Tablas de contingencia para la enseñanza del concepto de asociación entre variables aleatorias cualitativas

Este trabajo presenta una propuesta didáctica que pretende facilitar a los estudiantes de grado once del Colegio Saludcoop Sur I.E.D, la construcción del concepto de asociación estadística entre variables cualitativas en tablas de contingencias 2X2; y por otra parte ayudarles en el análisis de las diferentes probabilidades que pueden ser calculadas a partir de frecuencias absolutas, y marginales por filas o por columnas. La propuesta incluye el diseño de objetos virtuales de aprendizaje y un modelo geométrico que permite calcular las probabilidades esperadas de eventos estadísticamente independientes.Abstract. This work presents a didactic proposal that aims to facilitate to then students of the eleventh grade at Colegio Saludcoop Sur I.E.D, the construction of the concept of statistical association between qualitative variables in tables of contingencies 2X2; on the other hand to help them in the analysis of the different probabilities that can be calculated from absolute frequencies and marginal, frequencies by rows or by columns. Factors Associated with Suicide Attempts and Suicides in the General Population of Andalusia (Spain)

Discrepant results have been published by studies comparing deaths by suicide with attempted suicides. This study aimed to determine factors associated with suicides and attempted suicides in Andalusia (Spain) between 2007 and 2013, comparing sex, age, year, and suicide method between these populations. A retrospective study was conducted of data on deaths by suicide and attempted suicides over a seven-year period, calculating the sex and age rates for each behavior. Adjusted Poisson regression was used to analyze the association with study variables, and incidence rate ratios were estimated. During the seven-year study period, 20,254 attempted suicides and 5202 deaths by suicide were recorded. The prevalence of attempted suicide did not differ between the sexes, whereas the prevalence of deaths by suicide was three-fold higher among males than among females and increased with higher age. The most frequently used method was the same in males and females for suicide attempts, but differed between the sexes for suicides. The combined influence of sex and age was greater in the model for death by suicide than in the model for attempted suicide. The key differentiating factor was the method used, while the finding of greatest concern was the suicide behavior among the elderly. Preventive strategies should take these differences into account

Suicide attempts in Spain according to prehospital healthcare emergency records

Objective To analyze the number and characteristics of suicide attempts by reviewing records of the public emergency healthcare service information system. Method A retrospective observational study was conducted of emergency telephone calls received between January 1 2007 and December 31 2013 throughout the Andalusia region (Southern Spain). Cases were selected based on phone operator or healthcare team labeling. Data were analyzed on the characteristics of the individuals, the timing and severity of attempts, their prioritization, and their outcome. Results Between January 1 2007 and December 31 2013, 20.942 calls related to suicide attempts were recorded, a rate of 34.7 attempts per 100,000 inhabitants. Most cases were classified by the public emergency healthcare service (Empresa Pública de Emergencias Sanitarias, EPES) as code X84 (The International Statistical Classification of Diseases, tenth revision, ICD-10) or 305(The International Statistical Classification of Diseases, ninth revision, ICD- 9). Attempts were more frequent in the 35-49-year age group and there were similar proportions of males and females. The lowest number of calls for suicide attempts were in 2007 and the highest in 2013. Calls were more frequent during the summer months, at weekends, and between 16:00 and 23:00 h. The likelihood of evacuation to the hospital emergency department was almost two-fold lower in over 65-yr-olds than in younger individuals. Significant (ƿ = 0.001) gender differences were found in call outcome and prioritization. The most influential factor for evacuation to a hospital emergency department was the code assigned by the attending healthcare team. Conclusions Information obtained from extra-hospital emergency services provides valuable data on the characteristics and timing of calls related to suicide attempts, complementing information from hospital emergency departments or population surveys. La investigación denominada “Administración en Recursos Humanos en cruceros” correspondió al estudio académico y científico que se abordó desde el programa de trabajo de grado misión empresarial, adscrita al programa de Administración de Empresas, perteneciente a la Universidad del Rosario de Colombia. El estudio se realizó en el año 2017, y tuvo como objetivo central la revisión del talento humano al personal que trabaja a bordo del crucero Enchantment of the Seas, que están registrados en la empresa Royal Caribbean International como crucero tipo Vision. La metodología empleada fue cuantitativa, con enfoque cuantitativo-exploratorio, con una población de 7 personas trabajadoras a bordo del crucero. Los instrumentos que se emplearon fueron el cuestionario y la observación sistemática, con el fin de recabar la mayor cantidad de información que permitiera determinar y validar lo propuesto en el planteamiento del problema.The research named "Administration in Human Resources in Cruises" corresponded to the academic and scientific study that was addressed from the business mission degree work program, attached to the Business Administration program, belonging to the Universidad del Rosario de Colombia. The study was conducted in 2017, and its main objective was to review the human talent of the personnel working on board the cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas, who are registered with Royal Caribbean International as a Vision cruise. The methodology used was quantitative, with a quantitative-exploratory approach, with a population of 7 workers on board the cruise. The instruments that were used were the questionnaire and systematic observation, in order to gather as much information as possible to determine and validate the proposed approach to the problem

Centro pedagógico de actividad física, lúdico-deportiva y cultural de la jornada nocturna del colegio distrital Magdalena Ortega de Nariño.

La propuesta pedagógica presentada en este documento se fundamenta con el ideal de la integración social. Con la creación de ocho espacios diferentes que fueron presentados mediante ofertas, y por elección propia de cada uno los estudiantes, que de acuerdo a sus intereses escogieron para participar en las clases se educación física. Es de esta manera como también se promueven los valores, el gusto por las actividades físicas y culturales y el afianzamiento de las relaciones interpersonales.The pedagogical proposal in this document is based on the ideal of social integration. With the creation of eight different areas were presented with offers, and by choice of each of the students according to their interests chose to participate in physical education classes.
