    Web-based system for the traceability of cultivated Nile Tilapia based on ISO 12877: 2011

    Objective: Present the systematization of the nilotic tilapia cultivation process, using a computer system for traceability of production and marketing based on the ISO 12877: 2011 standard. Design/methodology/approach: A documentary and field investigation was carried out to learn about the Nile tilapia production process currently applied; Traceability monitoring was evaluated based on the case study of the Double T and Mar铆a del Carmen aquaculture farms located in the municipalities of Manzanillo and Armer铆a belonging to the state of Colima; The process was contrasted with the ISO standard and the system was developed and implemented. Results: There is a system that systematizes the registration of backward, internal and forward traceability activities in the cultivation and marketing of tilapia. The system favors food safety by registering care by lot based on the aforementioned ISO standard, thus evidencing the traceability in the cultivation and commercialization of the species. Limitations on study/implications: The results presented concern the development and implementation of the system, still requiring an evaluation of its impact on the production and commercialization of cultivated tilapia, as well as the efficiency of traceability. Findings/conclusions: The system was made, taking into account the necessary indicators for an ISO certification. In this way, apart from facilitating the registration and consultation of information, the producer company has the advantage of obtaining a certification for the aquaculture production process, generating added value to its products.Objective: To describe the systematization of the Nile tilapia cultivation process using a computer system for production and marketing traceability based on ISO 12877:2011 standard and web technologies. Limitations on study/implications: The results shown are related to the development and implementation of the system; however future work is yet to be carried out to assess its effect on the production and commercialization of farmed tilapia, as well as the efficiency of traceability. Findings/conclusions: The system was developed taking into consideration the necessary indicators for an ISO certification. Hence, aside from simplifying the registration and consultation of information, the producing company has the benefit of earning a certification for the aquaculture production process, creating additional value to its products

    Tecnol贸gico Nacional de Mexico (TecNM) is the largest High Learning Education Institution in Mexico, it contains over 25000 teachers. Due to magnitude, the high direction uses Information and Communication technologies to concentrate data and follow up to teachers and researches that participate on institutional calls. This paper describes the design and development of a software system for user profiles search on the CVU-TecNM platform, which allows query recorded data. For its development the eXtreme Programming agile methodology for software development was applied, as many usability principles to meet customer needs. To evaluate usability rate, the user interface design and performance is compared with another researcher鈥檚 directory from three institutions, using the web usability evaluation SIRIUS. On given results, the proposal reaches the higher usability percentage than the other systems, meaning on a better user experience, also had an optimal performance to get search results, enabling report generation applying many filters.El Tecnol贸gico Nacional de M茅xico (TecNM) es la mayor Instituci贸n de Educaci贸n Superior del pa铆s, su planta docente supera los 25000 profesores. Por sus dimensiones, se ha optado por el uso de las TIC con el prop贸sito de concentrar datos y dar seguimiento a docentes e investigadores que participen en convocatorias de la Direcci贸n General. Ante esto, el presente trabajo describe el dise帽o y desarrollo de un sistema para la b煤squeda de perfiles de usuario en el m贸dulo administrativo de la plataforma CVUTecNM, el cual permitir谩 consultar la informaci贸n registrada de estos. Este sistema se desarroll贸 empleando la metodolog铆a 谩gil XP, en conjunto con la aplicaci贸n de principios de usabilidad para satisfacer los requerimientos del cliente. La usabilidad de 茅ste se evalu贸 comparando el dise帽o de interfaz de usuario y el rendimiento con otros directorios de investigadores de tres instituciones, usando el framework SIRUS para la evaluaci贸n de usabilidad web. Como resultado, el sistema propuesto alcanz贸 un mayor porcentaje de usabilidad que los otros sistemas, lo que se traduce en una mejora de la experiencia de usuario, as铆 como un rendimiento 贸ptimo en la obtenci贸n de resultados, permitiendo la elaboraci贸n de reportes generales aplicando diversos filtros
