    Get PDF
This study aimed to show the satisfaction degree of government schools\u27 principals in Irbid governorate about the performance of educational counselor in the light of spreading Coronavirus, and if there were significant statistical differences due to the variables (gender, years of experience and qualification) on principals\u27 estimations for their satisfaction degree about the performance of educational counselor in the light of spreading Coronavirus. The researchers used the descriptive methodology, and the sample of the study consisted of (226) principals. To achieve the above, a questionnaire consisted of (33) items was built. The results showed that the satisfaction degree of government schools\u27 principals in Irbid governorate about the performance of educational counselor in the light of spreading Coronavirus was moderate. Furthermore the results reveal that there were no significant statistical differences in principals\u27 estimations for their satisfaction degree about the performance of educational counselor in the light of spreading Coronavirus due to the variables of the study (gender, years of experience and qualification). The researchers recommended a set of recommendations including: Holding specialized training courses for educational counselors to inform them about Online counseling

Birth of a Closed Universe of Negative Spatial Curvature

We propose a modified form of the spontaneous birth of the universe by quantum tunneling. It proceeds through topology change and inflation, to eventually become a universe with closed spatial sections of negative curvature and nontrivial global topology.Comment: 10 pages, 1 figure. Revised version with better comments on assumed topology chang

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of guided discovery supported by augmented reality technology in acquiring mathematical concepts among fourth-grade students in Jordan. The quasi-experimental approach was adobted. To achieve the goal of this research, a teacher’s guide and a mathematical concepts test were developed. The validity and reliability of instruments were confirmed. The research members consist of (40) students in the first semester of 2020/2021, They were distributed equally into two groups: the experimental group studied using the suggested strategy and the control group studied using the usual way .The results showed that there were statistically significant difference at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the acquisition of mathematical concepts in favor of the experimental group. The research recommended generalizing the experience to different subjects and conducting other new studies on different classes and variables

    Eileen Chang and cinema

The death of Eileen Chang on September 8, 1995 in Los Angeles made headlines in all the Chinese newspapers. In the Chinese-speaking areas of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Mainland China, a veritable cult of mystique has been built around her by both public media and the large number of her fans (who called themselves Chang-mi or Chang-fans”). However, in the last twenty-three years of her life Chang lived quietly and incognito in Los Angeles, shunning all social contact and escaping publicity by constantly changing her residences in numerous hotels, motels, and small apartment houses until her death in an obscure apartment building in the Westwood section of Los Angeles. This “mystery” of her last years adds only more glamour to her legend: she was like a retired movie star past her prime, like Greta Garbo

The Image of Women as Victims in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby

This paper sheds light on the image of women as victims in the male dominant society in America 1920s through critical analysis of Francis Scott Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby. The three main female characters in the narrative, Daisy Buchanan, Myrtle Wilson and Jordan Baker, are products of oppressive forces and treated by powerful men as objects rather than thoughtful beings. The belief of these characters that marriage to wealthy men is one of the few options available for women to reach success and happiness makes them fall victims to the advances of morally corrupt men who attempt to oppress and control them. The realistic depiction of women in America at that time can be read by feminists as a catalyst for change and the need to resist the patriarchal system and traditional gender roles

Non-photonic electron-hadron azimuthal correlation for AuAu, CuCu and pp collisions at sNN=200\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200 GeV

We present preliminary STAR results of azimuthal correlations between non-photonic electrons and hadrons in AuAu, CuCu and pp at sNN=200\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200 GeV. Comparison of the e-h correlations from these colliding systems allows one to study the system-size dependence of heavy quark jet-medium interactions. We also report on the relative charm and bottom contributions to non-photonic electrons extracted from correlations measured in pp collisions. Our results, when combined with RAAR_{AA} measurements of non-photonic electrons, constrain the charm and bottom energy loss in the dense medium.Comment: 4 pages 3 figures - To appear in the conference proceedings for Quark Matter 2009, March 30 - April 4, Knoxville, Tennessee. v4 has beautified figures for the CuCu and AuAu e-h correlations, no other chang
