Non-Linear Supersymmetric σ\sigma -Models and their Gauging in the Atiyah-Ward Space-Time

We present a supersymmetric non-linear \s-model built up in the $N=1$ superspace of Atiyah-Ward space-time. A manifold of the K\"ahler type comes out that is restricted by a particular decomposition of the K\"ahler potential. On geometry-dependent vortex stability and topological spin excitations on curved surfaces with cylindrical symmetry

We study the Heisenberg Model on cylindrically symmetric curved surfaces. Two kinds of excitations are considered. The first is given by the isotropic regime, yielding the sine-Gordon equation and $\pi$-solitons are predicted. The second one is given by the XY model, leading to a vortex turning around the surface. Helical states are also considered, however, topological arguments can not be used to ensure its stability. The energy and the anisotropy parameter which stabilizes the vortex state are explicitly calculated for two surfaces: catenoid and hyperboloid. Probing the two-scale-factor universality hypothesis by exact rotation symmetry-breaking mechanism

We probe the two-scale factor universality hypothesis by evaluating, firstly explicitly and analytically at the one-loop order, the loop quantum corrections to the amplitude ratios for O($N$) $\lambda\phi^{4}$ scalar field theories with rotation symmetry-breaking in three distinct and independent methods in which the rotation symmetry-breaking mechanism is treated exactly. We show that the rotation symmetry-breaking amplitude ratios turn out to be identical in the three methods and equal to their respective rotation symmetry-breaking ones, although the amplitudes themselves, in general, depend on the method employed and on the rotation symmetry-breaking parameter. At the end, we show that all these results can be generalized, through an inductive process based on a general theorem emerging from the exact calculation, to any loop level and physically interpreted based on symmetry ideas.Comment: 17 pages, 3 figure

Avanços da agricultura familiar em latossolo vermelho - amarelo distrófico no Estado de Rondônia, Amazônia brasileira - Levantamento Preliminar.

O presente artigo é um estudo preliminar de uma pesquisa envolvendo agricultores que utilizam sistemas de cultivo agroecológico no Município de Alto Paraíso-Rondônia localizado na Amazônia Brasileira. O objetivo do artigo é identificar a classe de solo dos agricultores envolvidos com agroecologia e correlacionar com dados de aptidão agrícola do Planafloro - Plano Agroflorestal de Rondônia, visando subsidiar políticas públicas e ambientais. O solo classificado como Latossolo Vermelho Amarelo Distrófico é o de maior ocorrência no Município sendo sua fertilidade natural baixa a muito baixa, e constituindo assim a principal limitação de uso agrícola. Apesar disso, agricultores agroecológicos tem conseguido desenvolver cultivos neste tipo de solo

Características do setor de distribuição de mandioca e derivados em Rondônia: um estudo exploratório.

Descreve-se a forma como está organizado o setor de distribuição de mandioca e derivados em Rondônia, tanto dos produtos produzidos localmente quanto dos oriundos de outras regiões do país. A metodologia utilizada foi a da pesquisa exploratória, de natureza quali-quantitativa, por meio da aplicação de instrumento de coleta de dados semi-estruturado junto a produtores, processadores e operadores do atacado e do varejo de mandioca e derivados em oito dos dez principais municípios produtores de mandioca do Estado. Os resultados obtidos indicam que o setor de distribuição de mandioca e derivados tem como característica predominante a distribuição intensiva, sendo operado por canais que vão do nível zero ao nível quatro. A pesquisa identificou que o setor está bem estruturado, principalmente os atacadistas e os varejistas de maior porte, por contar com fornecedores já definidos e por possuir uma estrutura logística bem delineada
