Objective: The present study aims to explore the effects of self-efficacy and behavioral changes on exercise that impact on the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of middle-aged Malaysian women. Methods: A questionnaire-based data collection was performed from October 2013 to March 2014 in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. Analysis of data was performed by SPSS (vs. 21.0) after recording body mass index, general health, physical health status, self-efficacy, and self-awareness associated with HRQoL. Correlation between the parameters was performed using Pearson's correlation coefficients, and the reliability test was conducted using Cronbach's alpha (α). Results are mentioned as significant when p-values are found to be <0.05.Results: Findings of the study indicate though women of Klang Valley suffer from few health problems, they prefer exercise to maintain their HRQoL. It has been observed that self-efficacy and behavioral changes for exercise related QoL are affected by several factors, such as education, monthly income, marital status, and even ethnicity. Among 736 respondents, only 304 made a change in their exercise regime, and the level of change is about 58.4% had made small increase and followed by 41.3%. Women with higher self-efficacy (50.35%) made changes by taking up exercise to have a healthy lifestyle. Conclusions: This study portrays that women of Klang Valley, Malaysia, are inflicted with quite a good self-efficacy to exercise, which impacts their HRQoL

Configuration of a newly optimized multi-cyclones unit as a fine particulate emission separator in air pollution control

Multi-cyclones separator, which consists of many miniature cyclones, works in the same principle as single cyclone in separation of particulate matter from flue gas. However, multi-cyclone is able to attain higher collection efficiency and concurrently avoid rapid increasing of pressure drop due to the usage of small diameter cyclone. The studies on multi-cyclones are very limited and lacking especially on its design configurations due to its confidentiality and commercial reason. Thus, a configuration of a newly optimized multi-cyclone unit named as MR-deDuster is discussed and assessed in this study. Six dimensions considered in the study include diameter of cyclone (D), diameter of vortex finder (De), length of cyclone body (Lb), length of cyclone cone (Lc), length of vortex finder (S), and diameter of dust outlet (Dd). The theoretical background of the unit was developed based on the modifications of established design equations available in literatures. The selection of the new dimension and the actual size of the unit were based on two main criteria (the performance of the unit based on its cut-diameter and the ratio of axial dimensions). The predicted cut-diameter and pressure drop of the selected dimension was 1.7 μm and 86 mm of water, respectively. Meanwhile, the optimum axial ratios of the final design were Lb/D = 1.6, S/D = 1, and Lb-S/D = 0.7, with respect to the diameter of the cyclone

The Relationship Between Depression and Quality of Life in Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis in Indonesia

Patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD) must spare four hours a day, three days a week, irrespective of the patient’s schedule. Thus, it is common for chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients to be depressed, and with the progression of CKD, their overall quality of life (QOL) could decrease. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the relationship between depression and QOL among patients undergoing hemodialysis in Indonesia. This cross-sectional research was conducted at a West Java Province, Indonesia, public health center, from August to December 2020. The inclusion criteria of participants were over the age of 20 and having been undergoing HD for at least six months. Depression was evaluated using the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) and QOL was measured using The Kidney Disease and Life Quality-SFTM v1.3 Survey (The KDQOL-SFTM v1.3). Pearson’s correlation analysis was used to investigate the correlation between depression and QOL. There were 190 respondents out of 225 (response rate: 84.4%), including 100 patients with CKD stages 1-3 (response rate: 75.6%). No correlation was found between demographic characteristics and QOL in HD patients (p > 0.05). The Indonesian KDQOL-SFTM v1.3 was associated with the BDI-II, and r ranged from 00.354 to 0.486. In order to increase QOL, it is recommended that depression is treated with routine follow-up in a collaborative care approach because intensive treatment is not normally reproduced in real-world practices. Keywords: quality of life, depression, hemodialysis, cross-sectional, Indonesi

These things are important to ensure that the business is running properly without any wastage. Furthermore, by analysing the viability of the proposed venture, it will help the sales team to increase their productivity because of a clear mission that they have been exposed to

Effectiveness Of Education Regarding Stunting Prevention to Cadres: Systematic Literature Review

Stunting, a disease characterized by prolonged nutritional deficiency during the initial 1,000 days of a newborn's life, continues to be a significant health concern in Indonesia, holding the second highest global prevalence. Ineffective parenting practices, insufficient prenatal care, challenges getting to nutrients and clean water, and infectious illnesses are some of the factors that contribute to childhood stunting. The provision of education to cadres on the prevention of stunting is one of the aspects of stunting prevention that plays a significant role in the process of overcoming the variables which lead to stunting from their underlying causes. Through the transmission of health information, the training that is offered to cadres has the potential to promote public health. This research wants to see how effective stunting education is in increasing cadres' knowledge about stunting prevention. In this study, a systematic literature review was combined with a search for systematic studies using the PRISMA technique, and the search was conducted on two national journal portals. The primary discussion of the study was based on six papers, all of which were investigated with a cross-sectional design that included stunting prevention instruction for cadres. These studies were chosen for the research project. Education with audiovisual media and lecture and discussion techniques has a 70% efficacy rate in expanding cadre knowledge. This is the way with the highest effectiveness rate. &nbsp
