Service Order Handling
Current service order handling systems in telecommunications industry have problems
such as user-unfriendliness, long service waiting time, uneasy customization of services,
limited capability of in-house services, and inefficient human resources allocation.
Consequently, the current solutions for the ordering process cannot be used to meet the
business needs of service providers. To solve this problem, a generic service order handling
model is suggested. Based on the TINA-C information modeling and computation modeling
concepts, service order handling information object types and interfaces were defined.
The three ordering interfaces studied in this model are: service negotiation, service
ordering and order tracking for the main service provider and subcontracted service provider.
To support the transfer of ordering information, the Store-and-Forward Paradigm is
proposed. This Store-and-Forward paradigm is based on the use of e-mail (e.g., X.400) to
transport non-realtime information
Bilateral Axillo-Breast Approach Robotic Thyroidectomy: Introduction and Update
Bilateral axillo-breast approach (BABA) endoscopic thyroidectomy was introduced at Seoul National University Hospital in 2004, and it has been used to treat a variety of benign and malignant thyroid diseases. In 2008, we began using the da Vinci robotic system with BABA endoscopic thyroidectomy and reported our initial experiences in 2009. Since then, the outcomes of many clinical studies have been reported. In this chapter, we will introduce the BABA robotic thyroidectomy (RoT) procedure and review evidence for the safety of performing BABA. First, we will introduce the history of BABA RoT, which is based on an endoscopic BABA method. Second, we will review the BABA RoT equipment, operating room (OR) set-up, and the procedures, including surgical indications. Third, technical, oncological, and functional evidence for the safety of performing BABA will be described. Fourth, we will highlight the esthetic superiority of BABA RoT compared with conventional thyroidectomy. Finally, the BABA robotic modified radical neck dissection procedure will be introduced, with mention of our experiences and special concerns. We conclude that BABA RoT is technically, oncologically, and functionally safe. In addition, its esthetic superiority should be emphasized. Further research on the prognosis of patients treated by BABA RoT should follow in the future
Single-Copy Certification of Two-Qubit Gates without Entanglement
A quantum state transformation can be generally approximated by single- and
two-qubit gates. This, however, does not hold with noisy intermediate-scale
quantum technologies due to the errors appearing in the gate operations, where
errors of two-qubit gates such as controlled-NOT and SWAP operations are
dominated. In this work, we present a cost efficient single-copy certification
for a realization of a two-qubit gate in the presence of depolarization noise,
where it is aimed to identify if the realization is noise-free, or not. It is
shown that entangled resources such as entangled states and a joint measurement
are not necessary for the purpose, i.e., a noise-free two-qubit gate is not
needed to certify an implementation of a two-qubit gate. A proof-of-principle
demonstration is presented with photonic qubits.Comment: 8 pages. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1812.0208
Fabrication of a tungsten master stamp using self-ordered porous alumina
We describe the preparation of a tungsten pillar nanoimprint stamp without
the use of lithography and etching techniques. Structures with heights of
15 nm were prepared on the basis of self-ordered porous alumina templates
and this was followed by DC sputtering of tungsten. The stamp was
successfully used to prepare an aluminium surface to obtain highly ordered
porous anodic alumina films after a single anodization step. The preparation
efficiency for highly ordered porous alumina was dramatically improved as
compared to the more conventional two-step anodization–strip-anodization
method, as a sacrificial layer with a thickness of a few hundred micrometres
was not required. In addition, by fractal calculations, we have evaluated the
degree of ordering of the asperities on the nanoimprint master stamp
