    Análise do conhecimento dos profissionais de enfermagem em relação à higienização das mãos

    Background and Objectives: Given the importance of the knowledge and practice of hand hygiene in the perspective of nursing, we aimed to analyze the knowledge of nursing professionals in the hospital environment about hand hygiene. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study which was developed with 159 nursing professionals. Data were collected through the application of questionnaire "Knowledge Test on Hand Hygiene for health professionals" and then analyzed was descriptive and analytical. Results: The professionals recognized the cross-transmission route of microorganism (96,9%). There was a statistically significant difference between the units regarding the minimum time for alcohol preparation in the actions before the patient's contact (p=0.018), after arriving at the unit after lunch (p=0.014), before applying injection (p=0.077), before emptying the urine (p=0.020) and withdrawing from the patient (p=0.002). Regarding the actions of both units to avoid contamination, presented statistical difference before performing aseptic procedure (p=0.013). Conclusion: the study showed the nursing staff had that the workers had knowledge about the subject, however, it is necessary to produce technologies that allow health professional to rethink their practices since joining the institution.Justificación y Objetivos: Ante la importancia del conocimiento y de la práctica de la higiene de las manos en la perspectiva de la enfermería, se pretendió analizar el conocimiento de los enfermeros em le ámbito hospitalário sobre la higiene de las manos. Métodos: Estudio transversal, desarrollado en un hospital, con 159 profesionales de enfermería. Datos fueron recopilados mediante la aplicación del cuestionario “Teste de Conocimiento a Respecto de la Higienización de las Manos para profesionales de la salud” y analizados utilizando estadística descriptiva y analítica. Resultados: Los profesionales reconocieron la rota de transmisión cruzada de micro-oeganismos (96,9%). Se evidenció diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre unidades en cuanto al tiempo mínimo para preparación alcohólica en las acciones antes del contacto con el paciente (p = 0,018), al llegar a la unidad después del almuerzo (p = 0,014), antes de la aplicación de la inyección (p = 0,014), antes de la aplicación de la inyección (p=0,077), antes de vaciar el urinol (p = 0,020) y al alejarse del paciente (p = 0,002). En cuanto a las acciones de ambas unidades para evitar la contaminación, presentó diferencia estadística antes de realizar procedimiento aséptico (p = 0,013). Conclusiones: el estudio demostró que el equipo de enfermería poseía sin eembargo, hace necesario que sean producidas tecnologías que permitan al profesional de salud repensar sus prácticas desde su ingreso en la institución.Justificativa e Objetivos: Diante da importância do conhecimento e da prática da higiene das mãos na perspectiva da enfermagem, objetivou-se analisar o conhecimento dos profissionais de enfermagem no âmbito hospitalar quanto à higienização das mãos em unidades abertas e fechadas. Métodos: Estudo descritivo, do tipo transversal, desenvolvido em um hospital da região Noroeste do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, com 159 profissionais de enfermagem. Os dados foram coletados com a aplicação do questionário “Teste de Conhecimento a Respeito da Higienização das Mãos para profissionais da saúde” validado pela Organização Mundial da Saúde, e analisados por meio de estatística descritiva, teste de hipótese do Qui-quadrado de Pearson e Exato de Fischer, considerando estatisticamente significativo
