SUSY-induced FCNC top-quark processes at the Large Hadron Collider
We systematically calculate various flavor-changing neutral-current top-quark processes induced by supersymmetry at the Large Hadron Collider, which include five decay modes and six production channels. To reveal the characteristics of these processes, we first compare the dependence of the rates for these channels on the relevant supersymmetric parameters, then we scan the whole parameter space to find their maximal rates, including all the direct and indirect current experimental constraints on the scharm-stop flavor mixings. We find that, under all these constraints, only a few channels, through cg->t at parton-level and t-> ch, may be observable at the Large Hadron Collider
Flavor changing scalar couplings and production at hadron colliders
We calculate the contributions of the flavor changing scalar ()
couplings arised from topcolor-assisted technicolor () models at
tree-level to the and production at the Tevatron and
experiments. We find that the production cross sections are very small at the
Tevatron with , which is smaller than 5 fb in most of the
parameter space of models. However, the virtual effects of the
couplings on the production can be easily detected at the
with via the final state

Regularization of point vortices for the Euler equation in dimension two
In this paper, we construct stationary classical solutions of the
incompressible Euler equation approximating singular stationary solutions of
this equation.
This procedure is carried out by constructing solutions to the following
elliptic problem [ -\ep^2 \Delta
u=(u-q-\frac{\kappa}{2\pi}\ln\frac{1}{\ep})_+^p, \quad & x\in\Omega, u=0, \quad
& x\in\partial\Omega, ] where , is a bounded
domain, is a harmonic function.
We showed that if is simply-connected smooth domain, then for any
given non-degenerate critical point of Kirchhoff-Routh function
with the same strength , there is a
stationary classical solution approximating stationary points vortex
solution of incompressible Euler equations with vorticity .
Existence and asymptotic behavior of single point non-vanishing vortex
solutions were studied by D. Smets and J. Van Schaftingen (2010).Comment: 32page
Higgs boson production in photon-photon collision at ILC: a comparative study in different little Higgs models
We study the process \gamma\gamma->h->bb_bar at ILC as a probe of different
little Higgs models, including the simplest little Higgs model (SLH), the
littlest Higgs model (LH), and two types of littlest Higgs models with T-parity
(LHT-I, LHT-II). Compared with the Standard Model (SM) prediction, the
production rate is found to be sizably altered in these little Higgs models
and, more interestingly, different models give different predictions. We find
that the production rate can be possibly enhanced only in the LHT-II for some
part of the parameter space, while in all other cases the rate is suppressed.
The suppression can be 10% in the LH and as much as 60% in both the SLH and the
LHT-I/LHT-II. The severe suppression in the SLH happens for a large \tan\beta
and a small m_h, in which the new decay mode h->\eta\eta (\eta is a light
pseudo-scalar) is dominant; while for the LHT-I/LHT-II the large suppression
occurs when f and m_h are both small so that the new decay mode h->A_H A_H is
dominant. Therefore, the precision measurement of such a production process at
the ILC will allow for a test of these models and even distinguish between
different scenarios.Comment: Version in JHEP (h-g-g & h-gamma-gamma expressions added
New measurement of via neutron capture on hydrogen at Daya Bay
This article reports an improved independent measurement of neutrino mixing
angle at the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment. Electron
antineutrinos were identified by inverse -decays with the emitted
neutron captured by hydrogen, yielding a data-set with principally distinct
uncertainties from that with neutrons captured by gadolinium. With the final
two of eight antineutrino detectors installed, this study used 621 days of data
including the previously reported 217-day data set with six detectors. The
dominant statistical uncertainty was reduced by 49%. Intensive studies of the
cosmogenic muon-induced Li and fast neutron backgrounds and the
neutron-capture energy selection efficiency, resulted in a reduction of the
systematic uncertainty by 26%. The deficit in the detected number of
antineutrinos at the far detectors relative to the expected number based on the
near detectors yielded in the
three-neutrino-oscillation framework. The combination of this result with the
gadolinium-capture result is also reported.Comment: 26 pages, 23 figure
A new measurement of antineutrino oscillation with the full detector configuration at Daya Bay
We report a new measurement of electron antineutrino disappearance using the
fully-constructed Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment. The final two of eight
antineutrino detectors were installed in the summer of 2012. Including the 404
days of data collected from October 2012 to November 2013 resulted in a total
exposure of 6.910 GW-ton-days, a 3.6 times increase over
our previous results. Improvements in energy calibration limited variations
between detectors to 0.2%. Removal of six Am-C radioactive
calibration sources reduced the background by a factor of two for the detectors
in the experimental hall furthest from the reactors. Direct prediction of the
antineutrino signal in the far detectors based on the measurements in the near
detectors explicitly minimized the dependence of the measurement on models of
reactor antineutrino emission. The uncertainties in our estimates of
and were halved as a result of these
improvements. Analysis of the relative antineutrino rates and energy spectra
between detectors gave and eV in the three-neutrino
framework.Comment: Updated to match final published versio

Observation and study of the decay
We report the observation and study of the decay
using events
collected with the BESIII detector. Its branching fraction, including all
possible intermediate states, is measured to be
. We also report evidence for a structure,
denoted as , in the mass spectrum in the GeV/
region. Using two decay modes of the meson ( and

performed. Assuming the quantum numbers of the to be , its
significance is found to be 4.4, with a mass and width of MeV/ and MeV, respectively, and a
product branching fraction
. Alternatively, assuming , the
significance is 3.8, with a mass and width of MeV/ and MeV, respectively, and a product
branching fraction

measurements the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.Comment: 10 pages, 6 figures and 4 table
