Design and Implementation of IOT Based Real Time Monitoring System for Aquaculture using Raspberry Pi

    Get PDF
Internet of things is one of the rapidly growing fields for delivering social and economic benefits for emerging and developing economy. The field of IOT is expanding its wings in all the domains like medical, industrial, transportation, education, mining etc.Now-adayswiththe advancement in integrated on chip computers like Arduino, Raspberry pi the technology is reaching the ground level with its application in agriculture and aquaculture. Water quality is a critical factor while culturing aquatic organisms. It mainly depends on several parameters like dissolved oxygen, ammonia, pH, temperature, salt, nitrates, carbonates etc. The quality of water is monitored continuously with the help of sensors to ensure growth and survival of aquatic life. The sensed data is transferred to the aqua farmer mobile through cloud. As a result preventive measures can be taken in time to minimize the losses and increase the productivity

Evaluation of Adsorption Mechanism in Clogging of Materials Used in Drip Irrigation System

Alaboratory study was conductedto understand the adsorption mechanism in clogging of different materials used in drip irrigation system. The adsorption characteristics of Langmuir and Freundlich equations for granules of PVC, LLDPE, silicon diaphragm (rubber button) and HDPE were analysed. The result indicated that the per cent clogging was higher for LLDPE indicating 6.9 to 11.1% from day 1 to day 15 compared to other grinded materials. The minimum per cent clogging was recorded as 1.1 to 3.0% for PVC. The adsorption study demonstrated that LLDPE is the most and PVC is the least susceptible to clogging

339-341A series of compounds O,O-dialkyl-O-coumarinophosphorothioates have been synthesized and screened for pesticidal activities against HeLicoverpa armigera. Some of the compounds (3,4, 6 and 7) show significant activities while rest of the compounds show moderate activities

Discovery and Characterization of Potent, Efficacious, Orally Available Antimalarial Plasmepsin X Inhibitors and Preclinical Safety Assessment of UCB7362

Plasmepsin X (PMX) is an essential aspartyl protease controlling malaria parasite egress and invasion of erythrocytes, development of functional liver merozoites (prophylactic activity), and blocking transmission to mosquitoes, making it a potential multistage drug target. We report the optimization of an aspartyl protease binding scaffold and the discovery of potent, orally active PMX inhibitors with in vivo antimalarial efficacy. Incorporation of safety evaluation early in the characterization of PMX inhibitors precluded compounds with a long human half-life (t1/2) to be developed. Optimization focused on improving the off-target safety profile led to the identification ofUCB7362that had an improved in vitro and in vivo safety profile but a shorter predicted humant1/2.UCB7362is estimated to achieve 9 log 10 unit reduction in asexual blood-stage parasites with once-daily dosing of 50 mg for 7 days. This work demonstrates the potential to deliver PMX inhibitors with in vivo efficacy to treat malaria
