    The sensitivity of the B→πKB \to \pi K mode to electroweak penguins and the recent experimental data for the B→ππB \to \pi \pi, πK\pi K modes has given rise to what is known as the ``B→πKB \to \pi K puzzle''. Recently it has been observed that this {\sl puzzle} can be resolved by considering the new physics which can enter via Z0Z^0 penguins.     We propose the deterministic rate equation of three-species in the reaction - diffusion system. For this case, our purpose is to carry out the decay process in our three-species reaction-diffusion model of the form A+B+C→DA+B+C\to D. The particle density and the global reaction rate are also shown analytically and numerically on a two-dimensional square lattice with the periodic boundary conditions.     Analysis of the B→K2∗(→Kπ)l+l−B \to K^*_{2} (\to K \pi) l^+ l^- decay

    In this paper we study the angular distribution of the rare B decay B→K2∗(→Kπ)l+l−B \to K^*_2 (\to K \pi) l^+ l^-, which is expected to be observed soon. We use the standard effective Hamiltonian approach, and use the form factors that have already been estimated for the corresponding radiative decay B→K2∗γB \to K^*_2 \gamma. The additional form factors that come into play for the dileptonic channel are estimated using the large energy effective theory (LEET), which enables one to relate the additional form factors to the form factors for the radiative mode. Our results provide, just like in the case of the K∗(892)K^*(892) resonance, an opportunity for a straightforward comparison of the basic theory with experimental results which may be expected in the near future for this channel.Comment: 14 pages, 5 figures; as accepted for Phys.     Gravitino fields in Schwarzschild black hole spacetimes

    The analysis of gravitino fields in curved spacetimes is usually carried out using the Newman-Penrose formalism. In this paper we consider a more direct approach with eigenspinor-vectors on spheres, to separate out the angular parts of the fields in a Schwarzschild background. The radial equations of the corresponding gauge invariant variable obtained are shown to be the same as in the Newman-Penrose formalism. These equations are then applied to the evaluation of the quasinormal mode frequencies, as well as the absorption probabilities of the gravitino field scattering in this background.Comment: 21 pages, 2 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1006.3327 by other author

    Critical temperature of Bose-Einstein condensation in trapped atomic Bose-Fermi mixtures

    We calculate the shift in the critical temperature of Bose-Einstein condensation for a dilute Bose-Fermi mixture confined by a harmonic potential to lowest order in both the Bose-Bose and Bose-Fermi coupling constants. The relative importance of the effect on the critical temperature of the boson-boson and boson-fermion interactions is investigated as a function of the parameters of the mixture. The possible relevance of the shift of the transition temperature in current experiments on trapped Bose-Fermi mixtures is discussed.Comment: 15 pages, 2 figures, submitted to J. Phys.
