How to coadd images: II. Anti-aliasing and PSF deconvolution

We have developed a novel method for co-adding multiple under-sampled images that combines the iteratively reweighted least squares and divide-and-conquer algorithms. Our approach not only allows for the anti-aliasing of the images but also enables PSF deconvolution, resulting in enhanced restoration of extended sources, the highest PSNR, and reduced ringing artefacts. To test our method, we conducted numerical simulations that replicated observation runs of the CSST/VST telescope and compared our results to those obtained using previous algorithms. The simulation showed that our method outperforms previous approaches in several ways, such as restoring the profile of extended sources and minimizing ringing artefacts. Additionally, because our method relies on the inherent advantages of least squares fitting, it is more versatile and does not depend on the local uniformity hypothesis for the PSF. However, the new method consumes much more computation than the other approaches.Comment: 16 pages, 5 figures, 2 tables, accepted for publishing on RA

The arrangement of the electrode materials is a significant contributor for constructing high performance supercapacitor. Here, vertically-aligned Mn(OH)2 nanosheet thin films were synthesized by cathodic electrodeposition technique on flexible Au coated polyethylene terephthalate substrates. Morphologies, microstructures, chemical compositions and valence state of the nanosheet films were characterized systematically. It shows that the nanosheets arranged vertically to the substrate, forming a porous nanowall structures and creating large open framework, which greatly facilitate the adsorption or diffusion of electrolyte ions for faradaic redox reaction. Electrochemical tests of the films show the specific capacitance as high as 240.2 F g−1 at 1.0 A g−1. The films were employed to assemble symmetric all-solid-state supercapacitors with LiCl/PVA gel severed as solid electrolyte. The solid devices exhibit high volumetric capacitance of 39.3 mF cm−3 at the current density 0.3 mA cm−3 with robust cycling stability. The superior performance is attributed to the vertically-aligned configuration

Synergistically enhancing the electrical conductivity of carbon fibre reinforced polymers by vertical graphene and silver nanowires

Increasing the electrical conductivity of carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRPs) holds great promises for a range of applications, such as removing the need for metallic meshes in the protection against electromagnetic interference and lightning strikes. Herein, a hybrid method of improving the electrical conductivity of CFRPs by functionalizing carbon fibres with vertical graphene (VG) and modifying the matrix with silver nanowires (AgNWs) is introduced. The results revealed that the hybrid method increased the through-thickness and the in-plane electrical conductivities by almost 38 times and 39%, respectively, without adversely affecting mechanical properties. Finite element modelling revealed that the unprecedented synergy is due to the significant reduction in the contact resistance between carbon fibres by the combination of VGs on the fibres and the AgNWs in the matrix. Computational modelling showed that the electrical conductivity increase can reduce the joule heat density by around one thousand times under simplified lightning strike conditions

Agenda 21 Brazilian is a process and, at the same time, instrument of participative planning for the sustainable development and that it has as central axle the sustentabilidade, compatibizando the ambient conservation, social justice and the economic growth. Chipmunk Parvovirus Is Distinct from Members in the Genus Erythrovirus of the Family Parvoviridae

    Get PDF
The transcription profile of chipmunk parvovirus (ChpPV), a tentative member of the genus Erythrovirus in the subfamily Parvovirinae of the family Parvoviridae, was characterized by transfecting a nearly full-length genome. We found that it is unique from the profiles of human parvovirus B19 and simian parvovirus, the members in the genus Erythrovirus so far characterized, in that the small RNA transcripts were not processed for encoding small non-structural proteins. However, like the large non-structural protein NS1 of the human parvovirus B19, the ChpPV NS1 is a potent inducer of apoptosis. Further phylogenetic analysis of ChpPV with other parvoviruses in the subfamily Parvovirinae indicates that ChpPV is distinct from the members in genus Erythrovirus. Thus, we conclude that ChpPV may represent a new genus in the family Parvoviridae

Effects of Turning Frequency on Ammonia Emission during the Composting of Chicken Manure and Soybean Straw

Here, we investigated the impact of different turning frequency (TF) on dynamic changes of N fractions, NH3 emission and bacterial/archaeal community during chicken manure composting. Compared to higher TF (i.e., turning every 1 or 3 days in CMS1 or CMS3 treatments, respectively), lower TF (i.e., turning every 5 or 7 days in CMS5 or CMS7 treatments, respectively) decreased NH3 emission by 11.42–18.95%. Compared with CMS1, CMS3 and CMS7 treatments, the total nitrogen loss of CMS5 decreased by 38.03%, 17.06% and 24.76%, respectively. Ammonia oxidizing bacterial/archaeal (AOB/AOA) communities analysis revealed that the relative abundance of Nitrosospira and Nitrososphaera was higher in lower TF treatment during the thermophilic and cooling stages, which could contribute to the reduction of NH3 emission. Thus, different TF had a great influence on NH3 emission and microbial community during composting. It is practically feasible to increase the abundance of AOB/AOA through adjusting TF and reduce NH3 emission the loss of nitrogen during chicken manure composting

Dynamic Response of Aluminum Honeycomb Sandwich Plate Subjected to Impact by Flying Spear

    No full text
Numerical simulation and experiment were applied to study the dynamic response of aluminum honeycomb sandwich plate subjected to the impact by flying spear as well as the the proper velocity of the flying spear impacting on the plate. The deformation mode and damage form of the aluminum honeycomb sandwich plate were obtained. Moreover, the proper velocity of the flying spear is around 40m/s~50m/s. It is confirmed that The deformation area of the upper and lower panels decreases with the increase of the impact velocity, whereas the buckling angle of the panel increases with the increase of the impact velocity. The damage forms of the aluminum honeycomb cell are collapse and buckling sequentially from the impact point to the surrounding. In addition, The collapse area of the honeycomb cells increases with the increase of the maximum diameter of the flying spear and the range of buckling decreases with the increase of impact velocity. The experimental results are in good agreement with the simulation results
