La aplicación de un procedimiento para la determinación y evaluación de los fallos en el proceso de donación de sangre total del Banco de Sangre Provincial de Villa Clara, permitió caracterizar este proceso, identificar sus variables críticas, proporcionar las bases para proponer nuevos puntos críticos de control y establecer las acciones necesarias para la reducción o eliminación de las fallas detectadas; contribuyéndose a garantizar la calidad y seguridad de la sangre y hemocomponentes y el aumento de la satisfacción de los servicios de transfusión hospitalarios y pacientes, lo cual constituye una necesidad para el logro de la seguridad transfusional. The application of a procedure for the determination and evaluation of the shortcomings in the process of donation of total blood of the Bank of Provincial Blood of Villa Clara, allowed to characterize this process, to identify her critical variables, to provide the bases to propose new critical points of control and to establish the necessary actions for the reduction or elimination of the detected flaws; being contributed to guarantee the quality and security of the blood and hemocomponentes and to the increase of the satisfaction of the hospital and patient transfusion services that which constitutes a necessity for the achievement of the transfusional security. </em&gt

El problema de enrutamiento de vehículos ha sido ampliamente estudiado por diferentes autores, generalmente especialistas en las áreas de la Investigación de Operaciones y la Logística. En ocasiones este problema se hace tan complejo que requiere algoritmos que encuentren su solución en tiempo factible y con adecuada calidad. Diversas investigaciones científicas han mostrado el uso efectivo de algoritmos heurísticos en problemas reales de enrutamiento de grandes dimensiones. Por otra parte, en un grupo no menos importante de investigaciones, se evidencian valiosas soluciones con algoritmos exactos y aproximados (los aproximados no serán abordados en esta investigación) aplicados a problemas de dimensiones inferiores. Es por ello que la motivación fundamental de esta investigación conduce a realizar un análisis previo a la optimización concreta de problemas reales de enrutamiento, con la finalidad de conocer en qué grupo de algoritmos (exactos o heurísticos) estará la posible solución de los mismos. En el trabajo se propone el uso de Análisis Discriminante, con vista a clasificar el área de solución para problemas reales de enrutamiento de vehículos en empresas cubanas. The Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) has been extensively studied by different authors, often specialists in the areas of Operations Research and Logistics. Sometimes this problem is so complex that it requires algorithms to find feasible solution in time with adequate quality. Several researches have shown the effective use of heuristic algorithms on vehicle routing for large dimension problem. Moreover, in a not least important researches solutions are demonstrated with exact and approximate algorithms (the approximate not be addressed in this research) applied to problems with lower dimensions. For that reason the aim is to make an analysis before optimization process of real VRP in order to know which group of algorithms (exact or heuristic) will be the possible solution of them. The paper proposes <a name="OLE_LINK25"></a><a name="OLE_LINK24">Discriminate Analysis</a> in order to classify the solution area for a real VRP in Cuban Enterprise.</p&gt

Seed Banks and agricultural farms benefit greatly from plant in vitro Culture techniques, for their rapid propagation processes and the production of desease-free plantlets. However, the production and commercialization process can fail and it is not as successful l as it was supposed to. The objective of this study is to identify potential failure modes at the acclimatiztion stage of plantlets to ex vitro conditions at Estación Territorial de Investigaciones de la Caña de Azúcar de Villa Clara (ETICA). A methodology of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) was applied. A value of 80 or higher was determined to be the Risk Priority Number (RPN) and the more relevant failure modes were defined a t the acclimatization and commercialization stages and ground rules and assumptions were established in order to prevent and control failure modes of the process. The study and implementation of the methodology to other processes at ETICA is strongly recommended

Requirements of in vitro plantlets produced in a biofactory

The objective of the work was establishing the requirements of quality in in vitro sugarcane plantlets in the adaptation stage aimed to determine the nomina l values of the characteristics of substitute quality for this crop. It was used the cultivar C86-51, after t he rooting stage, being the one that was in existence in that period. The percentage of survival and loss was determi ned, coinciding with the transplant stage to the field where the greatest percentage of survival was reached by in vitro plantlets with size from 5 to 7 cm. To develop this work tools of quality like interviews, surveys, ex perts’ method and brain storming applying statisticians that determined the defined characteristics for t he realization of the study.
