    FACTORS INFLUENCING PURCHASE INTENTION TOWARD ONLINE FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE: A CASE STUDY OF EXPERIENCED CONSUMERS IN HUNAN PROVINCE, CHINA

    The purpose of this research was to identify the factor influence online food delivery service purchasing intention who live in Hunan province, China. The variables that had been used in this study framework were Price value, Health consciousness, Food safety concern, Prestige value, Affordances value and Visibility. The questionnaire was conducted and selected from 200 respondents in Hunan province by using the non-probability sampling method as purposive sampling. The Multiple Linear Regression was applied for hypothesis testing. The result revealed that Food Safety Concern (β = 0.31, p=.02). was the most influence factor toward consumers’ purchasing intention of online food delivery service. Thus, it showed that Food Safety Concern towards online food delivery service was the most important in determining online food delivery service of Hunan province consumers. The finding suggested that by enhancing the consumer purchasing intentions, the online food delivery service owners should rather focus on Food Safety Concern factor

    Management Mechanism for Safeguarding of Musical Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors in Hunan, China

    Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the status of the protection and management mechanism for inheritors of musical intangible cultural heritage in Hunan Province, China. Research design, data and methodology: This was a mixed method research. In the quantitative research part, questionnaire was used as instrument. The four dimensions of situation (living condition, professional skills, social status, and the government's support) are used to explore the relative importance of musical intangible cultural heritage to inheritors in addition to inheritors satisfaction and how inheritors satisfaction influences their behavioral intention. This part surveys 300 practitioners in the field of music intangible cultural heritage in Hunan. In the part of qualitative research, nine questions were used to conduct in-depth interviews with 10 managers of music intangible cultural heritage through semi-structured interviews. Results and Conclusions: The results indicate that three of four living situation dimensions, including Professional skills, Social status, and Government's support, influence inheritors satisfaction and inheritors satisfaction influence in behavioral intention

    The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing Changsha residents' purchase intention through TikTok short video platform. The variables used in this research framework including trust, perceived media richness, perceived price fairness, perceived convenience, and perceived host interaction. Purposive sampling technique was employed to recruit 200 respondents in Changsha City to participate in the study. The Multiple Linear Regression analysis was implemented as the statistical analysis. The results revealed that Perceived Media Richness was the most influent factor affecting consumers' shopping through TikTok short video platform for consumers in Changsha District. As a result, it was evident that the online store owners whose marketing their products via TikTok short video platform should emphasis on perceived media richness factor to enhancing consumers’ purchase intention

    China’s Drought Climate Monitoring System

    In China, about 50% of the country is in arid and semiarid regions. Drought is the most severe climate disaster to affect China, and it causes significant reductions in grain yields. The area affected annually by drought has been estimated at about 20 million ha, which accounts for 59% of the total area affected by disasters. When severe droughts occur, they can affect as much as 33 million ha. To monitor the occurrence and development of droughts efficiently and provide information on the strength and range of droughts and floods, the China Drought–Flood Climate Monitoring System was developed by the National Climate Center (NCC) in June 1995. The system can monitor the occurrence and development of droughts and floods and analyze disasters comprehensively. Since July 1996, directors of the China Meteorological Administration have been able to obtain information on national drought/ flood occurrence on a daily basis through a computer network using the system. The system provides a scientific basis for the government to take measures to prevent drought/flood disasters and safeguard lives and property. The system is also used to study and forecast drought/flood climate

    Deletion of <i>PRKAA</i> triggers mitochondrial fission by inhibiting the autophagy-dependent degradation of DNM1L

    <p>PRKAA (protein kinase, AMP-activated, α catalytic subunit) regulates mitochondrial biogenesis, function, and turnover. However, the molecular mechanisms by which PRKAA regulates mitochondrial dynamics remain poorly characterized. Here, we report that PRKAA regulated mitochondrial fission via the autophagy-dependent degradation of DNM1L (dynamin 1-like). Deletion of <i>Prkaa1</i>/AMPKα1 or <i>Prkaa2</i>/AMPKα2 resulted in defective autophagy, DNM1L accumulation, and aberrant mitochondrial fragmentation in the mouse aortic endothelium. Furthermore, autophagy inhibition by chloroquine treatment or <i>ATG7</i> small interfering RNA (siRNA) transfection, upregulated DNM1L expression and triggered DNM1L-mediated mitochondrial fragmentation. In contrast, autophagy activation by overexpression of ATG7 or chronic administration of rapamycin, the MTOR inhibitor, promoted DNM1L degradation and attenuated mitochondrial fragmentation in <i>Prkaa2</i>-deficient (<i>prkaa2</i><sup>−/−</sup>) mice, suggesting that defective autophagy contributes to enhanced DNM1L expression and mitochondrial fragmentation. Additionally, the autophagic receptor protein SQSTM1/p62, which bound to DNM1L and led to its translocation into the autophagosome, was involved in DNM1L degradation by the autophagy-lysosome pathway. Gene silencing of <i>SQSTM1</i> markedly reduced the association between SQSTM1 and DNM1L, impaired the degradation of DNM1L, and enhanced mitochondrial fragmentation in PRKAA-deficient endothelial cells. Finally, the genetic (<i>DNM1L</i> siRNA) or pharmacological (mdivi-1) inhibition of DNMA1L ablated mitochondrial fragmentation in the mouse aortic endothelium and prevented the acetylcholine-induced relaxation of isolated mouse aortas. This suggests that aberrant DNM1L is responsible for enhanced mitochondrial fragmentation and endothelial dysfunction in <i>prkaa</i> knockout mice. Overall, our results show that PRKAA deletion promoted mitochondrial fragmentation in vascular endothelial cells by inhibiting the autophagy-dependent degradation of DNM1L.</p

    Tumor-associated macrophages derived CCL18 promotes metastasis in squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck

    Abstract Background Alternatively activated macrophages in tumor microenvironment is defined as M2 tumor-associated macrophages (M2 TAMs) that promote cancer progression. However, communicative mechanisms between M2 TAMs and cancer cells in squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck (SCCHN) remain largely unknown. Methods Quantitative real-time PCR, western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and flow cytometry were applied to quantify mRNA and protein expression of genes related to M2 TAMs, epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and stemness. Wounding-healing and Transwell invasion assays were performed to detect the invasion and migration. Sphere formation assay was used to detect the stemness of SCCHN cells. RNA-sequencing and following bioinformatics analysis were used to determine the alterations of transcriptome. Results THP-1 monocytes were successfully polarized into M2-like TAMs, which was manifested by increased mRNA and protein expression of CCL18, IL-10 and CD206. Conditioned medium from M2-like TAMs promoted the migration and invasion of SCCHN cells, which was accompanied by the occurrence of EMT and enhanced stemness. Importantly, CCL18 neutralizing antibody partially abrogated these effects that caused by conditional medium from M2-like TAMs. In addition, recombinant human CCL18 (rhCCL18) correspondingly promoted the malignant biological behaviors of SCCHN in vitro. Finally, RNA-sequencing analysis identified 331 up-regulated and 363 down-regulated genes stimulated by rhCCL18, which were statistically enriched in 10 cancer associated signaling pathways. Conclusion These findings indicate that CCL18 derived from M2-like TAMs promotes metastasis via inducing EMT and cancer stemness in SCCHN in vitro
