Astronomical Distance Determination in the Space Age: Secondary Distance Indicators

The formal division of the distance indicators into primary and secondary leads to difficulties in description of methods which can actually be used in two ways: with, and without the support of the other methods for scaling. Thus instead of concentrating on the scaling requirement we concentrate on all methods of distance determination to extragalactic sources which are designated, at least formally, to use for individual sources. Among those, the Supernovae Ia is clearly the leader due to its enormous success in determination of the expansion rate of the Universe. However, new methods are rapidly developing, and there is also a progress in more traditional methods. We give a general overview of the methods but we mostly concentrate on the most recent developments in each field, and future expectations. © 2018, The Author(s)

O SIGNIFICADO DA ADMINISTRAÇÃO APLICADA À ENFERMAGEM SEGUNDO A OPINIÃO DE GRADUANDAS: PARTE II

The objective of this study was to know the opinions about the significance, felt by the students of the Nursing School of the University of São Paulo, at the end of the theoretical part of the course of administration applied to nursing practice. Therefore the opinion of 30 students at 8th semester of the Nursing School has been colected. The results demonstrated that the students understood, the administration applied to nursing practice, as an instrument for the nurses work and to increase the quality of assistance, as well as for the development of the nursing staff and, the administrative functions as a role which has to be developped in the nursing professional practice.Este estudo teve por objetivo conhecer as impressões de um grupo de alunas do 8o semestre da EEUSP, referentes ao significado da administração, ao término da parte teórica da disciplina Administração aplicada à Enfermagem. Para tanto foram coletadas as opiniões de 30 alunas do 8° semestre. Os resultados demonstraram que essas estudantes percebem a administração aplicada à enfermagem como um instrumento de trabalho que possibilita a prestação da assistência de enfermagem de forma mais eficiente e eficaz, bem como, as propostas de desenvolvimento da equipe de enfermagem e que a função administrativa é um papel que a enfermeira deve desempenhar no exercício profissional

Gallium-67 imaging in a patient with paracoccidioidomycosis: a case report Pesquisa de corpo inteiro com gálio-67 em uma paciente com paracoccidioidomicose: relato de caso

A 26 year-old female was admitted with abdominal pain, fever and weight loss. The clinical and laboratory investigations led to the diagnosis of paracoccidioidomycosis. Gallium-67 whole body images correlated well with the clinical course of the disease and with the patient's prognosis.<br>Paciente do sexo feminino de 26 anos foi internada com dor abdominal, febre e emagrecimento.
