluvial processes. After the meteorite impact, the Hapcheon impact crater was filled with deposits from the crater wall after ca. 1.3Ā Ma and the Hapcheon Basin became a deep lake environment. After ca. 0.5Ā Ma, sediments were supplied from the surrounding mountains until the lake was filled. Finally, sediments were deposited in an alluvial fan setting. In addition, the Hapcheon Basin sedimentary cores contain a tephra layer and deformed soft sediments that can be used to investigate volcanic and seismic events on the Korean Peninsula over the past 1.3Ā Ma
The KIDSCREEN-52 Quality of Life Measure for Children and Adolescents (KIDSCREEN-52-HRQOL): Reliability and Validity of the Korean Version
The KIDSCREEN-52 quality-of-life (KIDSCREEN-52-HRQOL) is a relevant, worldwide tool used for assessing the health-related quality of life in children and adolescents. The purpose of this study was to define measurement properties of the Korean version of the KIDSCREEN-52 HRQOL. The original questionnaire was translated following international translation guidelines. Analysis regarding psychometric properties showed that the Cronbach-alpha ranged from 0.77 to 0.95. The correlation coefficient between the PedQL and KIDSCREEN-52 dimensions were high for the assessments of similar constructs. Therefore, the Korean version of the KIDSCREEN-52 was found to be suitable for use in Korean adolescents
