Evidence for hadronic deconfinement in -p collisions at 1.8 TeV
We have measured deconfined hadronic volumes, fm,
produced by a one dimensional (1D) expansion. These volumes are directly
proportional to the charged particle pseudorapidity densities . The hadronization temperature is (syst)
MeV. Using Bjorken's 1D model, the hadronization energy density is (stat) GeV/fm corresponding to an excitation of (stat) quark-gluon degrees of freedom.Comment: 15 pages, 3 figures, 2 table

Very high energy proton proton interactions: exploratory survey in a bubble chamber
We propose a bubble chamber study of the general features of proton-proton interactions in the 200 to 500 GeV energy range in as much detail as measuring accuracy permits, starting with charged particle multiplicities, transverse and longitudinal momentum distributions, and detailed measurement of particle systems originating from the target proton, and extending to an exploration of the possibility of doing some four-constraint or equivalent kinematic analysis of complete events. A scanning search for any new or exotic phenomena is an important part of this proposal. We request 100,000 pictures initially in a 2 meter or 14 foot hydrogen bubble chamber, with 200 GeV or greater proton beam, {delta}p/p{le} .1%, {delta}{theta} {le} 2 mrad, and both tolerances better, if possible

Neutrino interactions in the deuterium-neon 14 foot double bubble chamber
We propose to study the interactions of high energy neutrinos in the 14 foot bubble chamber. The target chamber to be filled with Deuterium and the surrounding region filled with nearly pure Neon. An exposure of one million pictures is requested, in order to map out the s and t dependences of the basic interaction in which neutrinos participate
Phenomenological model for the Kbar N --> K Xi reaction
A phenomenological model for the Kbar N --> K Xi reaction is suggested. The
model includes s and u channel exchanges by Lambda, Sigma, Sigma(1385), and
Lambda(1520) and s channel exchanges by above-threshold hyperonic resonances.
Explicit expression for the propagator for a particle with spin 7/2 is
presented. High-mass and high-spin resonances play a significant role in the
process. We deal with the whole set of existing experimental data on the cross
sections and polarizations in the energy range from the threshold to 2.8 GeV in
the center-of-mass system and reach a good agreement with experiments.
Applications of the model to other elementary reactions of Xi production and to
Xi hypernuclear spectroscopy are briefly discussed.Comment: Published version; minor change

Study of the isospin properties of single-pion production by neutrinos. [1. 5 GeV]
Results are presented on the three single-pion production reactions ..nu..P-..mu../sup -/P..pi../sup +/, ..nu..n-..mu../sup -/n..pi../sup +/, and ..nu..n-..mu../sup -/P..pi../sup 0/. Measurements were made from threshold to a neutrino energy of 1.5 GeV using the Argonne National Laboratory 12-foot bubble chamber filled with deuterium and exposed to a broad band neutrino beam. In addition to a resonant isospin I = 3/2 N/sub ..pi../ amplitude, a large I = 1/2 amplitude was found as predicted by Adler

NAL bubble chamber proposal: K-p and p anti-p interactions at 200 GeV
We propose to study K{sup -}p and {bar p}p interactions at 200 GeV in the hydrogen filled NAL 30'' bubble chamber with a supplementary visual spectrometer. We request 200,000 pictures. This exposure is intended as a follow up experiment to our proposal ''Multiparticle {pi}{sup -}p Interactions at 130 GeV and at the Highest Energy'' of April 23, 1971
