Critical Determinants for Mobile Commerce Adoption in Vietnamese SMEs: A Preliminary Study

    Get PDF
The critical determinants for e-commerce, e-business, and other enterprise information systems adoption in SMEs have been well-documented. The critical determinants for m-commerce adoption in SMEs, however, are still limited, especially in SMEs in developing countries. This paper develops a measurement instrument for investigating the critical determinants of m-commerce adoption in Vietnamese SMEs. A preliminary study is conducted for confirming the reliability and validity of the instrument based on the data collected from 172 managers of Vietnamese SMEs using an online survey. The Cronbach’s alpha and the composite reliability values of the proposed variables strongly support their reliability. The results of the exploratory factor analysis confirm constructs’ discriminant validity. The average variance extracted values confirm constructs’ convergent validity. This study contributes to the identification of the critical determinants for m-commerce adoption in SMEs. It provides a comprehensive framework for assessing the critical determinants for m-commerce adoption in SMEs in developing countries

Asymptotic Equivalence of Triangular Differential Equations in Hilbert Spaces

    No full text
In this article, we study conditions for the asymptotic equivalence of differential equations in Hilbert spaces. We also discuss the relationship between the properties of solutions of differential equations of triangular form and those of truncated differential equations.Вивчено умови асимптотичної еквівалентності диференціальних рівнянь у гільбертових просторах. Розглянуто також зв'язок між властивостями розв'язків диференціальних рівнянь трикутної форми та неповних диференціальних рівнянь

Studying of The Viability of Selected Probioitcs in Soy Milk to Develop A Functional Beverage Product

In this research, Lactobacillus casei (L.casei) and  Lactobacillus plantarum (L.plantarum) were added into two soymilk products. The number of survival probiotics as well as the effects of probiotic strains, soymilk brands and additives to the quality of final product were also studied. The initial number was added around 107 to 108(CFU/ml) into Fami and Vinasoy soy milk. The number of survival probiotics was stable during the first four weeks with about 107 (CFU/ml) and then decreased to around 106 (CFU/ml) in the sixth week. In term of soymilk’s quality, the pH decreased dramatically while the Brix fell slowly after storing seven days in both soymilk products. The influence of food additive-fructose oligosaccharides adding to microencapsulate probiotics was also examined to increase storage time and final product quality

Three new species of the spiral nematode genus helicotylenchus steiner, 1945 (nematoda: hoplolaimidae) from Vietnam

Investigations on entomopathogenic and plant parasitic nematodes in some natural forests in the Ngoc Linh mountain (Quang Nam province) and the Thuong Xuan forest (Thanh Hoa province) revealed three new species of plant parasitic nematodes belonging to the genus Helicotylenchus Steiner, 1945 (Nematoda: Hoplolaimidae). These new species were named Helicotylenchus castanus sp. n., Helicotylenchus madhucus sp. n. and Helicotylenchus digitus sp. n. with morphological characteristics described and illustrated. The new species Helicotylenchus castanus sp.n.  is characterized by the highly hemispherical shape of the lip region, extremely short and rounded tail without projection. The second new species Helicotylenchus madhucus sp. n. is characterized by high lip region with 4-5 annuli, hemispherical and not set off from body contour, stylet 31.3-35.9 (33.3 ± 1.3) µm long, tail with a short ventral projection and the presence of males in the population. The third new species, Helicotylenchus digitus sp.n. was recognized by broad rounded tail with strong annulated projection in the digital shape, and also the presence of males in population.

A conceptual framework of virtual team effectiveness from the socio-technical perspective

    Get PDF
In the era of globalization and technologization, virtual teamwork has become a routine part of professional activity in the software industry and other industries. Understanding virtual team effectiveness helps the management to improve the overall effectiveness of organizations. In this paper, we conduct a literature review of team research to set up a conceptual framework of virtual team effectiveness based on the socio-technical perspective and Inputs-Mediators- Outputs-Inputs model. Our framework includes some salient inputs, mediators and outputs of virtual team life-cycle; specifically, technology readiness and intention to explore are two technical antecedents; team learning and transactive memory system are two social antecedents; and team performance is a socio-technical output representing virtual team effectiveness. After that, a 27-item measuring instrument of aforesaid concepts is proposed after a qualitative survey of 19 virtual team leaders and a quantitative survey of 151 virtual team members from 19 companies locating in Vietnam. The results are references for those interested in improving virtual team effectiveness

Correlation between Resilient Modulus MR and Deviator Stress for Subgrade soils of northern provinces in Vietnam

    Get PDF
Recently, Resilient Modulus is applied in pavement structural design in Vietnam. The resilient modulus of subgrade soil is an essential input parameter for a flexible pavement design. The resilient modulus depends on soil properties, stress state, and soil type.  However, there is limited research on resilient modulus of soils and models to estimate resilient modulus in Vietnam. Therefore, in this study, soil samples were collected from two provinces in northern Vietnam, namely Bac Giang province and Ninh Binh province, and then physical and mechanical tests were conducted for these samples. In addition, a series of cyclic triaxial tests also conducted according to AASHTO T307 specification to obtain resilient modulus of these soils.  The results showed that the resilient modulus decreased with the increase of deviator stress for Bac Giang samples and increased with the increase of deviator stress in the case of Ninh Binh samples. Simple deviator stress models have developed to estimate a resilient modulus of soils in the area
