Description of a new species of Forcipomyia (Euprojoannisia) Brèthes, 1914 (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae) and a key to Chinese species of the subgenus
Forcipomyia (Euprojoannisia) coronacella Han et Hou sp. n. (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae) is described and illustrated based on male specimens from China. The new species is compared with the similar congeners, F. (Euprojoannisia) palustris (Meigen, 1804) and F. (Euprojoannisia) mucronis Liu et Yu, 2001. We provide separate keys for identification of the males and females of the species of the subgenus F. (Euprojoannisia) Brèthes in China
Generating Handwritten Chinese Characters using CycleGAN
Handwriting of Chinese has long been an important skill in East Asia.
However, automatic generation of handwritten Chinese characters poses a great
challenge due to the large number of characters. Various machine learning
techniques have been used to recognize Chinese characters, but few works have
studied the handwritten Chinese character generation problem, especially with
unpaired training data. In this work, we formulate the Chinese handwritten
character generation as a problem that learns a mapping from an existing
printed font to a personalized handwritten style. We further propose DenseNet
CycleGAN to generate Chinese handwritten characters. Our method is applied not
only to commonly used Chinese characters but also to calligraphy work with
aesthetic values. Furthermore, we propose content accuracy and style
discrepancy as the evaluation metrics to assess the quality of the handwritten
characters generated. We then use our proposed metrics to evaluate the
generated characters from CASIA dataset as well as our newly introduced Lanting
calligraphy dataset.Comment: Accepted at WACV 201

本文综合分析了国内外关于代谢组学技术运用于针灸机理研究的相关文献,发现目前代谢组学方法已经广泛应用于针灸研究,但是代谢组学研究结果难以全面阐释针灸作用机理,研究结果分析局限于代谢模式改变的分析,缺乏大样本临床试验数据支撑,对针刺、艾灸治疗手段的始动机制研究甚少。This paper aimed to analyze the relevant literature on mechanism studies of metabonomics in acupuncture field. The results showed that currently metabolomics has been widely used in acupuncture research, but metabolomics studies are difficult to fully explain the mechanism of acupuncture, the analysis is limited at the changes of metabolic patterns, large scaled clinical trials were few, researches that focused on how acupuncture and moxibustion started were poor
Relationship between quality of professional capacity building for kindergarten teachers and children’s language development: the mediating role of kindergarten language education activities quality
Strengthening the professional capacity building for kindergarten teachers is crucial for improving the quality of kindergarten education and promoting children’s development. In order to explore the impact of the quality of professional capacity building for kindergarten teachers and kindergarten language education activities quality on children’s language development, a study was conducted. A total of 1,584 children from 90 kindergartens in 5 provinces in China were randomly selected as research participants. Utilizing an independent sample t-test and correlation analysis (with SPSS 26.0 as the tool), the study analyzed the disparities in the professional capacity building for kindergarten teachers of different types, kindergarten language education activities quality, and the children’s language developmental levels, as well as the interrelationships among these factors. A multilevel structural equation model (using MPLUS 8.3 as the tool) was employed to analyze the mediating role that the kindergarten language education activities quality plays between the quality of professional capacity building for kindergarten teachers and children’s language development levels. The results indicate that children in public kindergartens demonstrate significantly higher language development levels than those in private kindergartens. A positive correlation exists between the quality of professional capacity building for kindergarten teachers, kindergarten language education activities quality and children’s language development levels. Furthermore, kindergarten language education activities quality shows partial mediating effects on the relationship between them. These findings highlight the need to enhance the quality of education in private kindergartens, reduce the disparities in language development levels between private and public kindergartens, and reinforce the quality of professional capacity building for kindergarten teachers to provide effective support for children’s language development. Ultimately, the study suggests concentrating on the organization and implementation of kindergarten language education activities as a means of evaluating the quality of professional capacity building for kindergarten teachers
Real-Time Stereo Vision System: A Multi-Block Matching on GPU
Real-time stereo vision is attractive in many areas such as outdoor mapping and navigation. As a popular accelerator in the image processing field, GPU is widely used for the studies of the stereo vision algorithms. Recently, many stereo vision systems on GPU have achieved low error rate, as a result of the development of deep learning. However, their processing speed is normally far from the real-time requirement. In this paper, we propose a real-time stereo vision system on GPU for the high-resolution images. This system also maintains a low error rate compared with other fast systems. In our approach, the image is resized to reduce the computational complexity and to realize the real-time processing. The low error rate is kept by using the cost aggregation with multiple blocks, secondary matching and sub-pixel estimation. Its processing speed is 41 fps for 2888×1920 pixels images when the maximum disparity is 760
