On the exact continuous mapping of fermions

We derive a rigorous, quantum mechanical map of fermionic creation and annihilation operators to continuous Cartesian variables that exactly reproduces the matrix structure of the many-fermion problem. We show how our scheme can be used to map a general many-fermion Hamiltonian and then consider two specific models that encode the fundamental physics of many fermionic systems, the Anderson impurity and Hubbard models. We use these models to demonstrate how efficient mappings of these Hamiltonians can be constructed using a judicious choice of index ordering of the fermions. This development provides an alternative exact route to calculate the static and dynamical properties of fermionic systems and sets the stage to exploit the quantum-classical and semiclassical hierarchies to systematically derive methods offering a range of accuracies, thus enabling the study of problems where the fermionic degrees of freedom are coupled to complex anharmonic nuclear motion and spins which lie beyond the reach of most currently available methods.Comment: 7-page manuscript (2 figures) with 11-page supplemental materia

.Una pequeña pero antigua experiencia de nuestro país CREI-Sants (Centro de Recursos Educativos y de Investigación del barrio de Sants) intenta a través del Arte y de la Creatividad ayudar al desarrollo de la persona y muy especialmente de la persona que por la causa que sea presenta algún tipo de discapacidad. El teatro es, sin duda, el instrumento que ha servido y sirve mejor a nuestros objetivos. Presentar esta experiencia a través de la Cía. de teatro BCN Doble de CREI-Sants, exponer nuestras preocupaciones en relación a la comunicación con nuestro entorno, señalar nuestras líneas de investigación y realizar algunas reflexiones sobre teatro, teatro y comunicación, teatro y discapacidad es la pretensión, única, de estas páginas que esperamos nos sirvan de contacto con personas e instituciones que se dedican o están interesadas en el mismo objeto de estudio

CREI-Sants: un model multiintervinent i contextual per a la formació de mestres d'Educació Especial

Crei-Sants ("Centro de Recursos Educativos y de Investigación del Barrio de Sants") est un service gratuit que l'Université de Barcelona met á la portée du quartier de Sants par le biais de rEscola de Formació del Professorat" (Ecole Normale). Ce service s'ocupe de l'aide aux enfants handicapés qui ne peuvent pas suivre leur scolarité avec le rythme et l'efficacité nécessaires. Le modèle CreiSants présume que le futur enseignant peut faire un travail pratique sur la réalité, au moyen d'observations systématiques avec ses formateurs qui appliquent aussi bien des processus d'évaluation diagnostique que des traitements et des programmes educativs thérapeutiques. Ce travail integre, en outre, des professeurs en service, des parents d'éleves, et d'autres professionneIs. Ce modele ressemble en quelque sorte au Modele Inset appliqué a l'Université de Leeds, avec laquelle il a d'ex-cellents rapports. En résumé, CreiSants veut intégrer la théorie et la pratique, la formation initiale et la formation permanente, I'en-seignement et la recherche. Il peut etre considéré comme un modele contextuel écologique a l'intérieur des nouveaux courants de recherche ethnographique.Crei-Sants (Sants Neighborhood Center for Educational Resources and Research) is a free service that the University of Barcelona (Department of Education) makes available to the neighborhood where it is located, through the Teachers' School. Specifically, the service attempts to help children with any type of handicap who are unable to move through the schooling process with the necessary speed and efficay. The CreiSants model assumes that the future teacher will practice in actuality, through systematic observation together with his/her professors who are applying them, processes of diagnostic evaluation as well as therapeutic educational programs and treatments. This work involves teachers on the job, parents and other professionals. This model bears a certain similarity to the Inset model practiced at Leeds University, with which we maintain a close relationship. In summary, Crei-Sants tries to coordinate theory and practice, initial and ongoing training, teaching and research. It could be understood as an ecological contextual model within the new trends in ethnographic research.Crei-Sants (Centro de Recursos Educativos y de Investigación del Barrio de Sants) es un servicio gratuito que la Universidad de Barcelona (División de Educación) pone, a través de la Escuela de Maestros, a disposición del barrio donde se ubica. El servicio trata, específicamente, de ayudar a los niños que con cualquier tipo de problema, no siguen la escolaridad con el ritmo y la eficacia que serían necesarios. El modelo Crei-Sants supone que el futuro maestro practica en la realidad, a través de observaciones sistematizadas con sus profesores que aplican tanto procesos de evaluación diagnóstica como tratamientos y programas educativoterapéuticos. En este trabajo se integran, además, maestros en servicio, padres y otros profesionales. Este modelo guarda una cierta semejanza con el Modelo In Inset practicado en la Universidad de Leeds con el que mantenemos una buena relación. En síntesis, Crei-Sants trata de coordinar la teoría y la práctica, la formación inicial y la permanente, la docencia y la investigación. La equidad de género en Educación Física: Influencia de los medios de comunicación

El objetivo de la presente investigación es valorar la información vinculada con la actividad físico- deportiva transmitida al alumnado por los medios de comunicación de masas y su influencia en la construcción equitativa del género, dentro de las sesiones prácticas de Educación Física en la etapa de Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria. Para ello se aplicó un cuestionario ad hoc a una muestra de 198 estudiantes. La validez del instrumento se analizó por tres medios distintos: estadísticamente, grupo de expertos y prueba piloto. La fiabilidad se determinó a través del Coeficiente Alpha de Cronbach, que arrojó un valor de .703. Con los datos obtenidos, se realizó una estadística descriptiva y un análisis discriminante (cluster), en ambos casos por género. Los resultados muestran conductas sexistas en los medios de comunicación de masas, tanto cualitativas como cuantitativas, en los modelos presentados, la actitud deportiva vinculada a cada género, el interés deportivo y el consumo televisivo por género. En conclusión, se señala a los medios de comunicación de masas como un factor de influencia en la construcción equitativa del género de nuestro alumnadoGender equity in Physical Education: influence of the media. The aim of this study is to assess information related to physical activity and sport transmitted to our students by the media and its influence on the construction of gender equality within the practical sessions of Physical Education at the stage of secondary education. To this end, an ad hoc questionnaire was applied to a sample of 198 students. The validity of the instrument was analyzed by three different methods: statistically, group of experts and pilot testing. The reliability was established using the Cronbach Alpha coefficient. Alpha value for the scale formed by the items applied to the sample of students from under study was .703. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and discriminant analysis (cluster), in both cases by gender. The results show sexist behavior in the media, both qualitative and quantitative, in the models, sporting attitude linked to each sex, sports interest and television consumption by gender.
