Sensitivity analysis of the synchronous generation repowering system in parallel with induction generator

In this work, it is proposed to calculate the sensitivity of parameters, based on analytical calculation, of repowered system between two electric generators, an induction generator and a synchronous generator, connected to a common bus in permanent regime, subject to a non-linear load. It is proposed a repowered system with simulated data where, based on percentage variations in the base values of the parameters, measurements are made for the analytical calculation that expresses the impact at the output caused by variations in the input. The experimental tests confirmed quantitatively the most sensitive variables for the system for the interval of interest. The results show that the generators and the nonlinear load are the input parameters with the highest sensitivity in the active power output and that the synchronous generator is responsible for the greater sensitivity in the reactive power output

Analytical method for calculating the sensitivity index of system parameters

    No full text
This work proposes an analytical method for calculating sensitivity index. The proposed method is based on oneat-a-time measurements and calculates the difference between output values and the base solution to define the impact caused by each parameter in the system. The results indicated that the analytical method provides adequate values for the sensitivity index even when the parameters have minor variation in relation to the base value, presenting coherent response with graphical analysis. The proposed method satisfies a wide range of systems and assigns value to the influence of the parameters, contributing to the decision-making process, calculation of system complexity, identification of systems, among other situations

Experimental study of induction generator as a repowering solution

    No full text
This article proposes a comparison between mathematical modeling and experimental results of the electric interactions of a synchronous and an induction generator. The electric system is composed by a synchronous generator operating in parallel with the induction generator, both through a common bus, connected to nonlinear loads. Measurements are made at several points for different system configurations presenting the repowering effect. The analysis of the harmonic flow and the sensitivity of the system parameters are performed. To make predictions in the system, a validated computational model with experimental data is proposed. The results obtained comparing the mathematical modeling and experimental tests show the increase of the active power by the induction generator, as well as the circulation of harmonic currents in the common bus. The results obtained through the computational model present predictions of load unbalance and

Development of enteric coated tablets from spray dried extract of feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium L: )

Tanacetum parthenium (feverfew) is an herb that is commercialized worldwide as a therapeutic treatment for migraine. Its pharmacological effect is mainly due to the presence of the sesquiterpene lactone parthenolide as well as of flavonoids. So far, there are no studies on standardization of pre-formulations or phytomedicines containing this herb. The present study aimed at developing a pre-formulation using a standardized spray-dried extract of feverfew and further designing and standardizing enteric coated tablets. In this work, the spray-dried extract of feverfew was evaluated for its parthenolide, santin and total flavonoid content, parthenolide solubility, particle size, tapped density, hygroscopicity, angle of repose and moisture content. Tablets containing the spray-dried extract were tested for their average weight, friability, hardness, and disintegration time. The total flavonoid and parthenolide contents in the spray-dried extract were 1.31 % and 0.76% w/w, respectively. The spray-dried extract presented consistent pharmacotechnical properties and allowed its tableting by direct compression. Tablet properties were in accordance with the proposed specifications. The procedures described herein can be used to prepare and evaluate pre-formulations of feverfew with adequate properties for the development of a high-quality phytomedicine.<br>Tanacetum parthenium (tanaceto) é uma planta medicinal comercializada no mundo todo para tratamento de enxaqueca.
