O Rebocador Florida (1908-1917): o nascimento de um sítio arqueológico subaquático no litoral Pernambucano com cara de museu

The The work presents the entrance of the Florida steam tug in the category of underwater archaeological site of shipwreck, whose sinking occurred in the sea adjacent to the coast of Pernambuco on June 28, 1917. Its official rite of passage, as a submerged cultural heritage of the Pernambuco coast, occurs due to the 2001 Paris Convention. Florida is part of the Pernambuco Shipwreck Park that contemplates something about 50 scientifically exploitable vessels of different classes, size, propulsion, material and varied construction techniques, from the 17th century to the XXI. In this context it is diagnosed the factor causing its shipwreck, identified accessories and apparatuses still visible and described the tragic maritime history of its crew, aiming at the possible creation of a submerged museum in situ

Estudos das causas dos naufrágios em Pernambuco pertencentes à Companhia Pernambucana de Navegação Costeira por Vapor (1854-1908)

The present work is a study about cause factors of wrecks of some ships belonging to Companhia Pernambucana de Navegação Costeira por Vapor, that aiming to understand for what reasons such accidents occurred, considering that steam navigation in the 19th century, configured itself as a great, efficient and agile invention. Its main purpose is to quantify, identify and locate the shipwrecks, as well evaluate, critically, the cause factors of the Company’s shipwrecks that occurred off the coast of Pernambuco. The work’s methodology was basically the realization of an extensive historical and archeological research about the shipwreck’s sites. This research aimed to understand the reasons why few shipping companies acted in Brazil during the 19th century, as well contributes to future researches on causative factors of steamship wrecks and their criteria of abandonment.O presente trabalho trata do estudo dos fatores causadores de naufrágios de alguns navios pertencentes à Companhia Pernambucana de Navegação Costeira por Vapor (CPNCV) que busca compreender por quais motivos ocorreram tais acidentes marítimos tendo em vista que a navegação a vapor, no século XIX, configurava-se como um invento de ponta, eficiente e ágil. Tem como objetivo principal quantificar, identificar e localizar os sítios de naufrágios, além de avaliar, criticamente, os fatores causadores de cada um dos naufrágios da CPNCV ocorridos no litoral de Pernambuco. A metodologia do trabalho consistiu na realização de uma ampla pesquisa de cunho histórico e arqueológico sobre os naufrágios. Esta pesquisa buscou compreender os motivos pelos quais poucas empresas de navegação atuaram no Brasil durante o período oitocentista, assim como contribuir para futuras pesquisas acerca dos fatores causadores de naufrágios de navios a vapor e seus critérios de abandono

Sítios com pinturas rupestres em Buíque, Venturosa e Pedra, Pernambuco, Brasil, no contexto da geopaisagem

Resumo O artigo tem como objetivo relacionar a geopaisagem e os sítios arqueológicos com pinturas rupestres dos municípios de Venturosa, Pedra e Buíque, a partir da análise e interpretação de dados geológicos, geomorfológicos, morfoestratigráficos e da distribuição espacial. A relação entre a paisagem dos espaços estudados, tendo em vista as transformações ocorridas ao longo do tempo com os sítios arqueológicos, permite ao pesquisador compreender a dinâmica da adaptação do homem ao meio ambiente e da escolha dos sítios, o que pode estar relacionada aos aspectos da paisagem. Esta análise busca expor a lógica de apropriação do meio natural pelos grupos humanos que habitaram aquelas regiões em tempos pretéritos
