Research advances in Risaralda. An overview of 8 experiences

I am honored to present to you this remarkable book, a testament to the invaluable research conducted in the fields of Health, Law, Engineering, and Administrative Sciences. Each chapter within these pages represents the culmination of extensive investigations carried out by dedicated scholars affiliated with the Red Universitaria de Risaralda (RUN), a network comprising 15 esteemed higher education institutions. Risaralda has emerged as a thriving hub for higher education, bolstered by its strategic geographical location, high quality of life, rich biodiversity, and competitive development. Today, Pereira ranks third in the index of university cities, with a student enrollment rate exceeding 63%. Close to 50,000 students pursue academic programs within the department. Notably, three institutions have achieved accreditation for their excellence in education, positioning Risaralda among the most competitive regions in terms of accredited academic programs. As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Red Universitaria de Risaralda in 2023, it is with great pride that we reflect on its pivotal role in fostering collaboration among public and private higher education institutions. Our mission has been twofold: attracting students to our region and supporting sustainable development and quality of life for our community. Narrativas acerca de la relación de parejas en cuatro sordos de la ciudad de Barrancabermeja

Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar las narrativas personales construidas frente a la vivencia de la relación de pareja en dos hombres y dos mujeres, adultos jóvenes en condición de sordera, residentes en la ciudad de Barrancabermeja. Se trató de una investigación cualitativa y un diseño narrativo, en la que se recogió la información a través de una entrevista semi-estructurada, aplicada en dos sesiones. Los hallazgos indicaron que una relación de pareja representa la posibilidad de experimentar un crecimiento personal que trasciende las barreras de la discapacidad, además de la oportunidad para expresarse de manera autentica, sin temor a ser juzgados, señalados o rechazados por su condición de sordera; sin embargo, la vivencia de la misma no ha superado la fase del enamoramiento. Los participantes valoran positivamente la seguridad emocional que encuentran en la compañía de la pareja y esperan desarrollar la capacidad para fortalecer y mejorar los procesos comunicativos que promuevan la construcción de la intimidad en sus futuras relaciones de pareja. En el plano familiar, se observó la actitud indiferente de la mayoría de los miembros de la familia, al igual que la falta de apoyo institucional especializado para la condición de sordera, lo que entorpece el proceso de socialización del sordo.This research aimed to analyze personal narratives built against the experience of the relationship of two men and two women, young adults on condition of deafness, residents in the city of Barrancabermeja. It was a qualitative research design and a narrative in which the information was collected through a semi-structured interview, applied in two sessions. The findings indicated that a relationship represents the possibility of a personal growth experience that transcends the barriers of disability, plus the opportunity to express themselves authentically, without fear of being judged, marked or rejected by their condition of deafness; however, the experience of it has not passed the stage of infatuation. Participants positively value the emotional security they find in the company of the couple and hope to develop the ability to strengthen and improve communication processes that promote the construction of privacy in their future relationships. At the family level, the indifferent attitude of most members of the family, like the lack of specialized deafness provided institutional support was observed, which hinders the process of socialization of deaf

Bajo el signo de la luz : la fundación de una utopía andaluza

Esta publicación obtuvo el Primer Premio Joaquín Guichot a investigaciones, experiencias y materiales sobre Andalucía y su cultura en la edición XXVI del curso 2013/2014Se trata de un proyecto intercentros en el que se pretende convertir en aula a la comunidad. Nace para dar respuesta a las inquietudes de un alumnado y una población que ignoran, en buena medida, sus orígenes y los de sus antepasados. Como respuesta a esa necesidad, se vuelve sobre las huellas del tiempo para descubrir la epopeya de las nuevas poblaciones de Sierra Morena y Andalucía; una iniciativa que respondió a los ideales del Siglo de las Luces y a la necesidad de poblar los extensos terrenos que bordeaban el Camino Real. Con el formato de aprendizaje-servicio a la comunidad, el alumnado descubrirá que sus raíces culturales, sus apellidos y tradiciones, lejos de los localismos, provienen de Europa Central y suponen un ejemplo de integración cultural. "Bajo el signo de la luz" va más allá y sueña con llevar la utopía a la educación e intenta convertirse en un paradigma de integración del trabajo de Educación Infantil, Primaria y Secundaria, o de cualesquiera otras enseñanzas, y se apoya en el deseo idealista de dar a conocer la cultura andaluza al alumnado de nuestra Comunidad Autónoma.AndalucíaES
