The Bicentennial Constitutions : Two hundred years after the first steps of the Colombian Constitutional development

La presente investigación está dirigida al estudio de 11 constituciones colombianas promulgadas entre 1810 y 1821, una década que, aunque problemática, sentó las bases del desarrollo constitucional colombiano. En este trabajo, además de destacar la importancia de éstos textos a partir del poder político; la división territorial; los derechos y minorías; el modelo económico y la hacienda pública, se resaltan, en primer lugar, aquellas instituciones jurídicas y políticas que provienen de estas cartas políticas y que hoy, doscientos años después, conservan un lugar en la Constitución de 1991; y en segundo lugar, aquellas instituciones que, aunque no perviven en la Carta de 1991, merecen un espacio en ella para enriquecer de otras maneras los debates constitucionales e institucionales actuales.The present research is aimed at the study of 11 Colombian constitutions promulgated between 1810 and 1821, a decade that, although problematic, laid the foundations for Colombian constitutional development. In this work, in addition to highlighting the importance of these texts from the political power; the territorial division; rights and minorities; the economic model and the public finances, features, in the first place, those legal and political institutions that come from these political letters and that today, two hundred years later, retain a place in the 1991 Constitution; and secondly, those institutions that, although they do not survive in the 1991 Charter, deserve a space in it to enrich in other ways today's constitutional and institutional debatesMagíster en Derecho ConstitucionalMaestrí
