The stress caused by social distancing, fear of contagion and economic problems have increased psychological and emotional problems. Given this, the management of Emotional Intelligence (EI) plays an important role during the course of the disease. The design of this study was quantitative, descriptive and observational; the objective was to identify how adults handled their EI when they suffered from COVID-19; the TMMS-24 questionnaire was administered from June 2021 to January 2022 and 105 people of different ages were included. Data on the management of EI in those people who had Covid-19 were analyzed. In conclusion, women were the most affected with respect to their EI when facing Covid-19 and should improve the attention to their emotions regarding themselves and others.La Covid-19, causada por el virus SARS-CoV-2, es una enfermedad que inici贸 en Wuhan, China en 2019 causando desde infecciones asintom谩ticas hasta casos graves como neumon铆a.
